::so far the lady had said nothing. She looked at the two boys before turning to Sarume and giving her a nod. When she spoke, her voice was scratchy, much like the sand around her::

::it was rather obvious that this lady was talking to Sarume, nearly ignoring the boys now::

::the crow nodded and looked at the lever on the left, taking a hop towards it, looking back at the two students::
What is most important to you?
::the crows eyes seemed nearly empty now, as if something other programming was taking over::
~*~Forest path~*~
::and owl hooted off to their left, somewhere deep within the trees. The sky was now a crimson color, turning the mountain infront of them into basically a large shadow::
(ooc: sorry guys, I'm really trying here, but I can't do much when ya'll just stand there hehe ^.^ but you're going in the right direction. once ya;ll actually move I can do something with that)

"How else are we going to get to the village? If we leave the path, we will just get lost."

Kat had been eyeing the crow down suspicously. She looked at it again. "My family is what is most important to me. Now. Its my turn to ask a question." she demanded. "Your questions are stupid. Aren't you going to help us finish our quest?" she asked.

Sarume bowed again, noticing the comment was directed at her. "Thank you, but these two, Kuro and Ademu, actually did it. Ademu was the one two actually fight, while Kuro summoned the vines that scared the enemy away. The only thing I did was jump out and start charging." She stretched her arm out towards the boys. Then she got a mischievious look in her eye. "However, that won't happen next time."
All of a sudden, Sarume was serious again. "As you may have guessed, we are here to help protect this village (She decided not to divulge the rest of their mission information yet, just in case). Ninja Students, at your service...Miss...?" She was a little curious as to what the woman's name was.

arrow Selestria Mission, outside the town:
"Well, before we do anything, we should probably inform the elders of the situation." Then he remembered that they didn't seem to speak English, so that would be a waste, unless someone could translate. Rei seemed to make most of the decisions, so the comment was directed mostly at him. "Wait, we can't understand them, and we have no clue if they can understand us. It was worth a shot, at least."

"Careful, Kat. In Kusagakure, crows are known for taking the eyes out of small overweight babies." He chuckled, looking at how his response caused the bird to hop to the left lever, while Kat's response made it edge toward the right leveer.

"Ya know, we can always write on a scroll that tells them what is happening. Even if their hearing is shot, their eyesight isn't. If it was then Selestria couldn't do the hand signs she did," said Kaji as he looked towards the town. He dug into the pockets and dragged out a blank scroll. He opened it up and started to write on it about what was happening, his hiragana and katakana was fine enough to read.

Humbra continued to watch the small animal's movements, making sure to miss nothing. Its eyes are different. Our reactions to its questions are making it move. Hm. He reached out, and attempted to prod the beak of the bird.

Standing, humbled by Sarume, Ademu awaited the women's response. He assumed she had been the one to request them, but maybe she was an insergent who hated certain people for no apparent reason.

::the woman nodded, motioning to the people behind her, a mix of men and women in similar garb ot her own, who then disappeared back into the city::

::the elders were still in their same positions, though light filtered down through the open sky light. Several of the villagers lead them in, one running up to talk to the nearest and possibly the most ancient person any of them had ever seen::

::the crow did snap at Humbra giving him an indignant look::
If you don't mind, I would appreciate that you not touch me in such a manner
::the bird's tone was different from before, either in questioning or in speaking. It seemed to ignore Kat's comment and question, as if she had never spoken them in the first place. It did remain in its position near the left lever::

arrow desert village wall, with Jin:
Sarume looked after the group who had disappeared. If they were the military force of the village, she would probably get the chance to meet them again. "Thank you, Jin." She bowed again, making it very low this time. While bowing, she glanced over at Ademu and Kuro, who were not making any noises yet. She gave them a look, as if to say "SAY SOMETHING!"

"Ok, as you wish. We might as well head... south-east." She pointed southeast and took two steps into the brush before she needed to take out her katana to hack at the vegitation. She motioned to the others. "Lets go!"

"Sorry." Humbra retracted his hand, and spoke to his partner,"Hmm.. Kat-chan, I think I'll need to take care of the questions now. It seems that when I started my answers to his questions he began to only acknowledge me. Hm."
" 'What is most important to you?' " He pondered loudly, staring thoughtfully at the bird once more. "What isn't important to me? I'm going to be completely truthful: someday I'll be married, and my childeren will be important to me. But, at this moment, -truthfully- my goals are the one of most important thing in my life. One- to become a high ranking ninja, Two- to become a master Wood Ninjutsu-ist, and Three- make sure nothing gets in my way, so I'd be protecting my home village. Four could be my third's example..."
He then began to walk to the other side of the bird, to see if its eyes/beak/head would follow him.
