On a side note--

Any ideas of designs for swords?

Depends on the kind of sword you wanna use...

*shrug* Same thing that's always up, yar? Useless chatter between combat posts.

Meanwhile, I'm debating as to why I bother building focal characters. So many people build wide-spectrum characters with no deficit in strength, yet here I sit making my char's single-element for the power bonus that should come from said focus....

Tell me about it. The guy I'm facing seems utterly fueled with fire, and I'm looking as how to stomp that fire out...x_x;

Characters with limits are good, because it provides slight realism and at least decency for the opponent. Unlike those that have - technically - trained themselves to wear five ton armour....right. *shrug*

Let's say the design is to upgrade the ability of a katana. Fast, agile, and also able to counter the problem of distance in the meantime.

There's alot about the way people build characters that I don't get. I've already been berated for one of my views, which is that character's shouldn't be built at full strength, they should grow to full strength...

And, like I said, where' s the fun in being able to do everything? that's like playing a video game with all the cheat-codes...it defeats the purpose of playing in the first place.

Grins.

Not if someone with a bigger sword can swing it as fast as you...

8-Ball's characters, well, atleast one, seem to have a limitless amount of energy.

The ones that shrug a lethal slash off like a bug, and I concur with your viewpoint. My character is literally inexperienced in his abilities due to age and years of training, therefore, the reason of why it resorts to common physical combat in the first place. Unlike those that teleport themselves in, create angels out of nowhere, or any of that sort, a character should have to suffer at times defeat and grow stronger the next time, don't you think?

To take the short way and get what you want, or the long way which is earned through hard effort and learning? Alas, many people these days prefer the short route to glory.

Ganato Jin-Mesa is the one that prompted me to voice said opinions.

Then in the end it just depends on length, and the character can simply argue that they trained with that weight to fight as fast as a standard katana. I initially thought of gunblades to counter the effect, but with yesterdays high criticism about its problems....well, I still think its more on battle situations.

My energy lifts my nodachi for me, that's why I can swing it around so effortlessly o:

@nightsnow: Its mainly the environment; the FFA doesn't really allow for in-depth character building roleplays. I know, I tried...people don't want to try to use limited abilities creatively, so they put everything into the game at once.
