Thia snickered. "Never set fire to your bed, it could spread to the rest of the room, and then engulf your house!"
Veru snickered. "It sounds like you have experience in this field of distruction."
Thia stuck her tongue out at him. Rin smiled. "Well, my morning's going to pretty boring, I might just join you."

Someria rolled her eyes but laughed. "Please. Dalier's forced to me torture people by burning them.... And then, putting out the flames." She became suddenly quieter and her voice trembled. "I never wanted to do that. I always felt so bad for the victim.... MY victim." Someria shrugged and smiled. "I'm more than skilled enough to burn my bed to cinders and wreak havoc without burning down the University. Unless you want me to, of course."

Veru eyed Someria warily, while Thia fell out of her seat laughing too hard to breathe.
Rin smiled sadly. "Well, I still don't think bed burning is a good way to join a school..."

Someria smiled wryly. "Fine. I won't burn it. Today. If I need to blow off a little steam, I may burn it in the end. If you're not going to let me burn a bed, I think I'll go to the library to read. I can show you something very interesting..." I can imitate objects, like books, almost flawlessly. I haven't had to buy a book or comb or toothbrush in 3 years.

Rin's smile became a little happier. "That sounds like fun."
Thia pulled herself back into her seat. "Ah, just don't burn the books."
Veru sighed and rubbed his head. "Is everyone I know crazy or just starting to lose it?"

Someria smiled. "Just come with me. I can promise that I won't burn the books." And she led the way to the library, not bothering to check if they were following her or not.

Rin stood up and followed Someria.
Thia sighed and poked the cafeteria food, wearing an expression of mild disgust. "This has to be the worst omellette I've ever seen."
Veru laughed and looked at his food. "They could implement some bacon into their breakfast variety, but I guess that's just me being picky."

Someria walked into the library and smiled to the librarian. She walked over to the new books section and picked up a book. She smiled to Rina. "Come with me." She sat down at a desk and held the book in her hands for a few seconds, set the book down and created an exact duplicate. "I absorb the feeling of the book and copy it. That's all."

Someria laughed. "It comes in handy quite often. I don't think I've spent a penny on material items in the past three years. I can show you how to copy the essence of an object. It's never a perfect match. The story in the book doesn't change and there aren't any typos, it's just that the book always feels worn before its time. Want to try?"

Rin picked at her fingernails. "My grandmother was sort-of a shaman... She was training me to follow in her path... Thia came around and a spell went haywire... My magic ability sort-of vanished, but now I can control shadows..." She looked up at Someria's face to see how she took the news.

Someria smiled sadly. "The exact opposite happened to me. I ran into Dalier and he unearthed all of these powers that I didn't know I posess. He taught me one thing that might help you. I can transfer some of my magical energy to you, if you want. It'll help if you want your powers back. The only thing is... I have attack magic and you'll probably want to curb it. That might take a while."
