Heh - most of em would just pay good money for some air time, even without the action.
How big is your team, and can you get me a more specific drop zone prior to flight? The Korean/Chinese border is more than a mile long ya know, and if Im goign to do this someone is going to want some exact-ISH co-ords for the op. Especially if the plane goes down. I can get you clearanc,e but I need more intel, Leuitenant. Even if we DONT get to go and play with you.
*The whiskey was knocked back in one, then he was back to his tea like he'd never broken form it*

I understand completely, sir. I personally will give you the full coordinates of the drop zone and intended extraction point before we ever start kitting up. Tonight's just the initial heads up, if you catch my meaning.
Iden paused, then let his fingers drum across the counter. He was thinking, running numbers through his head for the job at hand.
Other specifics I can definitely give you. It's chalked up at an eight-man deployment, me and seven others. The plan is a quiet drop in, reconnoiter, and if the situation demands, engage what we expect to be a militant outpost. Estimated mission time as it stands lies about four hours, though once more specific intel on the drop zone comes in that should be almost halved.

Pick up required this time? Special kit or requirements? For just eight men, I can get you in and out with only two pilots and a small plane, or helicopter if you'd prefer after a drop off closer to the zone.
*he leant back against the counter to look Iden square in the eye*
Though I AM tempted to ask what a DeSeer is doing going afte rone innocuous militant group... you guys are red-ops, dont deny it, and after the last drop...

Chopper would likely be the best option, sir. No point in going in flashy.
Iden met the commander's gaze, and nodded. Richard's wasn't stupid, that much was good.
One innocuous militant group of religious extremists with a particular bent on eschatology and paranormal activity. Quaint and bizarre though their beliefs may be, they are packing high quality, high power weaponry and have already launched small scale raids against both my command...and against the vacationing boss. A personal stake is the best kind on an otherwise routine elimination of a terrorist organization that has drawn the attention of the Gaian government from their activities within our borders. As I am in command of a strike team with standing orders to deal with threats to the country...you could say we're red ops all you like, sir, but I cannot comment on that sort of thing.
Slowly, Iden's features broke into a grin. He had not yet broken eye contact as he filled in Richards on the intended target. While he wouldn't NAME them as Sabbat, Iden had described them in a nutshell.
I think I SHALL accept that drink...there another whiskey to be had?

******** red ops all over....
*Richards muttered the words so Iden woudl hear, then went around the makeshift bar and poured more whiskey, sliding a glass across to Iden*
Alright, we're in. If not for the fact I like you than for the fact I dont appreciate anyone picking on the old bird when she;s taken time off. Thats just bad form. I'll even stop asking questions, hows that for service?

Heh...
Iden turned, and let his hand drift to the glass. He lightly lifted it and tossed the shot back, then set the empty glass aside.
Good to know, sir, and good to have you on board. No need to keep the questions quiet, though. More input's always better than less.

Not the kind of questons I'd be asking. Im satisfied on the details of the flight... and Im better off NOT knowing what sort of operation you lot are running.
Its a good cover. Dont know of ANY other red unit running under a woman for command. Give her my best when you see her. And call me with the date and co-ords, alright?
*he too tossed back his shot, then turned his eyes to the half repaired plane, a slight sigh on his lips*

If you saw her in the field, you wouldn't say that. I'll pass on word when it reaches me. 'Evening, sir.
THat said, Iden pulled himself away from the bar, and started towards the hanger exit. He had what he'd come for...meaning now came the interesting parts: actually finding what he was looking for to go after.

*The Beast Azamoras was pleased. The dark shadow realm writhed to his pleasure as two new entrants entered the thinned reality, these the first two to go unhindered in some time, since the Dreamer had awoken and started its bid for freedom once more.
Hungry lips were caressed by its many tentacles as it thought of the world next door, a world it would soon claim as it had this one. Its Pale One would open the door, just as SOON as this damnable male creature was out of its way.
A ring of its lesser beasties, almost like black malboro's of doom, spread around the area the two would emerge in, their numbers spreading to the 'horizon' of this place, hemming the two in underneath the malificent glory that was Azamoras, thick strands of black saliva-like ichor dripping from its hundreds of mouths as it brought its eyes to focus on them both.
Azrael would find it much changed since they had last met. Gone was the difficulty in communicating, its stumbling monstrousness in its slow awakenening. Now, there was only a fully awakened dark intent, filled with malicious want and will to take its needs. Its voice, when it spoke, was a physical thing, like a texture on the skin, damp, slimy, invasive and ugly. With it, it brought the feel of open blisters popping on the skin, rancid wet puss trailing over every scrap of flesh as it shook the world around it with its words*
AT LAST I RISE... WELCOME, WELCOME HOME PALE ONE.

Caelan immediately attempted to pull herself free from Azrael, and if she managed, she'd move towards the creature's servants, arms outstretched, still quite delirious as to where she was and exactly what was happening, and especially the rather immediate danger she was in. The mark on her leg, which had burned like holy silver back in the Halo, now felt pleasant, the pain lessening with each step closer to the horrid looking monstrosity that hung above them.

Azrael gritted his teeth, his fist clenching as he gazed upon the realm and what it had become. As Caelan slipped herself from his grip he drew his zanpaktou, allowing his reiatsu to rise greatly.
"Some omnipitent being you are, you've led me right to where I wanted to be!"
The young DeSeer drew a seal in the air and cast a binding spell directed at Caelan. One he had used often before, if successful she would be encased in a block of red light, impervious to damage or interferance.
With a spreading grin, Az would take off at great speed, flash stepping past his companion towards Azamoras' minions, his blades moving in a whirlwind of strikes as he attempted to move -through- them.

I DID NOT ADDRESS YOU, PEON.
*Darkness closed in. The malboro's could see perfectly, and for every odd one Azrael picked off, more shuffled forwards. The 'dead' creatures gave off a rising mix of toxins, much of which acted like pneumonic plague, while the living lashed out with stinging tentacles and teeth, seeking Azrael's flesh, tearing at his clothing as the ability to see was robbed.
Meanwhile, Azamoras, huge as he was, reached down with its many tentacles to pick up Caelan, happy to tear her from the bind. Here, her infection could heal her, flooding her body with endorphins as the creature again licked its lips. Both she and her male tasted of the other world. Delicious.*

Caelan gasped and then went limp in the grip of multiple thrashing limbs as they drew her upwards towards the 'parasitic' god. She seemed to be actually enjoying its company for a time. And though most of her mind was lost in a state of bliss, a small part of her was screaming in frustration in terror, demanding that she wake up and do something about her current predicament. In fact, that part of her seemed to hold so much sway that she began to struggle, slightly at first, squirming against the tentacles that held her, but only just so; she was trying to awaken from a horrible nightmare that never wanted to cease.

Azrael grinned madly as he cut through swaths of the seemingly never ending beasts. However, in removing Caelan from his vicinity, Azamoras has awarded himaccess to the same benefits that the seal was meant to protect her from.
They already knew that for whatever reason, this creature and its 'influence' was particularly weak to the power of Kagu-zuchi. With Cae out of harms way, waves of energy flowed out of him, washing over the enemies around him like a sea of fire, their poisonous reaches burned away under waves of power.
"Peon? Pssh, you know not who you address!"
Azraels voiced boomed, Kagus own echoing behind his words.
"Maybe I'll introduce myself properly, just -before- I destroy you!"

DEAL WITH HIM.
*With that command, Azamoras dismissed Azrael without even replying TO him. Rising and drawing back, it bore Caelan away, moving from the annoying pest in its side as the 'floor' under the Lord DeSeer became tacky, sticky, like quick sand, though the mini-beasties didnt seem much put out by it, moving swiftly and hungrilly.
Azrael could cut them down all day, there were always more, and every one would manage some small damage, even if it was only to tear his clothes so the NEXT one could cut into his flesh. He woudl find any open woud he gained became infected by shadow, drawing on his blood, even with Kagu burning swathes away around Azrael, stopping it but briefly before it would reattach before the next wave of flame. Slowly... they woudl work on wearing him down.
Meanwhile... Azamoras inspected his Pale One*
