Dark Gundam Mark II Anyone Play as Chaos Undivided? Most folks play undivided forces nowadays. I tend toward Nurgle or Slaanesh, but I rarely mix them.

i started off as a full khorne army, but as i expanded upto the 3000 point mark, i began to include other gods into the army with thousand sons, nurgle bikers, and slanneshi troops,

That is true how people tend to play more Chaos Undivided than any other legion. But hey I mean they have power over all the gods and abilities and have use of the most powerful Special character in the game. Abaddon the Despoiler.

Don't be silly, Abbadon is easy to beat. Calgar beat him up, Lysander beat him up, the Night Bringer and Deceiver slaughtered him. Saying that, the Night Bringer can kill that massive Bloodthirsty, Angrath I think he was called.

i would say typhus is harder to beat than abbadon, purely for the reason of typhus passing all phychic tests, a force+daemon weapon, and anyone who charges him, doesnt get their bonuses thanks to included blight grenades.
whats abbadon got compared to that

Then I guess you guys never played a Real Abbadon player then. compared to others I use Chaos to it's full potential. in a sense I can make and if I get lucky can make him match nearly a Greater Daemon. Plus even if Typhus can try to remove his abilities Abbadon has the Mark of Chaos which Bestows all of the chaos to him. so in other words he would be a greater version of Typhus. Plus he can;t be killed outright and can slay a Landraider with his weapons alone. Plus he has a great Invuranble Save. you might wish to look him up sometime if you wish to be a true Chaos Player.

DG, you might want to try -not- being a condescending a** in your posts.
Point for point against other special characters, yeah, Abbadon is up there. He hits hard with a potential load of attacks and is somewhat hard to bring down. For his points, though, you can put a lot more tactical flexibility into your list. Hell, for his points, you can get eighteen base CSM or a trio of Dakkapredators. Yeah, there's good reason to use him if you want to, but you can get more efficiency out of his points in other ways.

Allow me to enlighten you Caleidah. For me I play Chaos, Space marines, Imperial Guard and the Imperial Inquisition but when someone bad mouths a good unit that just doesn't work with me I'm trying not to argue just telling them that he is the Ultimate Badass. But hey he can be killed no one ever said he was Invincible. Well of course I could put more Chaos but why do that when Abbadon makes up for it with his abilities. So for me Abbadon works just as well as a small Battlion. but just saying it as a thought though.

Allow me to enlighten you, DG. I primarily play CSM, but also dabble in Imperial Guard, Inquisition (Daemonhunters primarily, don't like sisters), Tau, Eldar, and many others I could name. I've played with every army but, then again, most folks in this guild have. That's why our discussions are so good. We all have a little experience with everyone with our own fields of expertise.
Abbadon -can- be points effective. I won't deny that. He has beastly stats, good rules, etc etc ad infinitum. I won't argue that point, because it is impossible to argue against what is printed in the books. What I can and will argue, though, is that you can re-purpose the points that you would have spent on him toward huge amounts of field flexibility. If you don't have a Land Raider (another big investment of points), that means that Abbadon has to walk or deepstrike in. Spending the extra points on the almost necessary Terminators to go with him again takes a big slice out of your army.
Now on toward the more tactical side. Given that he has a 1/6 chance of hurting himself and being unable to attack in any given assault, he becomes a magnet for tarpit units, the same as any other Chaos Lord. An IG player will hurl conscripts with an attached Commissar Lord, Orkz have the tide of boyz, etc. All armies have one. Sure, they might break after one assault. Those kinds of units run the risk of that happening in any assault. However, Daemon Weapon users like Abbadon have a chance of actively harming themselves in combat. They are the only characters in the game that have that ability. I would much save around 100 pts and throw a Terminator Lord of Khorne at my enemies for that.
I know that you'll disagree and you have every right to. I'm OK with that. Just please do not be condescending toward me or any other member of this guild while you are here.

Well I respect your opinion and will back down as said. I'm not here to argue or make Furious judgements. I wish to be heard at a level where people can take me seriously is all. I wish not to be disrespected by saying that a Character I use Effectively to be made Barsh as if he is nothing.
That is all. In truth they insulted me by making it look like I was an idiot no less. All Special Characters are a huge waste of points that I know. you just need to take the time to figure out how to put that Special Character to good use. I learned that from another player who I look as a friend. He and I team up, he told me it isn't the army it is the commander in charge that makes the difference.

Just remember, everyone, it isn't fun to feel like you're being picked on.
DG, I'd love to talk CSM tactica with you some more. What's your favorite unit?

If I may just add my suggestion to this debate on the favourite unit. Chaos Marines on bikes with Mark of Nurgle. Tie nearly anything up in combat. Toughness 6, nasty, give the champion a power sword or fist and your having a blast.
