You're not the first to try. XD Still, 12% regeneration IS pretty high regardless of your power level, and it takes a pretty offense-heavy character to threaten you...
(Passive 24% would be too unbalanced, y'know? You can make some pretty epic builds here, but we do try to keep things reasonable.)

and having a turn start of +65% defense makes it even more annoying.

Yup, but that can be overcome. There are, for example, a few characters who could still one-shot you, blast away your defenses, or otherwise own you. And, of course, Instant KO skills. The great leveler. XD

Though it does occasionally sadden me a bit - I just like to have good, quality entertainment. Some stuff I just don't want to watch, but this seems overly narrow for that...
