Ryanna Rindell

Ryanna blinked several times as she listened to Brian's rapid mood swings, but that was to be expected. She shook her head with a sigh and turned to the new recruits there should be three in total.

"Ah very good, you are all here....You Steven. Guess what you just got promoted. Congratualtions. You applied for a Captain position and you just got it. Now if I am correct, these two new recruits need a codename. I leave that task up to you. As for your own Codename....I usually give that out but because of the odd events going on, I am actually going to leave that task up to the members of your squad. Phalanx Have fun codenaming you new captain....NOW! Everyone align and stand at attention. Give you repects to the deceased."

The Commander had relayed all of this information rather quickly, they couldn't dill-dally any longer. s**t happened, but now they needed to move on with thier activites. All of the Medic corps, and librarians present lined either side of the room. The two who carried Eva, picked the stretcher up, and slowly began thier descent out. As they passed the lines, each person there bowed in respect, even Ryanna did so as they passed. And once they were gone, the rest of the mercenaries followed after. leaving just the Commander and Phalanx. She cleared her throat before adressing them.

"I will be attending to the Lizard matter momentairly, Tech, I thank you for your help, and I will be initiating you into Phalanx's squadron. You will still be our computer tech, and whatnot, but you will be helping the squad on thier missions...Steve, after you have taken care of matters with introductions and things of the sort, I wish to see you in my office so I may give you the first mission you shall be leading."

She glanced over the recruits, and then with a smile, She nodded her head and walked out, off to where the lizard was currently being held captive.

.::OOC::. There! Finally I can get back online. I apologize everyone for the inconviences ^^; But no worries I just bought a new laptop so I'll have computer access all the time now.

(Argh, my eyes, my poor eyes, so much to read, I feel so illiterate!!!)

Azora, who simply said nothing to Tech, lined up hand-in-hand next to her other, whom looked as if she was about to break down. The two rows of people whom lined the trail to the deceased got shorter, as everyone bowed and paid their respects. She didn't seemed to be bothered at all by Tech's anger out break as she too, was in emotional turmoil. She other grabbed her waist and nuzzled her face into her shoulder only when the body was not longer visible, slumping down onto the floor as the Commander also began to disappear. Patting her, she looked concerned, as many people would as this point, at this point.... there would be blood to dream of to night as she felt it.

Her heart panged and raced, she gripped her others hand so tightly, both their fingers were starting to turn white. It hurt so much, and finally, as the body passed, she couldn't take it. It hurt, so much, to see someone in their death bed, and to know and love that person, even for a short period of time, even though she had hardly any memories of her, even though... even though... and everyone else still seemed to be able to hold onto their physical sanity, everyone, though only seen through the corners of her eyes, seemed to break down as well.

She began to think so all her memories, the memories that Eva, Suntzu, Captain, had made and was now carrying to her grave. She felt the hot sensation begin to boil behind her eyes and nose and then, tears began to spill. Ones heart ache for another as they pass on, will subside, she knew. But she also knew, that not anyone in this room, was NOT feeling the pain and agony she felt, but perhaps they didn't freely express it as she did. Her entire body, as she felt it ,was a piece of jelly on a vibrating machine, there was no pain as it was after you realized you can't breathe after crying, and her whole body shook as if on a high with silent sobs.

(Wow this brings back memories)

Hearing the two guards speaking but only understanding out of all things said at least ten words none of which really made any secne to him so that lizard’s attention now turned to that of the large furry beast that sat close by eating something. The lizard just watched the large orange thing as it ate. Tilting his head from right then left the chains that connected to one another all along the shackles just clicked and clanked against the steel frames. The lizard was truthly amused by the large orange creature it had seen bears and other types of creatures before but never something like this. All it could think is that it seemed to look almost like one of the humans which guarded it but at the same time it didn’t but it had no clue what it is or for that matter what it is eating which made it just that more curious about the orange thing. When the large orange thing had entered the lizard had noticed that the two guards seemed to try and act as if it was not there even to the point when it offered them what ever it is eating the just seemed to ignore it. So the lizard just kept watching the orange creature as it ate waving at him the lizard just kneel there fixed in place.

((Thank you Baltazaar for sending something for me to enter act with. Its so much easier to inneract with a living person over an npc. And welcome back Ryanna glad you got a new laptop now just wish I had a new computer.))

Steven cocked his eyebrows. The promotion was more than welcome, but he had been under the impression that there had been a captain before. So if there was a captain before, but he was captain now...

"Oh." He said it quietly, as though to avoid the others' attention. He was now a replacement. Lovely. His crew would probably be turned against him from the start, and so this could be a tricky one. Furthermore, his job had very indirectly cost someone their life.

"Okay... I'll be unpacking. I leave it to my crew members to introduce themselves to me." Turning on his heel, he headed away towards the Pinto outside. There would be a place for him here; there had better be. He'd gone and given up his apartment, so if he was wrong, he was in a real spot. Hopefully as well the bags that held his guns and ammo had not been stolen. There were lots of them, and Pintos were not legendary for security by any means. He was hoping that none of the other members would bother to meet their new captain for at least a little while; Steven needed time to reflect, get organized, and settle in.

Shadow listened calmly and patiently, understanding that this man had just lost a commander to what seemed to him, very uneccessary means. When the tech finished, Shadow bowed respectfully and started to the location he had been directed.

The 'merry band of missfits'. Sounds to me to be perfect for a team of mercinaries. There is a lot to proccess today. Tonight will most likely be a very silent one, for every one will be recouperating, one way or another, from the recent events.
And those cercumstances, must have their toll on all involved due to the strain of such events. To have a leader killed in what seemed to be a training environment and in a simulator by a subordinate teammate is gruesome. One would think that perhaps there were safety protocol measures in place during the training status in the simulator room. I suppose that not all mistakes can be predicted though.

He just finished in his train of thought when he was finally given orders. He was lined up and called to attention. He didnt care if anyone noticed his berring, but he made sure to be his best. First impresions are always important. He stood at perfect military attention. Feet together, back straight, head held high, arms sharply at his side. His face was completely emotionless, and his stare was deadly focused. Yet he was aware of all of his surroundings, with his concious meditative skill to view from a different perspective.

Then the cerimony he had been expecting to happen eventually, started. He did not know the person whom they were respecting, but he gave his respects. He didnt do it as though he had known the person well, that would have been rude. He didnt not show respect, fore that would have been rude. He showed the respect a subordinate gives to their suppervisor. He, emotionless and calm, bowed to the stretcher as it passed. Everyone but Phalanx and the Commander that was addressing them left.

Now Shadow waited for the order to introduce himself. He was good at following orders, that is as he was trained. He could also act and react on a seconds notice if and when neccessary, but for now, he decided he would follow orders.

Brian stretched himself, and grinned at the captain.
"Perfect. You know, Captain, I would have respectfully told you to shove it where it belongs, but since you put a greenhorn in the hot seat, I suppose it would not hurt to tag along just in case he wants to hang himself or relieve himself of twinkletits and Doveboy. "
Brian grinned, and patted his new captain on the knee.
"So, commander, stuff it where it belongs. You will find a few sheets in your digital infolder that will signify that me and the librarian have voluntarely assigned ourself to Team phalanx to test several field improved weapons in real combat situations. You know, I allways wanted to yell fire in the hole, and the Librarian is very eager to find out how many targets he can hit with a 6 minute autoburst with a gatling gun under each arm. "
He was very sure that that would work very smoothly, as the Librarian had grown very attatched to the gun.
Brian grinned, and looked up with his 1,52 meters to his new captain.
"So, Captain, or should I call you "not the captain"....Little joke. I would suggest Neo as a name, since you are very new indeed. As for names, I am Brian. nickname tech, my partner and heterosexual assistant is called the Librarian, Nickname support, and you just have gained yourself your very own tech-support team, and a demolitions artist and a heavy gunner on top of that. So, as far as you need me, just yell very loudly, as I have good ears and only plan on waisting me liver. "

The librarian watched the lizzard closely. He was very sure that the guards would not do anything, so he took a Nacho, and held it in his big and furry hand.
"Ugh, " he said, and bit in it. He made sure that the lizzard was watching, and then dipped the nacho in the cheese-cream, bit half of it off, and then held the rest in his hand. Slowly, using his massive reach, he moved it into the circle and put it down there.
He was very sure that the thing would make an excellent sparring partner, and that he would have no trouble getting it in a bitefight.
At the same time, he felt a little bit of empathy for the thing. He had not seen very much in his years as a librarian, so he just assumed that since it was not a dog with orange eyebrows, smaller then his body, and definitively interesting, it was not that much of a danger. Plus, he felt somehow a bit connected. He leaned back, grinned, and waited.
Nachos and cheese, the ultimate sign of friendship.

"Yeah. Fantastic, our librarian carries a pair of Gatling guns. I like this place better already!" Steven replied. And, almost surprisingly to him, there was a lot more not sarcasm than sarcasm. "Like I said, if you really truly desperately need me, I'll be... in my room. Wherever that is. Can't be too hard to find..." With that, Steven made his departure good. Through the hall he went, out the door and towards the Pinto. Back through the security (he really would do something about that) and out into the parking lot to retrieve his bags. There weren't many; there was by far more ammunition than clothes, and he hadn't gone ammo shopping for a while. Since he could barely afford gas. And he didn't have any secure source of income. Hopefully they had a lot of .45, 9mm, and 12 gauge. Then, who wouldn't?

Two large-ish rolling suitcases were pulled up through the front door, then right towards the staircase, since he figured that would be where they were. He wheeled the cases down the hallway until he found the room marked "Phalanx." Lo and behold, he had an office and a room. The office looked like a good weapons display case. Nice. His junk he pulled into his room, where he set the bags down and opened them up, beginning the process of unpacking.

"It is isn't' it?" Though no one except them heard. She stood up and unlatched her self from the other like this happens all the time, random emotional outbreaks that are suddenly suppressed and then acted as if nothing had happened, there weren't even any visible traces that she was crying. There was a loud, very loud, thud as she unstrapped the coffin on her back and let it drop to the floor, it sounded as if there were a load of metal bars in it. She simply opened it up like a suit case after untying the straps, and began to pull out things. First a thin, long tench coat like jacket, black with a red eye symbol at the hem and a large hole in the back, some black cloth shoes. She also handed her other a set of similar cloths, but the trench coast was plain and think, it clinked with metal like sounds of a chain and a thick metal collar with no opening, more like a chocker. One wonders how she even fits her head through it,, similar black clothed shoes, but with a thick anklet, similar to the collar and what looked like a combination of a Gatling gun, chain gun and a fire arm, which looked pretty heavy to begin with.

She simply placed the clothing on her, like her other did, as if she was calmly preparing for a street fight, or war. But the solemn expression on her face did not leave. The more she thought about Eva, dead, her brains and organs and blood splattered everywhere, the more emotional her mind became. It was a mix of anger and sadness with a hint of sarcasm, sadist and psychopath murder. There was plenty of ammo in her.... projectile unit and she looked just about ready to finish off that beasty. 'Speaking of librarian...'

"Hey... tech.... where is that Librarian anyway?"
She voiced out both their questions, nothing like a good friendly reunion before she got too diabolical and tried to kill every person in the vicinity.

He stood there and watched everyone leave. When he was the last one in the room he decided to follow suit.

It seems everyone has gone to their quarters for now to unpack, and probably unwind. I think I shall go and do the same, asuming I can find my quarters.

He went in search of his room. He moved in complete silence. Such that only those whose line of sight his path crossed would know he was there. The ability to anything without noise was one that all his fellow Guardians had been trained and which he had mastered. He could, if he wanted move without anyone knowing it, without anyone seeing him. Only the exceptionally few with exceptionally good hear may be able to hear the wind around him whisper as he moved. He was not a rogue, he had never stolen a thing in his life, but he was a master in shadow movement, as it used to be called, and some may still call it.

He found his room. It had a sign on the door with a number and his name on it. The number was, uniquely enough, '13'. He smiled to himself as he entered the room. He took in the simplistic sight of the layout and then proceeded to do a quick inspection of the space. When he was satisfied with identifying every inch of his room, he removed his Dragon Katana belt and shieth and set them gentley, and ceremoniously, on the bed close to the wall. He then took off his trench coat and hung it up on a hook that was on the wall. He then sat down on the bed next to his katana.

I can get used to this. I dont know what I'll do with all this space. Maybe I'll get some replacement outfits. Its humorous that my room number is 13. Its perfect, and I bet no one wanted this room. He couldnt help but smile again.

Brian smiled, and looked at the girl. The arm looked very heavy and unbalanced, totally wrongly designed, and much too heavy. He simply had to be there when she first fired it. He knew that the librarian with his muscles and his fat could very well absorb the recoil, but that little girl.... it would be interesting. He grinned.
"Well, last time I saw the guy, he mumbled something about being hungry. I suppose the guy is just raiding the kitchen.... just look around, hun, the Librarian should be very hard to miss, if you get me right...."
Still smiling, he snipped his cigarette, and walked away. He now was a member of team phalanx. Well, he should be extremely well equipped if he went in on enemys then.
Still with a bit of a nasty smile,he walked away to the weapons designers. He would need something personal, like lightweight and deadly. He allready had a vague idea of what to look for. He hummed the "MacGuyver theme as he walked away. The next mission would come, and he would be prepared.

The librarian watched the lizzard curiously. The lizzard was very still, and did not move a lot. Shruggging his shoulders, and scratching his butt, he munched down a few more nachos, and grinningly licked the cheese away to show the lizzard that it was not poisoned. He was not very sure of how to react, though. As far as he knew, the nachos were very much plant matter. Also, they were a bit more then chemical, and the cheese was definitively rich on proteine. So, the guy should have no problems in eating the nacho. nachos were, after all, good for everybody.
He pondered a bit. Scales..... something in his brain was not right, like itching. Fish had scales. Fish ate plants. Snakes had scales too. Most of them ate meat.
"Ugh?", he asked, "Ugh ugh eek?"
He was really embarrassed to ask, but since he had no idea what that thing was, he at least wanted to treat it accordingly. And the simple question if it was a planteater of a meateater sounded somehow ridiculous. He sighed. He wished that tech would be here, as he just allways seemed to know what to say to some foreigner. He grinned, as he had an idea.
He placed a nacho with some cheese on the floor, and pointed at it.
"Ugh!", he said friendly, while pointing at randaom intervalls to make sure the lizzard understood him.
He pointed at the lizzard, and then at the nacho inside the circle. He grinned, and clapped his hands. Then, he pointed at himself, the nacho, and looked again at the Lizzard.
"Ugh? ugh ugh!"
He picked up the nacho, made sure that the lizzard looked, and put it in his mouth. He chewed it, enjoying the creamy taste of the cheese, and afterwards, licked the surplus cheese from his fingers. He grinned, licked his lips, and petted his belly.
Now, the lizzard would understand.

Matt comes too with Sarah sleeping with her head on his lap, he strokes her hair as she slowly wakes up. They exit the little spot and remember where it is just in case, Matt makes it snow a little just to make sure that he can use the ice abilities just as he wished, he then walks back to the training room to see Tech had recovered his sanity and was smiling. He felt bad that he had caused the death of his captain in a way but he had already experienced the death of some of those closest to him, including the group he and Sarah had worked with before. They had taught him all he and Sarah knew and he was glad to be able to carry on their knowledge.
Sarah walks beside him and yawns, she looks at Tech and smiles, she was a year older than him in body size and she found it quite amusing.
