Start with the twenty days. I can speak for myself and say that my weekends are more busy than my weekdays due to social engagement, school starting, and football games and what-not.

I'd say go fifteen, start today. Waiting until the end of the week is too long, considering we've waited half a month already.
I don't like writing competitively, stopping for a month, writing some more, etc. etc.

I believe the fifteen or twenty day idea is a good one solely because a good deal of the participants here are starting college or already in college. I'm actually attending two colleges and going to be working so I believe the extra time will give everyone a healthy amount of time for posting and possibly helping a great deal of a few matches come to a decisive close.
I vote for start today with either or fifteen or twenty days to post. My preference is actually the twenty day.

Striker Nightmare If you've got a place in mind, name it. Doesn't really bother me. I was actually thinking more along the lines of a setting rather than a thread. Like a place where earth fighters would enjoy themselves.

Hrm.. Jem is more.. flower and tree oriented than what you'd consider "Earth." I mean sure, those things are included, but it's not the stereotypical rock and what-not.
A rugged mountain trail, perhaps? Plenty of trees, flowers, wild-life, and rocks around for everyone.

Start today. Anyone in college knows the workload is comparatively light for the first couple of weeks with the exception of a few courses (like certain history or math courses).
Start today, worry about extending it if the fights don't get going. If enough stall, extend the limit.
