Ooh! So many clarinet players! Well, than, I should introduce myself :3! I have been playing clarinet for two years (Since sixth grade!) I'm in the highest band, which would be Wind Ensemble, in Hunter's Creek Middle School! I love my clarinet, it's name is... You know what, I always tried to give it a name and I put off and forgot about it! My favorite piece what I played is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban! (This is soooo cool, talking to other clarinet players) Oh yeah, I tried out for All County, I didn't make it crying !

I play a Bb Clarinet 8D Im in 7th grade and In Marching Band. I have been playing for 3 years now. I would say I am a pretty good player. I can play the Really high C, And I am really proud of that, since no one my age I know can play that.
Yus I did have accidents Before xD But They fixed.
I really wanted to play an Eb Clarinet, but my Band teacher said they sound gross. Maybe Ill Try the Bass Clarinet. Would you recommend that for Concert band?

Shorty-Nymph Dark Bulbasaur Does anybody know where to find the pink panther theme song for the clarinet? D: I played that song for my 2nd Grade Clarinet Exam.....and ended up getting an A, not bad for a first time. We played that in Cartoon Symphony. It was really fun. I played second clarinet in that song. I wanted to play first, but the teachers just hand the music out and say "if you usually play first, play second or third, yadda yadda yadda," but the people in the first row always take the first clarinets. It's not fair. Then our row gets stuck with thrid half of the time. I've played a total of first once. I've played thrid more than I have second. I get so bored playing the majority of my notes around the low sea. I was (and I think I still am) a band leader and I barely get to try and play what I know I can play. First, sometimes second. W/ third I get bored (mostly because nobody practices and then we take foreeeeever to move on in a song). I know that lower is just as good as higher (mostly because if you have lower notes you can play a little louder), but still..... it makes me sad..... crying

But that is pretty good for a seventh graderXd I guess it also depends on the band director to how high a player can play. my BD thought a high G(I think it is just above the staff. I'm not good at note names above the staffXd I can play that high during music because our fight song goes higher, I just don't now the namesXD) was super high so he rarely went that high in our music. So, most of us couldn't go that high. He raised it to high D the next year though, but it didn't help much. People don't practice notes they don't use. Unless they are like me, playing for the fun of it. I knew full chromatic by memory by the middle of eighth grade.
