Very carefully, she took his hand, and used all the strength in her once athletic legs, and propelled herself to standing. "Okaaaay.." she whined. Still, she had a tux, and he had a dress. When was this lazy bum going to ask her to go with him? Not milling on the question, she scraped some of the excess mud off of her dress, and started for the Muffin.

Tomo took her hand and ran with her under the awning over the front door, shaking off like a wet dog. "Hmm, there." he said, brushing some mud off of her before heading in. He walked over to the fireplace and tried to get a fire going to dry them off. Once he got that going, he ran to the bathroom to get them towels. He handed one to Cass and sat down on the hearth. "There we go."

Cass wrapped her hair up in the towel, like a professional. "I have to go change.." she said, waddling off to the stairs. After a few mometns, she came back in flannel pajama pants, and a maternity tee. Hair still in the towel, she plopped down next to him. "Much better."

Tomo, now looking much muddier and soaked that she did, blinked. "Oh fine. Ruin my fun." He said, not exactly sure how she was accomplishing that. He dropped his ears down to the sides of his head and sighed. "So... tempted... to... hug..."

Cass froze in her steps, and took slow steps backwars, preparing to run from him. She'd let him catch her, of course, but, she crouched lower ,as she backed up. "Nooo..." she challenged.

Tomo's lips curled and he sprung up and made a grab for her, but she was just out of reach and he ended up spiraling towards the floor. "We meet again, gravity!" He nearly shouted, rolling over onto his back. "You win... This time."

Cass extended her hands down to him, and laughed merrily. "I'd give your fall a 8 and a half out of 10." she jeered, as she smiled lovingly down at him.

Tomo stood with her help and instantly pulled her into a soaking wet hug, wrapping his tail around her legs to get them wet as well. "Gwuaha." He giggled, nuzzling her neck.

"Now that I'm all dirty again, you owe me a kiss." she said, pouting at him, and looking down at her messy teeshirt, and growled at his tail. Her own batted at it, and tried to pry it off of her legs.

Had Tomo been a neko, he would've calmly let go and kissed her. Maybe with a few extra licks and nuzzles thrown in. However, Tomo was human and was very much self-conscious of his tail. He was used to Kaia, who couldn't fight back. He wasn't expecting Cass to hit him with her own tail. He let go as if she were suddenly made of hot metal and turned red again. "S-Sorry!" He cried as if he had performed the greatest taboo known to man. He paused for a few moments, inching a little closer until he kissed her gently.

Cass's tail wound itself around Tomo's, as if forcing it to get used to hers, as her ears went limp. She returend his kiss, but only half as softly as she'd originally anticipated to. He seemed so.. taken a-back now.

Tomo slipped his tail out of hers and looked away, ashamed. "I-I'm gonna go get dry clothes on." He murmured before running upstairs.

Cass sighed, and walked over to the fire. Carefully, she lowered herself to the ground. With a soft thump, she hit the floor, and sat there, partially upright. Tomo was so... distant at times. Perhaps he wasn't as close to her as she had thought...

Tomo walked downstairs a few minutes later and scratched his head, "Sorry about that." he murmured, sitting down beside her. "I..." He closed his mouth and bit his lower lip. "I sometimes have trouble fitting in. I act too human for the neko and I look too neko for the humans." He chuckled a little to diffuse his nervousness.

"Okay." Cass replied, eyes entranced in the flames, as her ears lay flat to her head. Her tail swayed next to her leg, opposite Tomo, and she lay back onto her back. Staring up at the ceiling, she let her eyes lull, and she hummed a tune. Her tail dried very quickly, since the fur was so very thin, like her hair, and it held very little water when wet.
