Irvine kept his eyes closed. He could feel himself slipping away. It was peacful really. Painful yet peaceful. He was very pale. Well paler than usual and he was breathing much deeper. A small pool of blood had formed around his thighs and down to his feet. Irvine could feel the darkness come. He could feel it all around him. He could feel it come to take him.
"I'm ready...shroud me in your misery..."

Kuro's sensitive ears twitched at the sound of his hollowed breathing and could feel his aura wavering. He was approaching death quickly.
She stood near the water's edge, wondering how easy it would be to just give up and let herself be taken.
Slayer's father wanted revenge for his son's death and she was being followed. She knew she could not run forever. It was either to die by her own hands or by theirs'. Her eyes gleamed dangerously, she would keep her honor intact by all means possible.
She would decide on her death, on her terms. She wasn't ready to die yet.

This was it. The end of the line. Irvine fell unconscious. It would be only a matter of minutes before all the blood was drained from his body. His death was coming. It was nearly here. Irvine was ready for what would happan next. He was ready for the after life. He died once. He could do it again.

"Oh hell. . ." Kuro growled.
She started walking to the water fall. When she made it to the entrance she slipped inside, the water drenching her. She shivered, and audibly gasped as the scent of blood overwhelmed her. She found the unconcious man on the floor surrounded in his own blood.
". . .you are a pitiful sight, you know that?" Kuro said half-heartedly, sadness lacing her words. She kneeled down next to him, ignoring the blood as it stained her clothing.
"You might as well have someone here with you as you leave this world." She whispered. "Even if it is someone you do not know." She slipped a hand into his, blushing softly and not fully understanding why she was doing this.

Just as Irvine was about to pass on he felt somthing. Somthing in his hand. Another's hand. It was strange. He felt somthing in his unconscious state. And just as he was about to slip on, he saw her. His mother. Being tortured the same way he had been. Crusified and then whipped by those you loved. But this time it was himself doing the whipping. Irvine looked on horrified. He looked at the sadness in his mother's eyes. The sadness that was mixed with...happiness. Irvine could see a slight gleam of joy in his mother's eye. And then he knew why. She was here for her son. Her child. Tears began streaming down Irvine's face. It was then that Requiem which had reamined dorment suddenly shimmered silver. It was as if an invisable hand grabbed Irvine and threw his soul back into his body. Irvine suddenly awoke, his eyes flying open. He was breathing hard and he was very weak. Irvine let go of the person's hand and cauterized his wrist wounds with his flaming aura. No more blood seeped out. The burn made sure of that. The only problem was that Irvine lost so much blood. However, that wasn't on his mind at the moment. The woman infront of him was. He managed some speech, though it was very soft and you could tell it was forced.
"Who are you? Why did you come here?"

Kuro fell back startled, her heart pounding. She blinked at him and could only manage a soft squeak, she looked to the blood, his wrists, then to his eyes. She only barely managed to make out what he was saying through the pounding in her ears.
"My name is Kuro. . .I-I saw you walking here." She stopped feeling slightley shy, which was an uncommon emotion for her. "I knew you were dying. . ."
She looked for a reason for herself to come here. For a reason why she had wanted to be with him as he passed on.
"No one should die alone and forgotton." She whispered softly and shivered, her clothing still drenched from the waterfall.

Irvine was still speaking in a whisper. He was very weak and tired. He would need blood soon. Otherwise he'd be in bed for the next couple of weeks. He sighed. He looked at her again. His golden and silver eyes scanned her entire body. She was attractive, ofcourse since Irvine was wounded, this was the last thing on his mind. Or was it?
"Kuro you said your name was? I suppose I should thank you...your a very kind person...you did not have to come here...and look atyou...your freezing cold. Here."
Irvine took off his jacket. It had some blood on it but it was quite warm. It would help her if she was cold. Irvine was fine now. He just needed some blood and some rest.

Kuro blushed as she felt the weight of the jacket around her, her blue eyes narrow seeing him still move with restriction.
"Thankyou. . .What is your name?" She asked quietly. Even though he was speaking softly, her sensitive ears picked up everything he said. She took in his weak appearance and knew that he had lost too much blood.

"My name is Gray. Irvine Gray. Pleasure to meet you Kuro...and I know your watching me for weakness...trust me...when your me...you know your limits. A brush with death...is like a walk through the park...ofcourse this walk in the park suddenly turns into a run when it you find out that dogs really don't like the color red on you..."
Irvine smiled weakly. He was trying to conserve energy. He was fine for the moment. All he would need to do is rest. He could get some blood tomorrow at the BC.

Kuro smiled slightly, a soft laugh escaped her before she stiffled it. How long had it been since she laughed?
Now suddenly she couldn't get the image of this man- Irvine running from a pack of dogs out of her head. It was comical to say the least.
"Well, you still look tired. . .I know a place not far from here where we- you can get some rest. I could take you there if you want me to." Kuro dropped her gaze, looking towards her hands. How long had it been since she had some sort of companionship? Why now did she feel so safe?
She had long ago shed the soft emotions when her family had died, but now she realized that she had only shed the appearance of them. She had not forgotten.

Irvine gave a faint smile. It had been awhile since Irvine had smiled. A real smile anyway. He slowly got to his feet. It was amazing how he was still able to stand even after draining himself of so much blood. Course thats where the demonic and vampiric abilities came in. Maybe even his wolf abilities, course Irvine couldn't really control those. He leaned up against the wall, waiting for Kuro to lead him to where ever they were going.

Kuro looked at him with slight concern wondering if her would be able to walk. She then turned and started toward the wall of water made by the falls.
She moved quietly as though walking on air. Her traits weren't uncommon, blue eyes, brown hair. Though, something was off, fangs glimmered when she smiled, her ears were pointed, and her nails had delicate tips at the tops. She was no ordinary girl.
Her mother was elven, her father was a wolf-demon. How the two had met she was unsure of. Demons and Elves were restricted from each other. She was a half-breed, looked down upon by others.
It was amazing that she survived even now.
She looked back at Irvine to make sure he was still following.

Irvine was keeping up pretty well. It was a slow pace, but ya had to hand it to him. Irvine was only about 4 steps behind her as he followed. He could tell she was a demon. And by the pointed ears he automatically knew she was half-elven. She certainly had the grace and beauty of an elf. Though there was somthing about her which made Irvine tingle. That was her demon side. A ferocious beast no doubt. Somthing Irvine may want to tango with if he were in better condition. When she turned around, he found time to catch up to her.

Kuro smiled at his answer to her unspoken question. Yes he definately had alot of pride. They would be to the clearing she had been using soon. She let her thoughts drift and soon she found herself at the edge of the clearing.
It was small, but the trees provided protection and hid the clearing well. She noticed her weaponry still in place were she left it and did a mental scan of the area.
She walked over to her traveling pack and yanked a blanket from it. She glanced at the one she had brought here. She really didn't have any idea what to do next, she waited for him to move first.

Irvine looked around at the clearing they had entered. After he had gotten a good look he took a seat on the ground not to far away from her. He laid back and looked up at the several trees around him.
"I like this clearing you got here. Very nice. Much more open and spacier then my cave."
