"Frankly, I'd just like to see something half as cool as the trait system for EVERY army? Who can argue with that?"
I sure as hell can't I would LOVE to see the trait system integrated into every army (as opposed to just marines and guard-- well it's "doctrines" in a guard army). That way you could see actual variation in armies as opposed to stereotypical armies: "he plays Iron Warriors? Oh well, then he must have 3 pieplates and/or 9 obliterators." or "rainbow aspect eldar". The possibilities of speed kult or evan kommando ork lists alone is awesome IF they got a form of traits system integrated into all the armies-- will it happen? Maybe 10 years down the line, but until then GW will undoubtedly make the marines to be the "ultimate" army.

Wow. That wasn't bitter at all. whee
There are some things you have to remember, even if they are things you dont like to remember. Rather, ONE thing you have to remember.
All publications by GW are from Imperium perspective.
The game, frankly, revolves around the Imperium.

That's only cuz we're all humans. They'd see it different if they were Orks.

Dark Lore Lt. Brookman Maegnis Ra Does anybody know something about the origin of the blood ravens? As I mentioned in the DoW thread: it involves Eldar one way or the other. CS Goto is to blame for that. Somewhere in the past of the Blood Ravens they raped or were raped by Eldar and as such, have such a high proportion of librarians in their chapter. Also, they keep Eldar relics and artifacts at their old keeps for some perverted reason. Oh yes God Bless CS Goto... "And the 6 terminators bundled out of their Razorback transport" That one sentance is enough to make me want to burn him. In wich of the books is that? in assencion the used a land raider for that. Plus his books aren't that bad are they?

Gah, I think it would be artistic freedom if i set the b*****d on fire. Trouble is i'm not allowed a negative opinion of his books at work and Gak me I hate selling people his books.

Grow some balls mate, the staff over at my store are very honest in the books they sell. They tell people to give Goto's books a wide berth, especially that new Eldar shitfest of his. Did you know that each book penned by his hand has a reference to Eldar in it? And the ******** doesn't even know how to present them properly! To him they are just elves in space. He's got a bleeding Eldar fetish for crying out loud! He lets an Imperial Fist captain, puritan to the effing bone prance around with an Eldar sword willingly...
You'd be surprised how great the sigh of relief was when we found out that Goto was NOT amongst the authors picked for the Horus Heresy project.

Pardon me as I jump for joy at that news! xp Honestly, I am not a fan of Goto's work.

There's a whole thread on Warseer devoted to whether or not Goto is ruining the hobby.
I've never read anything of his (?) so I have no say, and I'm waaaaay too tired to bother digging up a link for you people.

I do tell my 'friend' vets not to buy but my manager is very very strict on the FAITH BEFORE HERESY ideal at work. I'm not allowed a negative oppinion on the books, well officially, but I probably should tell people not to buy his books ....
Anyway
So Space Marines, Anyone been using attack bikes of late? I see so very few people use them except for me... probably because they don't have assault cannons XD

Im thinking of getting some Bikers for my chaos army, I imagine they have the same capabilities. Since my army will be close combat oriented, Ill probably make them a quick shooty unit to soften targets up.
