"Well, I prefer the light and clear, rather than the dark and dreary." She gave him an amused look, to show him she was only kidding.
She opened up the blanket and threw it over him.
"You should rest. . .you've lost to much blood, I'm surprized your even still concious." She sat down next to his torso and looked up as well. "Why did you want to die?" she asked quietly, softly as though wondering if it was too personal a question to ask.

Irvine placed his hands behind his head and smile when she placed the blanket on him. He continued looking upwards. After she asked him the question, he looked as if he were trying to think.
"I wanted to die because...I have nothing to live for...and it felt like all the pain I'd ever felt in my entire life was welling up inside my soul. I felt like I was going to explode with pain and agony. Those are the main reasons why I wanted to die. As for me being conscious. It's all gotta do with me being half-demoninc vampire and half-were-wolf."

". . .but you didn't die, you came back." She seemed unenerved by what he confessed he was. She seemed a bit happy and smiled. It had been awhile since she had met another half and half.
She looked to the stars as though they would provide an answer, but found none. She thought of a time when she was left for dead and no one came to be with her.

Kuro waited for some sort of addition from him. When he didn't speak she looked over at him. He looked asleep so she decided not to disturb him any longer.
She glanced at the blanket covering him and wondered if it would be appropriate to share or not. Deciding that it would be fine she laid back and settled beside him, less than half a foot away.
She closed her eyes and started to drift, unconciously rolling to face him. She slept soundly beside him.
OOC: Sorry! I gtg! I neeeeeed sleep! ^^'

Irvine awoke next to Kuro. He was slightly surprised to see her there but there was a slight twinkle in his eye that made him happy she had been. He smiled as he remember the past night and their chat. He ran the back of his hand down the side of her cheek and then sat up. He blinked his eyes and slowly got to his feet. He was well rested but was still weakened from blood loss. Once he fed he'd be alot better. He covered her up with the rest of the blanket she had covered him with. Then he turned and walked out into the forest. He hopped into a tree then began leaping from tree to tree like a cat. It didn't take him long before he came upon a deer feasting upon a small meadow. He silently leapt to a tree behind the deer. Then he jumped down behind the animal and grabbed it by it's antlers. Just as it started to run, Irvine threw the buck to the ground and broke it's neck. The deer went limp in his arms. He then bent down and bit deep into the neck of the animal. He drank and drank until his heart was content. When he was finished he lickedh is lips and let the corpse fall to the ground.
"Mmmm, been awhile since I've had deer. Much like human...though I think I prefer human blood...."
Irvine turned and walked back to the meadow he and Kuro had been in. As he re-entered the meadow he watched her as she sleapt. He walked over to a tree directly across from where she sleapt and sat beneath it. He continued to watch her.

Kuro woke, feeling warm and refreshed. She let loose a yawn, stretching, then clearing the sleep from her eyes.
She smiled when she saw Irvine watching her, then moved to fold up the blanket.
"Well I see your feeling better." She caught the faint scent of deer blood. "I also see that you've eaten." She gathered the blanket in her arms and placed it back inside her traveling pack, a few feet from where he was sitting.

"Yes I am and I have. Also a good "morning" to you. Sleep well?"
He asked her smiling as he continued to sit while she packed the blanket. He rolled his neck around and a soft cracking sound was heard. He then did his shoulders and eventually his knuckles. He put his hands behind his head and leaned back against it. Irvine looked up at the sky through the branches.
"I think you asked me a question just as I fell asleep the other night. Sorry for that. Uh, is there somthing you wanted to know?"

Kuro glanced at him, then returned to packing the small bag. She gave of an amused smile.
"I did sleep well, for the first time in a long time." Her eyes seemed to glaze as though thinking of a long forgotten memory. She shook herself out of it.
"I asked you, well not exactly asked you, but why come back, if you were so intent on dying?" She whispered softly. She moved to sit down beside him, her shoulder brushing against his side accidently. "I mean, dying is easy, coming back is the hard part." She smiled.

Irvine hardly noticed the brush. Though he did notice it. He continued staring up at her. For a few minutes there was silence. Then Irvine looked down and then back at her. His golden and silver eyes looked far off and distant. He sighed and then spoke.
"I saw her...My mother...I saw what was happening to her in hell...I saw how she was treated...and I remembered what happaned and how I came here...It was then that I was suddenly jolted back to my senses and came back "alive". Thats basically what happened."
Irvine shrugged. He continued to look off with a distant look. Irvine shook it off and turned towards her. He gave her a smirk and then leaned hsi head back against the tree.

Kuro cocked her head to side and returned his smirk with a soft smile. There was something about this Irvine that made her feel unusually happy. She looked out over the clearing, her eyes warm and bright.
She let her thoughts drift for a moment as though trying to collect what to say to him. Finally she spoke.
"She is happy knowing that you are alive. I know my mother is for me. She fell in love with my father when she was 18. She was Elven and he. . .well. .he was a wolf-demon." She blinked and looked to the sky. "I was born about 2 years after they had fallen for one another. They ran from their homelands to save me." She smiled sadly. "One day, we were found out. My father was slain first and then my mother. . .my mother died protecting me. I was only 8 years old. I've been on my own ever since, their memory keeps me alive." She looked to him. "A parent's bond with a child is unbreakable."
She turned away from him.
"So, what will you do now?" She asked. "Now that you haven't gave yourself to the darkness."

"Well I will first help Xol destroy Mastema...after which I'm not sure what I'll do."
Irvine was surprised to hear a tale quite like his own. There were similarities and yet there were differences. For the fact that she knew her mother and both her parents were dead. Irvine had never gotten to know his mother and when she died and Irvine came back, his father disowned him for turning to the darkness. Irvine closed his eyes.
"So Kuro...why have you come here? Any particular reason?"

Kuro growled at the sound of Mastema's name. She had the pleasure of fighting him at one point. Then she heard the other question and tensed up.
Her eyes narrowed slightly and her eyebrows turned upward, thinking of why she came to be here.
"I'm running." She whispered, almost in shame. "I avenged my mate's death." She felt the tears come to her eyes, but wiped them away quickly, she was too strong to cry. "Now his father wants revenge on me."
She sighed and winced with emotional pain, it was hard to remember the same situation over and over again.

Irvine saw as she tensed up and then replied with a slight sob. He saw the silent tears roll down her face and then watched as her hand wiped it away. Irvine felt sorry for her and put a comforting arm around Kuro's shoulders. He brought her close to him. He too knew what it felt like to lose someone you held very close to you. He knew all to well.
"I'm sorry about your mate...I shouldn't have brought it up..."

Kuro was grateful to have someone close to be held by. She had no comfort when Obake was taken from her. She slowly reached up to her neck as though hoping suddenly that the mark he had placed on her had returned.
Like so many other times she was not reward with the slight indention of a puncture wound, just smooth skin. She sighed and composed herself.
"Thankyou, I am fine now. You did not know, you are not at fault so don't be sorry." She stayed where she was not seeming uncomfortable. For some reason she felt drained and was now disgusted with herself for feeling so lazy.
She closed her eyes, using sleep to escape the nightmares of the day.
OOC: Sorry! Gotta go! I've got to get some sleep, or else I'll be a walking Zombie by tomorrow. sweatdrop Night!

OOC:Night, night. ^_^
Irvine held Kuro until he felt her body relax. He knew she had fallen asleep and turned her over so she was facing him. He then slipped his hands under her knees and lifted her up. He carried her to the center of the meadow and laid her down. He then took out the blanket from the backpack and spread it over her. He leaned over her and kissed her forehead. Then standing up, he turned to leave. But just as he did he dropped two things. A white rose and a black lily. They landed beside her. Then with that he left the clearing.
"Sleep well..."
