Meriko Gendou: Hellooo~ ^0^ And I'm sorry but I must disagree. When it comes to the sappy crappy that I write I have MUCH to be ashamed of. XD Two word: Mary Sue. I turned canon characters into Mary Sues. Gary Stues. Whatever. It was very sad.

LadyDelaidra What does the term Mary Sue mean, anyways? >>;; is a term used to describe those all-too-perfect characters who litter bad fan-fiction. Usually they are OC's or self-inserts, but sometimes canon characters can be altered so much that they become Mary Sues (or, in the case of a male character, a Gary Stu).

A FFIX Mary Sue could be...
Fic begins sort of mid-game and turns into an Alternate Universe sort of thing. Mary Sue is drop-dead gorgeous, Garnet's secret long-lost sister who has more summoning powers than Garnet and Eiko combined, and both Kuja and Zidane fall in love with her at first sight. So many bad things happen to her that Job feels lucky when God tells him about Mary Sue's adventures and yet True Love or her Amazing PowerZ save her every single time.
If it's a PG fic, she converts Kuja to goodness, saves the planet with her pinky, and marries Zidane.
If it's a lemon, there's a long chapter tacked on to the end of the above ending where she has hot monkey sex with Zidane.
If it's a PWP, she has a threesome with Kuja and Zidane that takes up five chapters of the seven chapter fic.
