The only fanfics I read are those that would fit well in the original's theme. As in, you don't have bender and fry go making robot homosexual babies together and things like that.
If it'd go well as an episode aired on television, then sure.

Oh dear god no. I dispise Mary Sues and I dispise Yaoi. I want to write a continuation of the series, not a bastardization.
The general plot of the fanfic: Fry is trying yet again to get Leela to like him, but he keeps screwing up. He decides to ask the professor to invent some kind of gadget that will help him impress her, and so the professor gives him (in his own special way, by accident) a brain implant that lets him read people's minds. Fry thinks this is great because now he can figure out exactily what Leela wants. But, unfortunatly, it's impossible to decipher exactily what a girl is thinking even if you CAN read her mind. Not to mention that he can hear what everyone else is thinking, including the screaching, mind piercing sound of binary comming out of Bender's robot brain. While Fry is trying to pry the thing out of his ear canal without ripping his insides out, The PE crew is assigned to deliver a stockpile of hypernuclear weapondry that the peace-loving cute furry animal race of puffleluff 4 generously offered to keep in safe storage on their planet. Only after delivering the goods is Fry able to read the puffleluffians' minds and realize that it's actually an evil trick and the fuzzy creatures are going to use the weapons to destroy a small portion of the universe. Leela's love of adorable animals causes her to not believe him, and if he tells her about the mind-reading implant and that he's been listening in on her thoughts, he's going to be a sticky blob of goo on the Planet Express's landing gear. He can't get anywhere near Bender unless he wants his brain to jump out of his eye socket. Luckly enough, his ability to read minds also lets him know attacks before they happen and dodge them matrix-style. So he's going in alone. Woo, go Fry!
