Oooh, I also love thunderstorms. Wooden flutes too, though I only have a typical flute. Glad I'm not the only weird person who doesn't want to get their license. I'll probably get my permit this summer though so that I can have my license the summer before senior year. There's something I want to do then that would be quite impossible without a license.

I used to love the rain, after I lived in southern California for 5 years. Now that I've been in northern Illinois for 3 I'm glad the rainy season is just about over.

Eccentric Iconoclast
I'm 5 months away from being 18 and haven't gone through Drivers' Ed. yet.

Also guilty on that account. ninja

On the bright side, at least we won't have to waste all that money on a Driver's Ed. class. 18 year olds have the much-good privilege of not having to go through that BS.

@Astaroshe: To answer your questions, in order: yes, and yes but without the L. 3nodding

I have a while until I have to get my drivers license. Good thing, too. I'd fail it in my current state.

AAAH STORM STORM STORM I LOVE STORMS. BIG STORM. heart

I'm just very amused by what the cars are doing downtown; you could waterski behind them. Seriously.

Holy hell, that's the sirens.

It was really raining here. The sky turned green, there was hail and there were a bunch of funnel cloud reports and several unconfirmed touchdowns!

Screw football, this kind of touchdown WINS. Except for the people in the way, of course.

Gha, I was in that storm. The frosting on my donuts melted on the way back to my apartment, not to mention the wet. BIG wet.

But why was the sky all green-ey?

It's got to do with the refraction of the sunlight from the clouds. The sky only turns green during severe storms that take place around sunset.
It's been a legend for a long time that green sky = tornadoes and hail, which isn't that unfounded because of the hours that tornadoes tend to occur here (for some reason that I have yet to research we always get our severe storms during the evening).

It's a rather creepy effect.

My god, canadian aboriginal syllabics are TEH awesome! Why have I never seen this before! This is the thing I've been looking for. That is just like, genius.

I've already got a conscript inspired by it on the way. And so far, it works out perfectly, while looking shmexy at the same time. This is like, the best thing ever. *drool* If only it was legal to marry graphite markings on paper in this state.
