Walking away from the school grounds, Mack notices the huge forest. "Woah, that place is huge!" he says to himself. He follows the path that leads into the forest. "I heard there was a lake in the middle of this forest...That seems like a great place to go." He stops right before entering the forest. "Well, here goes nothing," he mutters, and steps into the forest.

By following the path, Mack soon learns that he will never find the lake. He breaks away from the path and begins to walk towards, what looks like, the middle of the forest. He begins to hum to himself as he walks. He looks behind himself, occasionaly, to assure himself that no one is following him. He climbs one of the trees and begins to jump from tree to tree.

Mergex stood in a part of the forest. He was still angry over his defeat at Gordon's hand. He grasped the bark of a tree and dugg his nails deep inside it as his anger builded up. " He will pay...I will get my revenge..." he said as his nails dug deeperinto the tree. Behind him he heard someone enter. A young man appeared.
" Excuse me sir are you ok?" he asked. Mergex ripped his claws out. He smiled showing his fangs. He would embrace the fine cusiene of human flesh. His father sometimes feasted on it and he had always wanted to try it. Mergex threw two dagger at the young man's feet. It went through his shoes and pinned him to the ground. The man screamed loudly as Mergex lunged upon him.

Karin entered the forest, glancing around for a moment to make sure she was alone, before moving in further. She sighed, tail wrapped around her waist and arms crossed over her chest, almost like she was hugging herself. The little water butterfly was following obediently after her as she trudged forward. She finally paused at the base of an especially large tree and gazed up at it for a moment before hopping into the lower branches. There she sat, still holding her arms as her legs dangled lazily over the branch, one on each side. The butterfly hovered around her head now and she smiled faintly at it. "I missed Kana's birthday," she said suddenly, the thought just occurring. "It's her first birthday all alone... I hope she found someone to celebrate it with her..." She sighed again, bowing her head and closing her eyes for a moment as she leaned her back against the tree's trunk.

Suka had lost control half-way through the flight in pursuit of a safe place to deal with his problem. That cost him quite a bit of distance and in-fact landed him in this very forest…He’d not regained control quite yet but given more time he would probably be able to work something out soon. Suka now was more Blood Demon then anything else and it showed…Suka moved differently, spoke in a raspier voice, and the irises of his eyes were now completely filled with blood. Odd markings covered his entire body and his teeth were sharper then before if at all possible. Hearing the words spoken from Karin a somewhat mile and a half from where he stood, he darted off in her direction. IN this condition he was faster then normal and it took him less than maybe a minute or two it make it to where she was. Blood Demons are horrible at being stealthy and so Blood Demon Suka never hid or kept quiet when around another. When he reached her he finally came to a stop by kicking off of three or four of the trees that surrounded Karin, the result being large cracks in the trunks of the trees followed by thunderous noises. He came to a skidding stop in front of her and looked at her with an evil smirk. “Your voice sounds familiar…why?” the Blood Demon form of Suka did not remember her at all from before.

Karin's head suddenly jerked up as her ears perked straight. She looked around wildly, almost instinctively grabbing the water butterfly in her hands and holding it to her chest. She watched through widened eyes as the trees surrounding her cracked loudly and then leapt to her feet, balancing nimbly on the branch. She set one hand against the trunk for extra balance, just in case, and then stared down in shock towards Suka. Though, he was definintely different. At his words, her ears drooped suddenly, and her tail fell limp behind her as well. She saw his expression and bit her lip, crouching down on the branch she was just standing upon. "So you don't... remember me then?" she asked faintly. She knew Suka had told her the blood demon would take control, and it looked like it had, but she didn't expect him to forget about her. She suddenly felt ready to burst into tears. She'd been holding them back since he'd left though, and she forced them back for now as well.

"Apparently not..." the Blood Demon said and then without haste jumped toward antoher tree, kicking off of it and cracking it aswell, a smaller crack with a noise following after that was lower in volume then the others had been. He ended up on one knee in a branch not far from hers and loooked down at her from it. "Should I? Are you of any significance to me, or would talking to you be a waste of my time?" He asked this and continued to stare down at her with the same expression on. Suka would have rolled his eyes at the creature had all emotions not been stripped from him. The Blood Demon obviously had harmful intentions and if he did not see the opportunity to have some fun with her he probably would have cut straight to the killing...'twould be the third thing he'd killed in Suka's body...He noticed hthe change in expression and saw that he might evenbe able to feed off of her blood while dealing emotional pain aswell. He was going to find out more about her first though...

Karin watched him, eyes following as he jumped off another tree and then landed nearby. She shifted to face him, one hand still on the tree trunk for balance as she crouched upon the branch. She stared at him for a long while, and then slowly opened her mouth to answer. "You're of significance to me," she finally replied, tilting her head. "So I wouldn't consider it a waste of time." She opened her hand and the water butterfly she'd trapped inside darted out and continued flying around her head in endless circles. Karin remained watching Suka. She was trying to think of a way to maybe make him recall her, but she couldn't think of any. She was also nervous about moving too close. She could tell from his face he had the intent of causing harm. She'd seen that expression many times before. Her ears flattened back but she continued watching him with an almost blank, or dull look on her face, though her eyes shone full of sadness and her tail still hung limp.

"Well...if I'm of significance to you then I guess you might be of significance to me..." He felt something grow tight in his pants as he changed position and he got an irritated expression on his face. This didn't last more then a few moments before every single dagger hidden in the pants was lifted from the pockets they were in and dropped onto the ground...the daggers all hit the ground with their blades inward. Once he'd done this he looked down at her again the irritation gone andthe amusement returning. If he could only figure out the best way to do what he was trying to do then the Blood Demon would have more time to waste elsewhere before Suka found what he was looking for. His eyes flickered a bit in the light that made it's way through the branches. He raised a hane but only rested it on the trunk and the ncontinued. "Why am I significant to you? Why would conversing with me not be a waste of your time?" The more he knew the better he'd be at executing an emotional attack...though none of these intentions showed quite clearly enough for just anyone to recognize.

Karin stared at him for a moment, keeping completely silent. Then her head tilted and she blinked at him a couple times. It didn't look like it, but she was really keeping tears from falling. She crossed her arms over her chest and glanced down as she saw all the daggers fall out. Her eyes widened slightly, as she hadn't known Suka to carry more than one or two. She looked back at him quickly, wondering why he'd done that, or if there was even a point to it. But she didn't ask. She was determined to stay calm and not let on of her fear and anxiousness she felt right now. She uncrossed her arms and casually slipped them back into her pockets, fingers automatically beginning to play with the X that was still within. "Because," she said simply. "You're my first friend here, the first person I spoke to after arriving. Actually, you're the one who approached me." Then she fell silent again, waiting for a response. She looked completely relaxed, but she was actually extremely tensed, ready to spring away at any second, or turn her water butterfly into an attack.

The Blood Demon did not feel like onversing anymore so he shrugged a bit and jumped off of the branch he was on and onto another a little farther away. He pushed off of it before he'd even really got his balance on it and headed straight at an angle past her to the ground. The second he was withing a foot from hr on his way to his landing he remembered the sharp objects he'd removed from his pants and had all of them shoot out from the ground and head for where he was...where she was aswell. He landed and that's when they started to hit the branch and trunk...at this point the maximum dealt from the blades was probably going to be justa cut or two on her arms unless she moved. The Blood Demon watched carefully...his movements hadn't taken but a second or two before the blades started shooting and by now he was pretty sure that she could not have guessed that he'd attack her in so little of time. There was no time for preparation to dodge before they started shooting up so he naturally hoped that she'd move and get hit directly by one of them..."..." through all of theis time though the Blood Demon kept quiet...watching and waiting for the daggers to stop flying and the damage to show clear.

Karin watched him carefully, shifting slightly on the branch. She was a bit disappointed he didn't reply. She had been thinking maybe she could keep talking and get him to remember something, but that didn't seem to be the case. Her eyes narrowed as he leapt away and a second later her ears twitched, hearing the sound of the daggers flying towards her. She leapt back, legs already having been tensed, though not in time to entirely avoid them. One managed to graze her left arm, but she bit her tongue so she wouldn't cry out. It didn't hurt, so it would have been an involuntary cry, more out of surprise than anything. But she silently retreated several branches higher into the tree, the water butterfly following after her. Then she crouched on the branch again, hand clamped over her left arm where it'd been cut. She was watching him again, eyes narrowed as she did and ears flattened back threateningly. She didn't understand how he'd forgotten so completely about her... She bit her lip, keeping back a whimper as she maintained the cold expression. She didn't want to let on how nervous she really was.

The Blood Demon watched as the daggers stopped midair and dropped back into the ground the way that they had been, he'd succeeded n what he was trying to do and that was just to draw first blood...the Blood Demon leapt onto the branch she was on before and kicked off of it cracking it silently and kiciking off of others afterward to make his way to where she was at the moment. He saw her new expression but did not mind it he wanted to make it to where she could not cover her wounds with just a hand or two...four or five cuts would help with that. It was either that or one large one and he didn't feel like wasting that much energy...for now he wasn't planning on killing the girl. The Blood Demon didn't stop until he was on the branch she was on and on his way from the lower branch to the designated branch he drew his claws from his sides and stopped himself dead in front of her quickly attempting to draw more blood with a swift slash at her upper arm before kicking off of the branch and onto one on a tree beside this one. The way she moved earlier was pretty swift and though the blood Demon was quick in movement trees for this particular body were not the best terrain to be doing things such as this. The Blood Demon kept steady on the branch he now stood and watched her close to see what all had happened, for a Blood Demon's vision is bad...only when there is blood filling their eyes though...as was with this one. Four seconds had gone by just now.

Karin watched him closely, still keeping the appearance of calmness. She saw him leap where she'd just been, and then approach where she currently was. As he landed before her, she pressed her back to the trunk behind her, trying to put at much distance between them as possible. This was just like home, with all the bullies of usual, except he was stronger than them. Her eyes widened slightly as he lashed out with his claws, and she closed her eyes to brace for impact, but the water butterfly seemed to act on it's own. It instantly increased in size to about half a foot in height, and then slammed itself into his hand, enough to knock it off course and let Karin escape and retreat up several branches higher again. Once settled again, she didn't crouch, but instead remained standing and alert. She didn't know his full intentions, but it was obvious he wanted her hurt. She just didn't know if he intended to kill her or not. She glared at him for a moment and then decided to speak. "Why are you doing this?" she hissed, voice angry. "You really don't remember me at all?"
