"So," Bugsy began, tilting his head backward to view his 'guests'. "I assume you're here for more than an apology. What were you doing in my Gym before this little incident happened?" The boy turned swiftly, a slightly accusing gaze peered through his narrowed eyes as he walked towards the two young kids, even though they were easily older than him.

Kilik's eyes widened and he looked horrified. As if Anna was already bad enough, she had finally become what Maorde had wanted. The Alakazam that had appeared on the battlefield really made Kilik's hopes fall quite a bit. He clutched the Park Ball in his hand, throwing a look at Scizor. "Scizor! Attack Alakazam with yo--No!" He shielded himself when his Scizor took the Fire Punch straight to the gut. Had Kilik even been paying attention? She flew back, crashing into her trainer, bringing both of them to the ground. Struggling to stand again, she at least pulled herself off her master. Kilik stood as well, shaking a bit, looking at her. "Scizor...Can you still battle?" She nodded once. She had just enough energy to take one last hit for the team.
Giovanni growled. Both of my Pokemon are vulnerable because of Mike! He threw a cold look at his 'partner' then at Tyranitar. The dinosaur took the Surf attack dead on. Giovanni felt his loafers get a bit wet as well. However, Tyranitar took great care to dodge the Brick Break. He faultered for a moment, which worried Giovanni for a split second. When the beast was ready, he heard a deafening crash from Nitro's attack. "Now then, Tyranitar!" the man roared, "Earthquake!"
However, the attack never came. With a loud crash, Tyranitar fell to the ground, out cold.

Maorde wasn't the least bit surprised that Nitro would be zeroing in on Nidoking with his Fly attack-- after all, why bother attack Taffy with it? It'd hurt Nitro more than it would the quadruped. That taken into account, plus Nidoking's previous wounds resulted in a knockout-- something else that didn't surprise the man. Recalling his Pokemon, he turned to look to the Steel-and-Psychic type that remained.
"Very nice, Mike! Very nice indeed. You hold quite the promise for being such a young trainer. For that, I do commend you. You possess intellect and tactics that even this old brain of mine doesn't. Well done, boy. Well done." He grinned a bit, one-hundred percent sincere in his compliment.
"I do so wish you had taken one final thing into account, though." The grin changed from sincerity to an evil intent; he looked to the Metagross and nodded his head. "The time... is now. Taffy, do it!"
While it was his master's desire, Taffy never liked doing this. Shutting his eyes and putting every fiber of his being into preparing for an attack, the Metagross' body glowed a vibrant orange, before reverting back to its typical blue color. Orange, blue. Orange, blue. White.
Taffy exploded.
Turning his attention to the battle waged between his daughter and her friend, he grinned. "Electabuzz, your presence is no longer needed. Return." Recalling his Pokemon, Maorde was more interested in the Alakazam that stood near him. "It's good to see you again, my friend. Let's demonstrate the fury that you held inside of you so long ago-- Psychic Maelstrom!"
"What? What the hell is that?!" Almost instinctively, Nina snatched up Kilik's hand, pulling herself toward him, as if she was ready to jet off at any given second. However, she seemed frozen in place as she watched the events unfold.
This attack was like nothing she had ever seen. Alakazam seemed to create a force of pure psychic energy, molding it into the form of a small orb. It was black, pure black, save for the lightning that was rapidly encircling it. Without a single movement, Alakazam sent the orb shooting forward, and as it gained speed, momentum, and closed the gap between it and the opposition, the orb grew. And it grew, and it grew.
Finally, it seemed to detonate, loosing a terrible fury of lightning and psychic energy upon both Scizor and Krystal.

Mike's pride took a step up. It wasn't every day an ancient and legendary mass murderer complimented you on your skill. "That's right, I'm cool." However, his confident streak descent into a nosedive when the Metagross' body started to glow. "Oh, you've got to be fu-" Before he could finish the sentence, Taffy exploded, sending out a massive shockwave that knocked the boy backward. Painfully.
Nitro didn't have the luxury of landing on his butt. If it was up to him, that would be the first place he'd land on. However, the massive detonation asked for a change of plans. As he was very close to the exploding Metagross, the attack hit him for maximum damage, causing him to crash and tumble harshly. Even though his health was at its peak mere seconds ago, the Charizard lay unconscious, unable to battle any longer.
"Agh!" The boy shouted. "You son of a b***h!" Mike felt like running over and pummeling the old fart to dust now, he really did. But such actions would probably mess something up, so instead, he decided to think of his next Pokemon he should release. After a moment or two of contemplation, he decided on who it would be.
Maybe this'll throw him for a loop. He said to himself, throwing out a Poke Ball.
As the device erupted in white light, Felsic stood in its place. Tall and menacing, he was far from the cute little Cyndaquil he started out from. The Pokemon roared, the fiery mane on his neck erupting.

Kilik felt his knees buckle to the explosion caused by the Metagross, falling to the ground, kneeling. He felt Nina grab his hand when Maorde had called for the attack. Gripping her hand, he pulled himself up. "Nina, move!" he barked. He ran with her as Scizor and Krystal's bodies flew towards them like ragdolls, both crashing into the dirt behind them. Kilik let Nina's hand go, spinning on his heel then quickly took her hand again. He looked around for a moment to see exactly where the pair of Pokemon had landed. He found Scizor laying facedown in the dirt, her body chipped and dented in places. She wasn't moving. Her left claw had also been cracked so badly that it may not ever be usable again.
Kilik nearly felt his heart crack at the sight of his Pokemon in such a condition. His hands were shaking, yet he tried to keep it under control. Biting his lip, hard, he lifted the Park Ball and recalled his fallen partner. He glanced over at Giovanni and Mike. Felsic was now standing tall and proud, and Giovanni had yet to release his next choice. Lifting up a Pokeball, Kilik looked at the Alakazam. "This is all I've got. Weezing doesn't have the defenses to take up a battle with that Alakazam. Ludicolo's not strong enough and Elekid's...well, he's still a baby. Lairon is too unpredictable and will probably do more harm then good." Maybe I...shouldn't have left Flareon behind. The image of the fox appeared in his mind. Letting Nina's hand go, he let the Pokeball fly.
The normally buzz-happy and spazzy Bahamut seemed to know the weight of the situation at hand. She emerged from the ball with a very determined expression. Her wings beat very fast, creating a loud buzzing noise. A small and slimy tongue licked her tiny fangs.
Giovanni looked to Mike then to Maorde. The man wanted to step forward and break him in half, much as he had done when they finally met face to face mere moments ago. Taking up another Pokeball, Giovanni said nothing as he let it go. From the light emerged a massive crab with one claw much larger than the other. Chunks were missing from its crown and enormous claw. "Kooookiiieee...." it growled, staring around at the Alakazam. Giovanni smirked darkly.

Looking around him, Maorde put his hands on his hips. "My, my!" he exclaimed, "I never thought I'd be backed into a situation such as this... perhaps I've underestimated the lot of you." He appeared ready to issue a command, but heard two cries of Pokemon from his immediate right; his Salamence and Steelix had fallen, losing to Whitnney's Miltank and Raimundo's Fearow; granted, the Pokemon looked well-worn from the battle. Cracking his neck, the man was visibly irritated, and he recalled the Pokemon. Looking toward the ground for a moment, he chuckled softly to himself, and bit his lip, kind of smiling. He looked back up, to see Nina recalling a fainted Krystal and sending out Anastasia, Sabrina's Jynx which she removed from Saffron's PC before taking off.
"Even my own daughter... tch. Well then, I have a proposition to make. We're all adults here, and the majority of us are intelligent." He cast a glance to Raimundo, who returned with a nasty glare. "Nina. Dear. Step forward, won't you?" "Why should I? I'm not that stupid, father. "Ooh, your words cut like a knife. You want your Pokemon back, do you not?" "I thought you stated that we were all intelligent adults here. You know the answer to that." "...Very funny. What if I were to offer you a trade? Your Pokemon-- Anna-- back, in exchange for my release?" "Ha, ha. You're going to give me back an Alakazam that has no memory of me? How naive do you think I am?" "I have the means of transforming her back into her previous state. If you capture her with a specialized Poke Ball that is in my possession, she'll revert to how she was before."
"That... sounds really great," she replied, "but I think I'll take my chances with this. Anastasia, Lovely Kiss! Put that thing to sleep and wreak havoc on it!" Truthfully, Nina did feel badly for calling Anna a 'thing,' but she got over it as the Lovely Kiss had surprisingly worked. Crossing her arms and stepping forward a bit, she grinned. "Doesn't matter how powerful your Alakazam is, Dad. Anastasia uses a couple physical attacks, and then you're down. I take my Pokemon back, release the ones you have with you, and everything's fine." With a grin, she ordered Anastasia to perform a Body Slam attack.
But, something went wrong. Anastasia was flung off to the side, being the subject of a Psychic attack. "What? What the hell?!" The girl exclaimed, looking to see that the Anna-Alakazam was very clearly asleep.
"I couldn't allow you to hurt him further, Nina."
Raimundo stood near an Alakazam he released from a Pokeball at his belt, arms crossed across his chest.

Kurine was again on the road, headed to Violet, an no longer making any detours! She wanted to train, but she also wanted to make it to Violet as soon as she could-she could tell the sun would be setting soon. She knew she wouldn't make it by dark, but she wanted to be as close as she could be. Nighttime wasn't one of her favorite times to be alone outside. Kurine sort of half ran and half jogged for a short while, then resumed a normal walking pace. As the sky darkened. the shadows thrown onto the ground in strange formations, and the clouds turning a pretty yet sickly purple-pink color, she released her Cyndaquil to keep her company. Cyndaquil obidiently stayed near her, walking at her side almost the whole time.
Once the sky was hardly lit, and stars were beginning to appear, Kurine said, "C'mon." to her little fire pokemon and turned into the woods. She made sure she was able to see the path, and then set her turquoise-colored backpack on the ground. She pulled out her sleeping bag, which was rolled tightly so it would be as small as it could go for easy packing, and a semi-small pillow type thing, and laid them out. After she had that set up, and made a little place for a fire, and soon bright, warm, and reasurring flames were twisting and crackling before her. She returned Cyndaquil to his pokeball, for fear of him wandering off and getting lost.

Nina Williams' blood ran cold. She slowly turned her head to the side, looking towards Raimundo as she saw Whitney, who was standing beside the boy, wearing a terrible expression of shock on her face. The girl was frozen for a moment, but after Raimundo glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, she dashed over toward Nina and the group at a breakneck speed, clinging to her sister.
This wasn't happening. It wasn't, it couldn't be. This was Raimundo, the boy who she'd been traveling with for quite an extended period of time. This was the boy that she was able to converse with and truly feel comfortable with. This was the boy she loved.
She was shuddering. Her mouth quaked, trying to form words, but nothing came. Nothing, that is, except, "...Why?"
Rai grinned. "Because. This man has timeless knowledge and experience that is truly unparalleled by any Gym Leader or member of the Elite Four that there is. He offered to help me, make me a better trainer... So, of course I accepted. The thing was, though, he wanted something in exchange-- he wanted me to draw out his daughter. So, it was fortunate for me I ran into you again. Since I knew I wouldn't be able to just follow you around, I made myself appealing to you. I played the part of a kind, caring, perfect boy that any girl would fall head over heels for. The worst part was actually feigning feelings for you and having to sit through all of your emotional bullcrap day in and day out."
By now, Nina was having difficulty standing. This wasn't happening, it wasn't! "That's impossible!" She mustered.
He laughed. "Not hardly! Why do you think that Maorde always just so happened to show up wherever we went? Why do you think that his appearence coincided with my own? Answer me that, Nina! Did you think it was all a string of coincidences?"
Stop. Please.
"There was one good thing I got to take away from my time spent with you, though." Reaching for his belt, Raimundo released four other Pokemon-- a Hypno, a Jynx, a Mr. Mime, and a Slowking. They were all Sabrina's Pokemon.
"What?!" she exclaimed. "How--?!"
"Simple, really. My Pokenav holds the appearance of a Pokenav, but it isn't really one. If I place a Pokeball on it, it is able to create an identical copy-- a clone-- of that Pokemon, with certain data extracted. I've got your father to thank for that technology." With a grin, he approached Maorde, his Pokemon following him. He jumped on Fearow, and helped the old man to do the same.
"Now, if you'll excuse us, we'll be off." As Maorde commanded the Anna-Alakzam --who was waking up already-- to perform another Psychic Maelstrom, Raimundo recalled his clones as the duo took flight, shooting off into the sky like a bullet.

The wild Geodude floated a few inches above the ground, watching the Oddish lazily. When it realized that the other pokemon had seemed to have a problem hitting the rock-type with it's attack, the rock with arms floated a few inches higher and then moved towards Oddish, gaining speed as it prepared for a Tackle attack.
The Geodude slammed into Oddish, full force, knocking the little purple grass-type pokemon right onto her back. The Geodude 'flew' back to it's previous spot and turned back around to face Oddish again.
"Odd!" Oddish cried as she hit the ground, her feet kicking the air as she struggled to get up. She finally succeded and hopped onto her feet, half glaring at the Geodude opposite her. Pikachu watched from his spot by Train's feet, unhappy at the fact that this Geodude was hurting their new teammate and was still acting lazy.
"Oddish, try to use Absorb again!" Train called to her pokemon, hoping the attack would work this time. She had leaned forward ever so slightly while watching.

M.A. inwardly retreated a bit from Bugsy's glare; after all, by personality and all, the girl was fairly timid (especially in these situations). Sure, she had random spurts of hidden anger that flared like wildfire, but right now. . . right now, although by human nature she could feel her defensiveness kicking in, she didn't have enough gunpowder to go off like she had the other day. Her temper was something like explosions; very rare and far between, perhaps, but they were certainly loud. Mood swings much?
"Ahhh. . . there was a reason."
Silence.
She could practically feel Bugsy's skeptic eyes bore a hole through her. Somewhere in time, she had forgotten to breathe, and upon her body reminding her that it needed its precious oxygen, she took in a shaky sip. There was something about this Gym Leader that just unnerved her, alright? Sure he was a few heads shorter. Just his scrutination made her nervous; she had gotten slightly more self-assured over the last week or so, but no miracles happened overnight -- she was still a pretty meek when pressured.
But right now, there was another matter that her discomfort was not helping. She didn't know if she wanted a Gym Battle like she had yesterday. Did she? Did she really want to become a trainer? Forget lack of self-confidence, her indecisiveness was the hot topic in her little brain center. She didn't want to become a coordinator like her brother. Or did she? Then there was training. Or breeding. Or. Gaaaah. She didn't know what she wanted at all. If she wanted to follow the path of a trainer, she'd want this battle, right?
Right?
The prospect of a challenge. She wanted that. And she knew Daemyn did too, from the way his little neck furs stood up and the way he began to squirm anxiously. Who said she had to decide on a career choice right now? Right now, she wanted this battle. And she wanted to win.
Maybe the answer took a while, and maybe it made her look retarded just standing there with her thoughts whirring a thousand miles an hour in her head like a freeway, but she had her the answer that was important at the minute and she was content with herself.
"Bugsy, I'd like to challenge you to a Gym Battle," she said at last, the shakiness suddenly gone now once her mind was set. Yeah, she was still nervous, but certainly not afraid of anything. Adrenaline from her jitteriness, her excitement and anxiety, began to show up and she felt realy ready to take this on.
". . . Ohh yeah, my name's Mary-Anne, from Fallorbor Town. And uh wait. Is it okay? You're pretty tired and your gym. . . " Just as fast as she'd floated away, she'd begun to deflate a bit as reality set in.

Kasiya couldn't help but giggle as Keegan stripped out of the heavier clothing, and she also couldn't help but watch him as he stuffed the clothing in his backpack. "That must feel better," she commented, feeling quite comfortable in the new climate thanks to her own summer-friendly attire. Not once had she forgotten that it was actually June, and soon to be July, and those months were always rather hot. Seeing that they were surrounded by the ocean, however, it was rather tempting to go for a nice, refreshing swim. Perhaps later they could all have a nice cooling, relaxing swim after all the training they planned to do.
Even though her Pokemon were already in good condition, Kasiya took the tray from Keegan and set her Pokemon in it one by one, smiling at each one. When she placed Levi's Pokeball, she frowned a bit, still feeling sad for Dante, although the feeling was minor when she compared it to the thought of helping little Levi grow strong and proud, like Dante had wanted. She wasn't sure if bringing the baby Mudkip into the Pokemon Mansion would be all right though, as she worried that the Pokemon hiding within the run-down building might be too much for her. But I don't want to send her to Professor Oak's so soon... hmmm.... As she watched the nurse take their Pokemon for treatment, she continued to wonder if she should keep Levi with her or make sure she stayed safe from harm at the laboratory.

Kurine soon drifted into sleep, as the fire's glow softened and the flames began to shrink as it's fuel was dissapearing.
--------------------
She woke slowly to the brightness of the sun shining down through the treetops. As she opened her eyes, she had to blink multiple times before she was accustomed to the light. She sat up and looked at the smoldering remains of the fire, and took out her water bottle, pouring some of it over the ashes to make sure it wouldn't re-light itself.
After rolling up her sleeping bag and cramming into her backpack, along with the pillowish thing, she unclipped Sentret and Cyndaquils' pokeballs from her belt. Kurine opened the pokebals and let the two pokemon out. They looked at her, then at each other, and then at the surrounding area. As she clipped the pokeballs back onto her belt, Kurine said, "C'mon, now." To both of them, and, slinging her backpack onto her shoulder, started walking back towrads the path, Cyndaquil walking along behind her.
Sentret was a bit hesitant, though, but finally trailed along after Cyndaquil.

Kasiya appeared to be lost in thought as she too gave her Pokemon to the nurse for treatment. Keegan didn't question it though, and for a moment he eyed the wicker chairs that were unoccupied. He decided against it though, and just stood beside Kasiya to wait for their Pokemon, unsure of what to say to her.
It didn't seem to matter where you went on this island, as every window seemed to have a full ocean view, as soon Keegan found himself staring off into the depths of blue water twinkling on the horizon. He began to ponder the idea of a swim himself, even though the most water he ever liked to be around was coming from a shower head, safe and sound indoors on dry land. However, the prospect of swimming with his best friends, his Pokemon, and the girl he deeply adored seemed well worth facing any amount of water at this moment in time.
The lack of people within the Pokemon Center meant that their Pokemon had been prioritized, and within a few moments the two trays were returned to them. Keegan placed each Pokeball back in its proper place, already imagining how nice it would feel to once again be clipping Helios's Pokeball onto the strap he wore around his waist. He missed the Vulpix dearly, yes, but he would wait, knowing very well that he'd storm Sheridan's home if she so much as thought about reneging on their agreement.

That sense of completeness overcame Kasiya as she put her Pokemon back in their places. It always felt right to have them right there, and at full health too. She rubbed her hands together, quite anxious to get going. "Shall we be off then?" she asked, remembering that they both had Acro Bikes. "We could use our bikes," she added, scuffing the floor with her shoe. "I bet Cinnabar is a nice place to tour by bicycle." The boys Keegan had spotted earlier with the surf boards were now heading out, and she watched them disappear out the door and down the road, heading for the ocean. The thought of surfing like that terrified her, as it was nothing she'd ever want to do in a million years.
She beckoned Keegan to follow, and she stepped outside, fully enjoying the cool breeze that drifted over the island. Once again she thought about swimming, and how nice the water would feel on their skin afterwards, when they were all hot and sweaty from training with their Pokemon. The last time she'd been swimming had been at Misty's gym, before she challenged the leader to a battle. She remembered that Nina and her Pokemon had been there, and it all seemed so long ago. She smiled at the thought of her blue-haired friend, and wondered what she was up to at the moment.

Oddish concentrated on using a successful Absorb attack. She closed her eyes, the opened the again, looking at the Geodude opposite her yet again. The Geodude began to glow faintly of green, and a suprised look came over it's face as it felt the energy being drained from it.
Train couldn't help grinning as the Geodude sank to the ground, severly weakened by the supereffective attack. It had no energy left to preform an attack of it's own, so Train decided the battle would end there. She ran over to her Oddish, but slowed to a walk when the little pokemon looked scared and started backing away. Train crouched down, and, still grinning, said, "You did it! You've won your first pokemon battle as my pokemon!" Train reached out her hand to try and pat the little Oddish kindly, but the pokemon backed away again, so Train retreated her hand, and returned Oddish to her pokeball.
Train stood up and motioned for Pikachu to follow her as she turned and started walking back to the entrance of the cave, wanting to go back to Pewter now.
And she had just one thought on her mind;
Brock sure had it coming now.
