That he have them ba...oh...
Ryugi's mind clicked in recognition of what Maximos had just said. Ryugi wasn't going to press the matter, that was perhaps saved for some time in the future, but for now, he'd rather spend the time to catch up with his revived friend. As Maximos asked Ryugi for the cloth, Ryugi nodded. If his friend wasn't technically dead anymore, he technically had claim to the piece of cloth anyway, so it was only right that if he wanted it returned, Ryugi give it back to him.
Alright... Though, technically it DOES belong to you. Heh...
Ryugi reached into his back once more, and grasped the single piece of black fabric. He then placed it in his friend's hand as he'd asked, the hand then moving to scratch his neck again. That itch was really bugging him.

::He held the cloth for a moment before crinkling it into a ball in the palm of his hand, and then gently laying his right arm over his left. Wincing a few times as moved the arm.::
Thats a wonderful tradition, I can see at least 2 more people kept alive by what you keep in that bag.
::Sparks gently began to rise up his arm and then trickle black down::
A small trinket is all thats needed to keep their spirits living ever onward. Things like those keep them from being permenantly designated to the past tense. But...
::He began rolling his hands around like one might roll play-doh, though the way his hands were cupped hid the fabric from view.::
For a living being such as myself, a memory is only a visit away. Friend thats alive can make new rich memories...you should have something more substantial than that.
::Slowly instead of the quiet of rolling fabric his hands were making, a small jingle could be heard, like metal against metal, and carefully Maximos opened his hand, pulling on the metal chain to reveal a necklace. A long black chain with a black jewel on the end. The jewel seemed dull in direct sunlight but glimmered in the dark, it even glowed ever so lightly in the pitch black.::
Here you go Ryugi.
::Maximos offered him the necklace.::
With that, I'm but a thought away, if your in an emergency you can even use it to summon me...just, go easy on the summoning. Here try it on!

Maximos Thats a wonderful tradition, I can see at least 2 more people kept alive by what you keep in that bag. A small trinket is all thats needed to keep their spirits living ever onward. Things like those keep them from being permanently designated to the past tense. But... Ryugi grinned warmly, his eyes sparkling a bit as he replied. I would hope so... I find it better to remember those that have passed not simply with memories, but with physical items. Memories can be forgotten, but a physical piece can last forever if well kept. It does me good to know that my dear friends are still going strong, somewhere.Maximos For a living being such as myself, a memory is only a visit away. Friend thats alive can make new rich memories...you should have something more substantial than that. Ryugi watched as the piece of fabric was moved within his friend's hands, and then his ears picked up the metal ringing and the crackle. Something amazing was happening, and Ryugi was spellbound by it as his friend lifted the necklace up for him to see. Dark though it was, it had a natural beauty, like a piece of polished obsidian, but far darker. Maximos Here you go Ryugi. With that, I'm but a thought away, if your in an emergency you can even use it to summon me...just, go easy on the summoning. Here try it on! Ryugi shook himself out of the awe caused by the jewel, and took the necklace carefully from his friend. He placed it around his neck, under his scarf, right next to the pendant he'd gaining the the Fire Plane. I'll go easy on the summoning, I promise. It's absolutely beautiful. Thank you...Max. I'll treasure this for the rest of my life...All signs of disappointment would be gone from Maximos' eye as he looked at Ryugi. He'd only see joy, a strong feeling of gratitude, and perhaps a strong yearning to pay him back for the wondrous gift he'd just received.

Ryugi Kazamaru All signs of disappointment would be gone from Maximos' eye as he looked at Ryugi. He'd only see joy, a strong feeling of gratitude, and perhaps a strong yearning to pay him back for the wondrous gift he'd just received. ::And with that, the smile spread from ear to ear. Disappointment simply wouldnt do, not at all. Ryugi might notice a difference in his shadow later on, where necklace sat, there was a hole in his shadow. It was totally normal, its what allowed for that summoning effect.:: I'm glad you like it.::He said as sincere as could be.:: You definately deserve it.Ryugi Kazamaru I'll treasure this for the rest of my life... And beyond my friend.::Maximos said with something of a smirk.:: And beyond...::There as no trick to the necklace that dictated that, Maximos just knew a little more about the life and death cycle, that was all.::

Ruuvan wasn't sure whether to be surprised or not that D took the gauntlets as his own, but they fit perfectly and little Destroyer, erm... D, would most likely treasure them and take care of them as well as he possibly could.
Most of the other happenings came as a blur to him, a piece of cloth being changed into a necklace and something about summoning Maximos whenever Ryu needed; definitely a neat present. Still, Ruu had zoned out for the time being and allowed a calm to wash over his mind, focusing on nothing but the waves with both his eyes and ears. He had brought Max back, thus keeping the promise made between them back on Aria, but there was always a looming feeling that it wasn't quite over yet... but that could just the buzz from the past day still running through his body.

Sunstrike ((Sorry for all the delays Owlie x.x been all over the place these last couple of weeks)) He laughed for the first time in someone elses presence. It wasn't very grating, but it did sound as though it didn't happen very often. "You're already thinking too hard. Look," He took a few of the more complicated pieces off the board, tapping the spiral underneath, or at least, at first it looked like a spiral, but then it shifted, and branched where he touched the top. Suddenly the doll shifted sideways, a little further from the others. "The pieces move themselves according to your thought, as long as you touch the table, they will move based on the process your mind goes through. Become distracted by problems, and your characters suffer, like the dolly. She's suddenly been taken in a differant direction. Should they fall over or fall off the board, I win."He put his head in his hand and stared at the board. "I guess you could say it's a game of order versus chaos. You're trying to organize things, and bring the story in full, I'm trying to take it apart, to scatter them."((It's okay, Sunny. I still wuv you. heart *huggles*)) Owle smiled, though she got the feeling he was laughing at her. She was a bit used to laughing at herself, so why shouldn't he? "EH?" Her eyes widened in surprise as the board shifted at his touch, the spiral branching off and the doll moving off course. Then they shone. "Neat!" Owle raised her eyes from the board to him, grinning widely in excitement. She'd never seen anything like this! The young woman bounced up and down a bit in her eagerness to play, forgetting for the moment the events that had led her here. Vahn, Sunstrike, even Rafe got pushed to the back of her mind as she anticipated the game with childlike exuberance. "How do I start?"

LAAAAAAAAND HOO!!
::The sailor shouted from the bow as the ship approached a rather large island. It extended out several hundred feet in all directions and atop the island was a large red stripped windmill, just gently chugging along. The rest of the islands surface was a beautifully manicured garden. Not a single leaf seemed out of place.
Maximos whipped around leaning over the edge of the boat and pointing like a little kid would. He just about as giddy as can be, with a smile spread across his face like butter on toast.::
Thats it!
::Slowly the boat came to a stop, and the dock was extended to an open stretch of land so as not to crush the begonia's. Maximos ran to the edge of the boat, insisting that since it was his home, his guests board the island first, by briskly waving his hand.::
--20 minutes earlier--
::The main manor door opened revealing a charred Walter. He had been gone roughly an hour, and without delay made his way to his room for a fresh change of clothes, and then made his way to the dining room from where he could hear conversation brewing between the little girl, and Joshua.::
My apologies young maiden, Sir Joshua...
::He would bow to each one in cue with their names.::
I had a bit of personal business to attend to. Is everything to your liking?

"No, sssir. Can't sssay I do, thisss isss my firssst time in Latent. My bessst guesss would be to head to the nearessst religiousss building." It made perfect sense to her. Find the church, find the cemetary, at least that's how it normally went.

"Right, let's go find the church then," Kaiser said enthusiastically. Once they found themselves someone who could talk with the dead, they would be one more step closer to finding that treasure, and Kaiser would be one step closer to paying off all his debts and being a free man.

In a nearby alley way a small pile of clothing would move a bit. Shifting as if it were alive. Suddenly a pair of littel greeen eyes would shine out from under the clothing.
Had he heard right, was there really someone that was looking for a necromancer? Maybe this was his chance to get close to one. It would be worth the risk.
The little being inside the pile of clothing stood up. It would appear that the being only stood about 4' tall. The little thing would quickly jump up into the air and latch onto a the nearby wall of the building. As he climbed across the wall he would make his was closer to Kaiser and his friend, though even if one of them were to look in his direction they most likely would not notice him. For not only did he not give off much more heat than what the clothig he was wearing would, but he also had the unique talent of remaining entirely un-noticed almost all the time. If if you knew he was there you would find it nearly impossable to look directly at him, let alone get a clear view of his appearance.

If Adrienne noticed their stalker she gave no indication that she did as she followed after Kaiser. "What if we can't find anyone who ssspeaksss to ghosts?" It was a possibility that they would be unable to locate the type of person they needed, was there a Plan B if that happened?

Kaiser had already thought of that possibility, and indeed had a Plan B - or at least, other options to consider. "Unless you've got some gold to buy a few magic scrolls, we'll have to travel to some gods-forsaken undead-infested land to find us someone who can talk to the dead. Otherwise, we're S-O-L."
Kaiser didn't notice their unknown stalker either. He generally didn't notice anything that stood under his eye level, unless they were thieving halflings. Everyone notices thieving halflings.
The church wasn't too far off, and fortunately there was a priest standing outside the door, greeting people as they passed. The priest likewise greeted them as Kaiser strolled up to him. He was young, perhaps in his early-twenties, wearing the commom clerical robes of a serving priest. He had brown hair, brown eyes, and had a light build.
"Greetings, travellers. Are you here to attend mass?" the priest asked.
"No, Father. We're looking for someone who can speak to the dead," Kaiser replied.
The priest gasped and clutched the amulet hanging around his neck. "Speak with the dead?! What devilry is this?"
"We're on a que--" Kaiser started, but was abruptly cut off by the priest.
"You will find no necromancers here! Go elsewhere to seek such villainy!"

The little being would sit down just outside of the church grounds and listen to what they were saying to the preaist. He would mutter a few fowl words under his breath, after hearing what the priest had to say and then he would go back to watching.

Adrienne couldn't help but smirk at the priest as she let out a low hiss. "Awww, what'sss the matter, Father? I thought God loved all hisss creaturesss, great and sssmall." She moved past Kaiser, sidling up to the priest. "Necromancersss aren't all bad, Father. They can be quite helpful," Adri said as she leaned in close to the man. Her lips brushed lightly against his flesh as she whispered into his ear. "I can be quite helpful, Father, if you direct usss to a necromancer or sssomeone who can talk to ssspiritsss," one hand slid up his body to rest on his shoulder as her fangs pressed ever so slightly against his neck. "Come on, Father, help a poor, blind girl out, caussse I'd jussst hate to have to punisssh you for judging othersss. Essspecially when I could reward you inssstead."

The priest ducked back from her, clutching his amulet even tighter, his face turning to an expression of outrage. "Keep away from me, wench! I am a man of the church, and cannot be easily swayed by any temptations of the body you offer me! I told you, you cannot find any necromancers here, and I do not know where you can find any. Even if I did, it is not my business to help those who are seeking practitioners of evil magicks."
Kaiser was getting annoyed with this priest. "Can you at least tell us the name of anyone who would know where we can find one? It's important for us to find one so we can accomplish our mission."
"Sorry I cannot be of any help. Please leave me at peace now, or I will be forced to summon the guard."
"Gods, this guy is impossible," Kaiser cursed, much to the bitterment of the priest.
