Aithne turned around in aggitation as she felt someone tap her shoulder. Someone dared to bother her even after that incident?! They deserved to be dead. But the moment she saw the face, her aggitated look faded and she smiled.
"David!"
She tried to hide the worry she had felt from her voice, but the relief somehow leastened her control over her voice... her emotions.... at least she could still restrain her body, preventing it from hugging him like it so desperately wanted to do.

Smiling wide, David tilted his head to the side slightly and asked
"What are you doing out here? Not worried about me are you?"
He chuckled and wiped a small amount of blood from the back of his hand as quickly as he could. He had a little bite to eat in the alley before he heard the commotion.
"So what happened back there? I saw some guy running off in a hurry, and a bunch of mortals gaping at you as if you had just killed a child."

It seemed Aithne's cheeks defied her vampiric blood as they turned a slight pink.
"Worried? Why on earth would I be worried about you? You don't need me to worry about you."
'Hmph... tell that to my brain!' she thought angrily being that she had been not just worried, but had been absolutely beside-herself about him. She didn't know why, but something had just caught a bad string with her instincts, and it made her anxious.
"Stupid mortal deserved more then I did... insolent fool..."
She focused on her hatred of that man, who normally would only have slightly perturbed her, but she needed to distract herself from worrying.

"Rosy cheeks..." replied David, leaning forward and soflty pinching her face "...it's been a while since I've seen that on someone like us. Interesting and indubitably questionable." Standing straight once more, he smiled and glanced over her shoulder to the crowd who were all wandering away, yet still cautious and eyeing the both of them.
"Indeed, there is no need to worry about me..." his eyes returned to hers, as not to show rudeness "...I've been safely locked away in a nice hidey hole."
A smile curled onto his lips and he squinted lightly.
"So, as I was saying, what brings you this way? I'm sure there are more delectable treats to be had in the wealthier portions of this city."

Aithne blushed a bit more at his teasing, but she couldn't think of a good lie when he asked why she was wandering around that part of town. Why had she been wandering around there?
She was following someone? No... that was stupid.. he'd see through that easily.
She sighed. "I was worrying about you..." She looks to the side in embaressment.

A bit shocked, David made a quirky face and blabbered without thinking.
"Worried about me? Why?" shaking his head minorly, he began to look a bit confused "I'm perfectly safe, see? No need to worry." he continued, letting a smile leak out.
Thoughts began to glimmer through his mind like tiny specks of glitter in an eternal abyss. [Why would she be worrying about me? Could this be a trap? Maybe she's curious as to where I went so suddenly? Why is she so "blushy" all of a sudden?] David's thoughts were about as clueless as he was to what was going on. [Fifteen hundred years old and you still can't make heads or tails about women.] he chuckled at his own thoughts, then quickly let out a small cough, as to cover it up.
"So, anyone else with you? Or were you just out for a nightly harrassment of the locals?" he queried with a smirk.

Turning familar corners, passing by the shops, Sabina wondered aimlessly. Still dressed in her creme sweater and black pleated skirt, she let her socked feet clad in flat, black shoes. Each hand hugging an elbow as they rested just below her breasts. Looking about, she saw nothing other than the past, the good ol' times. The times when Ingrid was still with her, when her mother was at her side.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she broke out into a run down the sidewalk. Running into almost everyone on the way, she ran. Where she was going she didn't know, but she needed something familiar to her, something she thought would be safe. Slowing to a stop, Sabina looked to what lay next her to see she had found her way to Central Park. She was attentive as she walked in, like a scared dog who feels the need to press on.
(( EXIT to Central Park. ))

She laughed slightly at his last statement.
"I think others would rather have a lycan then me for company. But no, my terrorizing of the insolent mortals is completely solo."
The tint to her cheeks faded as quickly as it had appeared and soon they were back to their deathly pale. She crossed her arms over her chest.
"I know it to be stupid to be worrying about you; you can definately take care of yourself. I just was curious as to where you had gone so suddenly and something just didn't feel right..." Her face become serious as she drifted off into thought, but soon a smile was on her face as she laughed at herself. "I trust my instincts too much, I can't tell the difference between them and my emotions."

"Hmmm, well, as I mentioned, there's no need to worry, as I'm quite safe where I am, thank you for your concern though, and I apologize for my abrupt departure. I've had some... things... that needed taking care of." David's voice became somewhat distant and his mind clouded with matters to do with the newly dubbed "Project Burning Dawn." Quickly snapping back to reality, David let a small smile onto his face and continued
"Oh, I've been meaning to ask you, how is your brother?"

"He's quite well thank you. He became a bit homesick though and went back home... but we know where each other are and write letters."
She gave him a small smile, disappointed that he had to leave, but grateful she had found him and her feeling had not been true. Now there was the issue she would soon have to deal with...
Why did she care so much about David?
But she pushed that thought out of her mind as she waved and walked away.

David smiled and waved back as she stepped out into the darkness of the night. He was glad to know that her brother was fine, and even happier to know she was safe. Aithne was a very nice person to him, a rare quality as of late in the Vampire race. Aithne was a very kind person indeed, caring and warm, and that had never left David's consideration and appreciation.
As she left, David's smile stayed, even when he returned to the restaurant and to the room he was staying in, the smile remained.
"What's got you all chipper? I thought you people were lowly bloodsuckers who were gloomy and brooded over everything." Sarah asked as David threw his coat onto a nearby chair in the room.
"Mmmm, you'd think, wouldn't you?" he paused for a second after answering "Didn't notice you there, so are you just going to blindly insult me or are you going to come in?" he poked fun as he removed the holsters and handguns from his body and set them on the chair with his coat.
Stepping from the doorway, Sarah left without saying another word. David sighed and stole a glance out the window. The moon was beautiful tonight. For the first time in years the sky was appealing. Something was appealing.

((Opening Post! mrgreen ))
Kaze sat alone at a bench along the side of the road. It seemed to him that things were active tonight, but his feet were hurting in their overly worn boots, his ears were numb with the cold, and his head itself was generally throbbing from a vicious headache. Yes, it was probably in his best interest to be watching the vampire population closely, but he was far too tired. It was late and he was still trying to get used to the late nights of New York City. It was hard, but he could handle it. Or, at least, he hoped that he could handle it.
Stretching and groaning a little bit, grinning and giving a happy grunt at the pleasant pop he both felt and heard in his back, Kaze felt a little better. He had to get to work. And, after all, what better time than the present?

( Welcome to DNY ^^ )
Pandora walked down the street, stifling a yawn with the back of her hand. Even she had to admit that she looked good in her black corset and pleated mini skirt, her knee high black boots clicking against the pavement with every step. Despite the hustle and bustle in the city, however, she was bored. Not yet had she found a man worth messing with in this dump of a city.
Dashing across the street to a less crowded area, she came to a stop at a street corner, pausing underneath a steetlamp. From the corner of her eye she spotted an immortal, and the sight brought a small grin to her lips. The nights were never dull with so many of them walking around, that much she knew. Stooping to fiddle with the straps on her boots, she kept one eye on him however.

Suki stood, a mere shadow in the dark. She began walking from the small park, slowly. She didn't care whether there were people behind her. She didn't care if they were in a hurry. And she really didn't care for the nasty looks they were giving her. She sidestepped into an alley, lithe and smooth. No one even looked at the billowing cloak falling away from the main street.
She climbed atop a garbage can, throwing herself at the wall across the alleyway. It was close enough. She kicked from the tough brick, catching her fingers on the edge of the small roof. She pulled herself up easily enough, walking across the rooftop. Bloody footprints were left behind from the ragged wall she had leaped from.
At last, she reached a taller building, and dove for the top, finding it. Barely. She made her way atop it, her foot stuck with tiny gravel pieces. She placed one foot on the edge of the rooftop, looking down at that same busy street. She crouched down, cloak flapping once more, and watched the streetlights, careful to notice anyone or anything particular.

Serenity exited from the park. Only to walk into someone. "I'm terribly sorry," she mumbled as she quickly ducked her head and walked away. When she was at the end of the block, she looked up at the buildings. Oh, I wish I knew where I were. Everything looks practically the same here. She stood there, obviously confused. After a minute or so, she looked straight in front of her. Oh well. I'll never learn if I just stand here. She crossed the street and continued walked, trying to memorize the buildings and street names.
