"That I disagree with. You are not responsible for that man's actions at all. How will this Slasher fool ever learn the life lessons he needs to know to stop this foolish, homicidal behavior?! Who will he go after next? Your own family? Have you a wife and children? Go ahead and lie to me saying that you'd protect him over them!" he said angrily, narrowing his eyes. Ali was being a fool and he would not let this night go without pointing this out. No, he was not out for a fight nor to berate the man, just helping him see reason.

That's different, if anyone attacks my family then they're dead no matter who they are. Ziven..isn't technically family and therefor it is different. It is a complicated matter. My most loyal friends are people that kill for profit, rape and goes against the laws and order. It's what I've grown up with and what I'm farmiliar with. If "Slasher" ever straightens up is none of my concern, in time he'll be killed or captured if he continues his ways. I won't reveal his location but I won't protect him if he's attacked either, I know for a fact the GPD knows of his whereabouts and are right on his tail for several murders. He'll be behind bars and getting it from behind by a much larger prisoner. However I provoked him, he killed Ziven because of that and therefor I am responsible in that chain of events and that in turn gives me a responsibility to make sure s**t don't hit the fan.* Ali narrowed his eyes at them both, foolish or not this was the ideal plan. Sometimes you needed to do things you didn't like to make sure others were okay.*

"Very well. But please .. explain what happened, I would like to know for my own piece of mind." he said softly, his expression changing drastically. This question, now, was the question of a father simply wanting closure for his own daughter's death.

"Slasher" snapped her neck and ran, I doubt she felt anything and died instantly. * Ali watched him and then Feldspar, letting out a slight sigh afterwards.* I need both of you to act as if I am her killer, if you show that you believe I did it then the rest should follow like sheeps to the same conclusion.

Brom actually smiled and laughed a bit. "My apologies, friend. I have both seen and administered the same technique on more than I'd like to admit in battle. Did this Slasher fellow go after for shits and giggles? Or was there something else? Had he even interacted with Ziven prior to that moment, is the answer I seek, friend."

He tried to charm her, I told her who he was and she sent him flying across the room* Ali smiled a little at the thought of Ziven hitting "Slasher" like that, eventually frowning again.*

"That's my Ziven, won't let anyone push her around anymore. Eh .. wouldn't allow anyone, that is." he finished with a bit of a frown, feeling foolish for having forgotten already. Turning away from Ali, he took a few steps toward Feldspar as she took a few steps near to him. They both had a rather somber, serious expression on their faces. They did not touch but it was not a stretch of the imagination to know that they were comforting each other.
Standing, he nodded towards Ali, not bothering to introduce himself in this moment, but acknowledging his presence. Moving over to Brom, he rested a hand on his shoulder. "One step at a time, son. You've hardly had time to absorb what's happened let alone try to grieve."

"Yes, yes. It's time for rest now. Everyone is welcome to find an open room to rest in or stay here in the living room, it matters not to me, but you're all welcome If you wish to leave .. feel free also." he said with a nod, waving his hand in a half salute motion. "Good night." he said, trying to put on a happy face, despite still feeling completely empty inside at this moment. Feldspar followed Brom upstairs for rest, Eragon decided to remain downstairs to keep an eye on things with the door being busted open still.
(Ooc: Sorry for scooting things along a bit. Will leave things open some so everyone can make their own minds about where they went.
The posts previous to this OOC message are the day of Ziven's death.
The posts after this OOC post are considered to be two days after. )

Appearing after the events had transpired and he'd had time to calm down and think things through the dark form of Yawgmoth made its way into the world once again. The space in front of her horse distorted, just outside the barrier that prevented him from just, entering the house via that method. In his arms held very carefully was Ziven's corpse. Looking as it did the day she was killed. The void had seen to that. Yawgmoth decided to get the attention of Brom and Feldspar by doing the only thing he was good at. Showing off. Walking forward his enormous power started to seep out of him and into the very fibers of the air. Normally he felt empty, dead, when he was at full power to conceal the great depths. But now he was as visible and as able to be detected as a bright red sun in the sky. Finally he spoke loudly. "Come forth. I bear a gift. A gift that is rightfully yours." he shouted to ensure someone would answer. Hopefully the right someone.

Brom soon appeared from the living room. The front door was off the hinge, Brom had been in the process of repairing the damage. When he saw the pair, he half smiled. It was glorious and painful to see Yawgmoth carrying Ziven, bringing her back to him. Nodding, he took a few steps closer, waving a hand, offering him to enter. "Care to sit for a while?" he asked softly, wanting both to open the dialogue with him and wanting to be a source of kind company for the man if he were looking for it.

"Not yet" he replied in a solemn voice. "First. You need to take her. Do with her body what you as her father wanted. I had no right to steal her in my hatred of the world." he said walking as close to Brom as one could get extending his powerful arms outward to rightfully give Ziven's body to her father like it should've been from the get go. "Hopefully she'll be happy. Both with you and in knowing we've only attacked, not killed anyone. Yet. Her murderer will still pay. Nothing will change that. I even know who it is. And it's unfortunate news to find out." he continued seething in hatred just from thinking about it. Though he seemed to calm slowly, taking refuge in what he was going to do to them. To Aliator.

His smile faltered slightly as he fought back the strong waves of emotions from seeing her. Gratefully taking her in his arms, he held her close, just staring at her for a moment before kissing her forehead. How very cold her skin was, though it wasn't a surprise. "Please come, sit a while, if you care to, friend." he said softly, not taking his eyes from her as he carefully turned, returning to the house slowly, carefully watching her with every step, talking to her softly as if she were unharmed. Once inside, Feldspar was there, grabbing a blanket and resting it on the floor near the fireplace. Gently Brom set her on the blanket, even grabbing a pillow to support her head. Once satisfied that her body was settled appropriately, he and Feldspar both stood and walked together to face Yawg again. "Thank you." they said in unison, deeply appreciating that he returned her to them.

Yawgmoth followed them in not wishing to be rude and decline their invitation. Plus, he had some things to discuss with Brom anyway. The pale white eyes on his face were somber and empty as they starred at her lifeless body. Returning his gaze to Brom he simply nodded. "No need. It should've been like this to begin with. I know that now." he replied taking a seat. "To believe, that she's gone now causes me many things I can't even begin to sort out. You see, there's a story between myself and that girl there. I'm not sure how much of me she told you of aside from what you gathered during our chance meetings." Yawgmoth started.
"I was the first sentient creature she ran into upon coming here. Bad luck I'd normally say, we're not the type you want to be around alone usually. I made my intentions with her clear from day one and it was much of a rush type thing. As time went on it became an obsession of mine. Like a mountain I had to climb. After I taught her a few tricks the two of us started to..tolerate each other more. She was comfortable being around me with people around and could tolerate my attitude." he said kind of smirking just thinking how many times she'd stood up to his bullying.
"This continued for awhile, slowly the two of us grew closer. She could be around me alone. Unafraid because she knew, how I still don't know, but she knew I wouldn't hurt her or make good on my empty threat. Though for the past month things have been wonderful. I actually started liking to be around her too...it was very confusing. Ironic, that I was vulnerable around another individual and she gets herself killed. That's...mostly what caused me to fly off the handle so fast. I think, I may have started to have actual feelings for her, beyond my inhuman lust. Something I've only done a few times in the past." he continued moving his eyes over to her and then over to Brom. "I would've even pleaded for your approval had she asked me to get it." he started to laugh at the thought though it was clear it wasn't the most cheerful laugh. Looking down to the floor he wiped his eyes clear and slammed his hands into the ground denting her floor. "I should've went with her...instead of sitting in the bar waiting. I could've stopped Aliator from killing her."

"She was ambushed .. if you had been there with her the other day, she wouldn't have been ambushed, this I don't doubt. However .. it only would have been postponed. The ambush still would have occurred, I believe this completely. I have found out now that there was something she did that caused someone to find her to seek revenge. It wasn't your battle." he said with a nod, sighing softly. Feldspar moved closer to him. "Your history with her .. I didn't hear it that way. She has always .. always described you as the most interesting creature she's ever met in her entire life. She wanted to know you as much as possible because there's very few people she's ever been so curious about, even fewer that she's been able to gain any answers from. You've been an amazing part of her life." he said with a bit of a smile, bobbing his head, genuinely meaning what he said.
Though there was no indication of anything having changed, being out of the void was just about the best thing that could have happened. Despite her bodily functions not being in motion, there were many more resources for her body to draw from, much more life to aid in the healing process.

"Still...wait" he said pausing hearing him say something about her doing something that caused them to seek revenge. "What could she possibly have done to Aliator to make him seek that kind of retribution!? He said he killed her because she was annoying. Not because he owed her death by vengeance. What do you know different?" the dark king said with a deep growl in his voice. Dammit. If it wasn't Aliator then who was it? It had to have been Seisuke then. Her going with Yawgmoth had to cause him to seek revenge right. It sounded like Brom knew what or who had done the deed. He would wait to hear what he had to say. "Tell me, tell me what you know. The only person who has to pay is the guilty one. If I don't know, more people are going to pay until I find out who the guilty one is or kill them in the fray of butchering populations." he demanded. At least she spoke sort of fondly of him to Brom though. She was much like a kitten in that aspect. Was it that same curiosity that got her killed? He had to know that before anything.
