The zombified doctor slammed straight into Jun, gnawing and biting (or attempting to). The blast has passed right through the corpse, leaving a big, daunting hole. A train had just slammed into Jun (well, slowed by the blast) with teeth seeking to rip and rend flesh.
Vincent pushed off of the wall and began walking in the same direction. Toward the incapacitated, paralyzed Kate.

"Sorry doc, but im gonna need this!" Jun said holding the head as far away as possible as he shot a blast through the neck, decapitating the doctor and throwing the head at Vincent to draw his attention from Kate. "Hey psycho, catch!"

The body of the doctor failed to cease attempting to choke or kill Jun somehow. And it was just as strong as Vincent.
Vincent dodged the head without even taking his eyes from Kate, who was still too terrified by the zombie-type thing to even notice his approach.
The smell... it was something about the smell. No other humans were appearing, to help or to call for aid, for some reason, and the smell was everywhere....
The hospital had a morgue. More zombified figures began appearing by the stairway. Behind Kate and Jun. They were from the morgue. They would overpower Jun easily.

"I. F***ing. Hate. ZOMBIES!!" Jun said angrily as he resorted to blasting the bodies apart so they couldnt function as he made his way to Kate and Vincent. except for maybe the hands crawling around, but that was it.

The 'zombies' didn't seem interested in Vincent at all. He strode right through them, straight to Kate, and held her up off the ground by her throat, using one hand. He was still somewhat weak from the fragmentation grenade used against him earlier by Travis. But this power still worked nicely. A power only a true mythling, born that way, could use.
Kate's illusion of being paralyzed with fear was now shattered. She was not scared beyond belief (well actually she was), but paralyzed by something else. The smell. That was why no other live humans were moving about, screaming, or otherwise being realistic. They were all frozen by that ghastly, blood smell.

Natsumi placed the pillows down on the blankets. She looked over at Sayuri and asked, "Any idea what time it is?"

((You know, I suppose, if you all want to time-skip, we could say that Kate did not recover until the morning, so that all of this zombie business didn't happen until daylight outside once again.

"Put. Her. DOWN!!" Jun practically blew a gasket as he blasted on through the zombies, focusing on the ones holding Kate before taking of the rest of them.
