"Your welcome," Arlen whispered back, stroking Lily's back to try and settle her down. "Good night Tomo," he added, nodding to the man.

Lily slowly relaxed in his arms, the restless fidgets coming fewer and farther between. The energy was still there though, and every once in awhile she trembled with it. "Love you Arlen." she murmured, clinging to him tightly. "Sorry I'm always such a pest."

"Yes I am." Lily sighed and picked up her head, giving him a light kiss. "But I'm glad you think otherwise." she smiled a little, then put her head back on his shoulder. "I'll find out what's wrong and fix it. I promise."

"I know." Lily mumured, then hugged him tightly. "And if there's anything you can do I promise to let you know." she told him. Feeling all of the excess energy begin to drain away, she gave a soft sigh of relief

"I honestly don't know. It could, but she's so far away...it's hard to think that anything but a serious injury or something of that magnitude would affect me." Lily sighed and snuggled closer, seeking reassurance in his warmth. "But maybe it is."

Lily frowned, thinking that through. "It could be that...it does have an awful lot of my energy in it...almost died making the damn thing, it sucked so much out of me, but...I'd think that nii-san would be going through the same thing, if it was that, don't you? But maybe not...I dunno..."

"Well..." Lily hesitated, clearly torn between wanting to feel better and watching over her older but somehow frailer counterpart. "I guess since nii-san's got the other I could take it off for a bit." she murmured reluctantly, carefully undoing the clasp. "But you can't wear it...it would have some nasty effects.

Lily tucked the necklace in one of the pockets in her denim skirt for safe keeping, then smiled lightly. "If it's really that, I think it'll take awhile before anything changes." she murmured. "I'll keep it off tonight." she hesitated, then stroked his cheek. "I wish you could like him."
