The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn has his eyes closed but since he was still human, it was obvious he wasn't truly asleep. When Ashriel began stirring, he opened his eyes and yawned. "Welcome back to the land of the living." He said with a chuckle. Seeing the confusion on her face, he smiled and kissed the bump. "You fell out of bed, in case you were wondering." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel thought for a moment before nodding. "Okay...did I miss anything?" She asked him, wondering what had gone on while she'd been so tired and sleeping.

Raevyn shook his head. "Nothing. We just talked." He told her, making it sound like it had just been idle talk, nothing much. "We were letting you nap. Lucian and Jennalin are gone though. They left awhile ago." He added belatedly, thinking she would want to know that.

Ashriel nodded quietly, not thinking there would be anything behind it. The only reason she didn't sit up was that she didn't want to leave the spot she was in with Raevyn. She wanted to stay right here. She hugged her arms around him again, a little dizzy now that she was really starting to feel that hit to her head.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn held her quietly for awhile, then spoke softly. "How hungry are you?" His own stomach was beginning to growl, demanding to be fed. Comfy as he was, it was food time. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel shrugged as her own stomach let out the growl she'd been holding in. "Just a little." She answered quietly, still not wanting to go anywhere. Her eyes looked up at his face, a smile on her own.

Raevyn chuckled. "More than a little I suspect." He told her with a smirk. He slowly let go of her, sitting up and stretching. With a yawn, he climbed from the bed and padded into the kitchen, leaving Ashriel in the comfy bed. He set to work making supper.

Ashriel watched him walk out, standing up after he was in the kitchen. She walked in, still favoring her sore leg slightly. Ash didn't notice that she was still limping slightly; she wasn't paying attention. She looked at Raevyn, grinning. "I want to help." She decided, going over to him.

Raevyn took one look at Ashriel and wisely decided not to argue with her. "Alright. Mind peeling and cutting the carrots?" He asked, nodding towards the carrots he'd set on the counter. He deliberately gave her a job she could do sitting down. He could see her limping.

Ashriel went over to the counter, smiling. She began to peel and cut the carrots standing right there. Really, she didn't mind standing. Her eyes watched the carrots carefully as she cut them, leaning much more on her better leg than the other.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn watched her from the corner of his eye. As long as she showed no signs of pain, he was content to let her do as she wanted. It was easier than arguing with her. He dumped his own ingredients into the pot before gathering the chopped carrots from Ashriel and adding them to the soup. He stirred it slowly. "Now to just let it simmer." He said, setting the lid on the pot and sitting down. Using his foot he nudged out another chair. "You might as well sit too." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn as he sat down. She limped to the chair, still unaware that she was showing the favor to that leg. Yes, it was still sore, but she'd gotten used to hiding pain. Her eyes looked at him quietly, and she sat down.

Ashriel looked down, not sure how to answer. She'd been so sure that she'd been hiding it well. "Just as sore as it was when I got my cast off." Not untrue. Just not the full truth. She didn't mention that it felt like someone was constantly wrapping it with painful pressure; if he couldn't tell, she figured she could get away with not saying anything. It wasn't really the bone that hurt; it felt more like the muscle was ripping - probably just something from the long period of no use.
