Eh, depends on how much time you spend reading. I read pretty quickly, and I HAVE to have some time away from friends, no matter how long it's been since I've seen them, or else I'm overwhelmed. So, provided you aren't holed up reading for 2 1/2 weeks ignoring your friends, nope. Not geeky. XD

XD Fair enough. I don't think my other activities over there will redeem me from geekdom though. It seems I'll mostly be playing on my friends x-box or have them try to get me to play a magic card game (their latest fascination, I don't know if you've heard of "magic the gathering" cards). I do hope to get some good drawing practise in though.

Video games, not necessarily geeky. Magic the Gathering... yep, geeky. XD I've never played, but some of my friends do. Drawing practice is good, I really like your artwork ^^

Yeah, I agree with magic cards being geeky. They do have some good artwork on some of them though, I'll give them that...
Thank you for the art compliment. I should have some more work to show off by the time I get back.

If you say so. I've only ever seen a few. My friend is dressing up as a Magic card, the Infernal Spawn of Evil - a mouse with a mug of cocoa. Don't ask, I don't know.

That's scary... in an amusing sort of way. XD
I don't think any of my friends would go that far though. They just play it for the fun of it and that's as far as it goes.

Well, she's dressing up for the con, so it's almost understandable. Most people dress up as more... I was going to say normal... recognizable things, though. I wonder if she'll be carrying around a mug... and what will be in it. XD Need to ask her.

I've never actually been to a convention of any sort. It sounds quite fun but also possibly scary. Much like your friend sounds actually... XD

I am so excited about going to this one. It will be my first SF convention, and it's a huge one - over 20 000 people. Anne McCaffrey and Harlan Ellison will be there, along with a lot of other authors (some of whom I've even heard of.) They'll have all sorts of panels, and events, and and ::bounces around:: XD

I think that would be quite overwhelming for someone such as myself. I'm sure you will have a lot of fun though. I don't think I've ever read you being so excited before... XD

I'm worried about it being overwhelming, too, but I can usually ignore the crowd. I'm good at blocking things out. XD I'm sure it is the most excited you've read me, as this is the most excited I've been in a good while. Looking forward to it muchly.

Well have plenty of fun. I should probably be going now to start packing a load of stuff... Erm, I'll talk to you (a lot) later then, if I can catch you hanging around at the early hours in about 3 weeks... >_<
