"Kisa," Hope said and went over to her. She could see that she wasn't doing so good, so she lifted her up and moved to carry her upstairs.
Faith made sure their dad was okay.

Kisa was limp in her arms. The pendant felt so heavy around her neck...

Hope brought Kisa up to Jake. "I think Mion's out," she said to him and laid her on the floor. She pulled the pendant off of her.

"Good, I'm glad," Jake said. "Will she be alright?"
Kisa whimpered when she felt the pendant lift off her chest.

"I don't know," Hope replied, putting the pendant down.

Kisa lay there unconscious.
"I hope so," Jake said. "I'm glad Mion's gone." He put his hand on Kisa's forehead to see what he could do.

Hope nodded and then stood up. "I'm going to find Shane," she said and walked towards the door.
Faith walked up in time to see Hope leaving.

Jake knew he couldn't do anything for Kisa and sat back away from her.
Shane was still up in the tree, not moving, just watching the forest.

Hope watched out, knowing which direction he had gone. She looked up and saw him in the tree. She leaned against it where he couldn't see her. "I thought you might want to know that Mion's out of Kisa," she said, a little bitterly.
Faith sat down by Jake and hugged his arm.

"Great," Shane replied coldly. "Why'd you come? You know what, don't answer that." He leapt to another tree and intended to keep going.
Jake gently hugged Faith. "How's your father?" he asked.

"I thought you might care about how your sister is doing," Hope called after him. "And I think she still needs help."
"Tired, but he'll be recovered by tomorrow," Faith replied, leaning her head against his chest.

"I think Jake can handle that," Shane said coldly. "You and your sister made it quite clear I'm not welcome there."
Jake nodded a little.

"And you're going to let that stop you from helping Kisa?" Hope demanded. "You're worse than I thought!" Then she began to walk back towards the house.
Faith sighed. "I'm worried about Hope," she said.

"Hmph," Shane said. He leapt down from the top of the tree to land lightly on the ground. He started walking towards the house.
"She'll be fine," Jake reassured her.
