"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Cerri informed him, then turned and crossed the room to slip her arms around him, kissing him softly. "But thank you anyway." she murmured, smiling. "Are you hungry? I'm thinking of going and making some food..."

Cass obviously had her back to Tomokazu, or she'd have moved faster. She scuffled her feet around the corner to the stairs, and prayed that he'd been drowsy enough to not hear her.

"Would you like a beholder eye?" Guan asked Cerri, wrapping his arms around her and returning the kiss. "They're not too difficult to obtain."

Tomo's green eyes were suddenly made of needles. "How was your evening, Cass?" He asked, standing up slowly. "Mine wasn't so bad..." He murmured with his arms crossed, "After about the third drink."

Cerri laughed, eye twinkling, then tipped her head to one side, considering. "Hmm... I'm not sure, love. Let me think on that one, and I'll get back to you. Now... do you want some food, or some tea?"

"I was busy. I did not come to the dance.. and.. I should've told you." Cass said, eyes on the floor. The tone of her voice was quiet, and scared. Almost as if, she'd rather not disclose anything else, and rather just get away until he forgot about it all. "Did you have a good time?"

"Yeah. You could've mentioned something." Tomo muttered, going behind the bar to get himself a cup of tea. "Did I have a good time?" He repeated, tapping his chin. "No one came. It was only after midnight when I was too drunk to stand that Ukaia gave me a pity dance."

Cerri practically melted against him, arms tightening around him marginally. She looked up into his face and smiled, then gave him another kiss. "I think I might." she murmured, then gently pulled away, taking his hand, pulling him playfully toward the door. "I need fooood... you made me all hungry." she teased, laughing.

Tomo held his shoulders, "Where were you?" He asked, ears very limp on his head. "I'm just..." He shrugged. "I was so excited and no one was there. And you not being there just made it worse."

Cerri grinned happily, though that faded when she reached the main floor and felt the tense atmosphere. She glanced between Cass and Tomo, then cleared her throat and ducked quickly into the kitchen, letting go of Guan's hand, leaving him to decide where he would wait.

Cass mumbled something inaudibly, and her hands were carefully resting on her stomach, almost protectively. She looked away, and headed for the stairs again. "Just-a-doctor-and-I-didn't-know." she said, even hard for herself to hear, and her ears were perked up, in sheer nervousness.

Tomo perked his ears up to hear, but it was in vain. "What did you say?" He asked as he stepped closer, waving to Cerri as he passed. "What happened?"
