Makes total sense.
Court Love indicates the type of relationship between the vassal, the knight, and the lord, the woman.
BTW, only nobles were vassals.
Commoners were considered to be part of the land.

Knights pledged their loyalty to the vassals and the vasslas were supposed to approve their knight's choices of women though not all did it that way. Some just didn't care.
Saw Tristan and Isolde last night...oh that movie is soooo good!

Is that a romance? Romance just doens't hold my attention anymore. I'm leaning more towards action of late.
Well...when they aren't cartoons that is.

It is but it's a lot like Romeo and Juliet. Kinda goes along with Court Love...
Actually to be honest it's a heck of a lot like what happened in Troy.

I have never heard of that Movie. But I kinda live under a rock.
The knights would be the vassals of vassals.
Ontop of that, they could also be vassal to numerous lords.
Fueding barons could theoretically have the same soldiers in both private armies.
Eventually, this lead to the selection of a primary lord, and secondary alliances. EDIT
Later, Miss Dawn.

I like history, it's shocking the way it opens before you and beckons you in. To look at the way the people before lived, to understand the way of life back then, it's an amazing gift to be given.
Oh and I dont' think I'm goign to be on tonight either.

NOr shall I.
What a poor evening it should prove to be, if more cannot join in this ever broadening quest.
History: Who, did what, where, when and how. Easy. why? Not so easy.
Ten mark question, eight marks on why.
OR more specificially, Why is it important.
