Chris turned to Jennifer and said, " Riten thinks that two years have passed here on Earthrealm while it has only been two days. Im not even sure where this is heading." There was a sudden knock on the ground and Cammy awoke with a jolt. She ran up to the button and pressed it. A few minutes later, Johnny, Sub-Zero, Kung Lao and Bo Rai Cho entered the room. The group was surprised to see all of them alive. Chris turned to Johnny and said, " Johnny, What happened to that Kakorata fellow who attacked us?" Johnny looked down at the ground and said, " He is still alive and went to dethrone Shao Kahn. We think that he may want the throne all to himself so that he can try to kill you guy's." Chris then said, " If he wants to try and kill us all then let him try. We wont hold anything back the next time and trust me. He will not live and if he somehow does then we will keep killing him in Kombat until we die."

"Umm...k...so I'm probably not going to get help from these guys..." Air thought to himself, then shook his head and pulled scroll from his pocket and rolled it out in front of him on the ground.

Air made several handseals and pressed his hands to the scroll, then watched as a light flashed and letters appeared. A swirling image of a jungle passageway and a green light came to the center of the scroll. "Air..take these ones through the Lin Kuei pass, through to the battlegrounds of the temple. Then, defeat Smoke to gain entry into the underworld. Help them to defeat this Kakorata, then find Noob." Frost's voice called from the scroll, causing Air to sigh briefly.

"Hey guys...you want to beat this Kakorata guy, right? Follow me." Air said, nodding to Sub Zero. "Me and Zero can lead the way to the temple, where we can get to the underworld and stop Kakorata before he gets too strong."

"well guy i don't know you but i trust you i can't see evil in your eyes so i'll go with you"

Chris put his arm around Jennifers shoulder and waied for the other's to get ready. Chris turned to Jennifer and said with a smile, " Our dreams might just come true Jen." He hugged her softly for a minute and let go.

As the group walked forward, Chris had this strange feeling that they were being followed. He turned his head so as to see behind him and couldnt see anything. Chris felt something rub against his back and he whirled with his back to the wall and still couldnt see anything. Chris then thought, ' If smoke is programmed to hunt us down, Isnt that kinda like a bounty hunter? And why would he want to hunt me down? Im not even worth one dollar.' The group then became submerged in darkness.

Air's eyes began to glow and he swung his sword, using his Lin Kuei wind element to push and cut away the darkness. "Because...Noob must kill Kakorata to attain his soul, just like Shang Tsung did, then combine it with Smoke's programming. Once he does that, he'll have a new super soldier that would put even Blaze to shame." Air explained, then let out a great swirling tornado to protect them. "Watch out...this darkness is part of Smoke's killing art."

Air and Sub Zero nodded to each other, then made a blizzard together that shot through the darkness, freezing the robots that were casting the darkness illusion. Air quickly ran forward and jumped onto their shoulders, spinning and kicking their heads off as the temple's darkness started to go away. "Kill all the robots!"

"Have Ranque fight him," suggested Riten. "At least he's expendable."

"Expendable? Would a poor, innocent child be expendable?"

"Innocent ... right."
