I'm afraid I'm not a fan of cartoons of any style. And even anime is hard to watch for me unless it's a Miyazaki or other such piece. ^^;

I live for cartoons. My ultimate goal in life has always been to write something that eventually becomes an animated cartoon. Futurama is along the lines of the kind of cartoon I'd like to eventually create.
I actually don't like much anime though. Most of the things I watch are american-made cartoons with adult-leveled humor, 3D or Claymation animated movies, and a handful of anime (Sgt Keroro, anime based on video games...), including Miyazaki films.

I like Wallace and Grommit's "The Wrong Trousers" and "A Close Shave." ^^ Every anime that I've watched (except for Miyazaki's) has made me angry or ashamed to be Japanese. ._. (Usually my love for the original manga is in inverse proportion to my loathing of the anime version.) Every cartoon that I've watched hasn't been pretty enough to capture my interest.
I'm shallow. I know.

I love Manga and hate when they make severe changes to it when it's adapted into anime. Then again, I also hate when they have something that was originally an anime and change it when they make a manga adaptation. I always prefer things straight from the writer with as few changes as possible. Same reason why I prefer to watch things in the original language with subtitles, weather it's Japanese, Korean, French, or whatever.
I've always imagined that it must slightly suck to be Japanese and around anime-loving americans, because a lot of the "otaku" type think Japan revolves entirely around Anime. I was extremly embarised when I was eating in a Japanese restaraunt in Hawaii and my mom told the waitresses that I was an Anime fan. I loved cartoons before I knew what Japan was, and I loved Japanese cuture before I ever heard of anime, so I'd rather not be known as such a stupid fan term like "otaku".

Unless they make an awesomely cool new costume for the Halloween item update, I think I'm gonna keep this "Devil's Bride" outfit for Halloween.
I need facial accessories. Mole, forhead jewel, heroes scar, or any other things that might look good?

Miri: What sucks for me is telling people that you draw in an anime-inspired style and they immediately gush over Power Puff Girls and Sailormoon. Buddy, if that was all I could draw I'd do the honorable thing with my stylus. ^^; And your face is pretty covered with your hair and other accessories. I don't think you really need a facial accessory. ^^
