Rex shifted a little as his eyes were being checked. Pupils dilate as a beam of light was shone into them.
"Really? Methinks Rex will love the... expansion then," the boy said, catching Maggie's excitement. Silently though, he wondered what the word meant, but it sounded great, so he just shrugged it off, flicking the tip of his tail left and right.

"Yes, really" she smiled as she now inspected the tiny holes that were his ears. Not seeing anything abnormal, she now turned to King "Well lets see how this lil rascal is doing. Can you please open your mouth sweety?"

King stared down as Maggie appeared suddenly in his field of vision and rumbled, blinking questioningly at the lady. "Hrr?"
Your mouth. Open it, King. She wants to see inside.
Enlightened, the young tyrannosaur dropped open his jaws, revealing rows of razor sharp teeth. Strands of saliva hung from the top jaw to the lower here and there, but went away soon enough.

Maggie gazed carefully at the teeth and didn't liked the result much "I think we have a little problem. If King doesn't start getting his teeth brushed soon his gums will start to swell and leave him quite moody" She looked at Silencer "It happens a lot around predators. I believe that's what makes some of them so dangerous"
She turned to King again, checking his throat before proceding to his eyes. As she waved her finger for him to follow, she noticed some loose skin where both heads connected "Odd!" she muttered "Rex, can you please move your head sideways?"

"Oh dear, I was afraid of that..." came the reply. The woman sighed, and shook her head. So that was the cause of King's weird behaviour lately... she had thought of other things, but never anticipated this.
"I'm sorry, to have been a neglectful guardian," Silencer said, going a shade of pink. Running a finger along a healing scar on her right wrist, the woman continued, "He's been an absolute devil around the toothbrush and toothpaste, so I... I'm really, really sorry."
Obediently and without question, Rex tilted his head sideways for Maggie.

"If you were truly neglectful King would have his first cavities by now, which is not the case" she winked in a friendly manner "Maybe you should reward him everytime he cooperates during brushing "
As Rex moved his head, Maggie kept King's still "Just as I though, your skulls are getting more apart!"

"Thanks, I think I'll start doing just that," replied the guardian, a smile returning to her face.
"Really? Cool!" Rex felt overjoyed at the news, and grinned his broadest. No more having to move heads in unison with King!
King, too, rumbled in joy as the message was relayed to him. No more not being able to see a lot of things!

Maggie could help to smile at the twins reaction, but she wanted to make the situation clear to them "Yes you should be able to move them seperatly up to a certain point, but remember you only have one neck. Your heads are still connected and have a fair amount of flesh between them" She didn't want them to force the muscles and bones too much. The stress on them could cause serious damage

"Oh." Rex pondered on that, and nodded. "Okay. Rex'll be careful." He smiled and reflected on that, before telling King about it. "King say he'll be careful too, so it's good?"
A lightbulb went off in the child's head just then, and he turned to face Maggie, excitement clearly written on his face. "Letter says Rex find out about allignment thing, can we do now?"

"Yes it's good" she gave a small laught, happy for their carefulness
"Not yet. I just need finish checking your joints and tail" she continued the check up, now running her hands over King's arms, before looking at Rex's. She did the same with the legs, feet an tail before announcing "Well, it seems perfectly normal. Except for King's teeth you are doing just fine"
Storing her equipment back into place and opening the door, she said "We must go to the office for the alignment test. Please just follow me"

"Awesome!" Rex said, testing out a word he heard his mother use frequently. The boy then hopped off the bed and ran over to his mother as Maggie put away her equipments.
"Alright. Awesome." Silencer smiled, and got to her feet. Together the two headed out of the door, nodding a thanks to Maggie for opening the door for them.

Maggie walked them trough the corridor and knocked on the office door and opened it "After you"
Jabir was sitting behind the desk, pointing them the 2 chairs in front of him as they entered. Maggie sat on the one beside him "It's a pleasure to see you both after such a long time. I believe you finally reached the age to know your alignment yes?" he looked at Rex, smiling warmly
"Before we proced with the test I first need to explain to you what the alignment really is" he took a box containing 10 stones an put them on the table one by one "As you might know the alignment test will tell you what type of magic you are most capable of. Each of this stones represents an element: Fire, Earth, Air, Water, Light, Shadow, Space, Mind, Gravity and Time. There are more but these cover just about everything" as he said their names, each started to glow
"Some people only have one element, other have 2 or more. Their combination can either create a combo or allow that person to control both. And some combos, like poison, are the same despite the different combined elements" "It's very hard to determine what type of combos a person can do if he gets more than one element. Usually the best way is to check which of the elements he's stronger and train from that point on"
"Also there are the cases of a person not being able to perform anything at all. That usually happens when a person doesn't have enough power to cast magic. The probability for that to occur gets bigger as more elements a person belongs to" "But determining your alignment is always useful to know which types will be less effective on you. Rare is the case someone having a weakness in the same alignment they obtain"
Jabir made a small pause to allow Rex to absorve the information properly before proceding "And there also oppositions and ranges to consider. For example most people think a fire elemental would be vulnerable to water, but that doesn't always apply. It would depend a lot of the controlling range that person would have over his element and other factors like physical abilities"
He picked a lighter, the same he used on Deimos's alignment test, and shaped it into a mass of hot, boiling metal "As you can see my range allows me to control the flame inside the lighter, despite me being a full Space type and not having any power over fire. A skilled fire elemental could do the same to water if he could heat it enough into vapour, making it harmless" he changed the mass back into a lighter "But off course this would depend a lot on the person he would be facing and respective abilities"
"Well that's about it. Any question?"

Both figures just sat in the respective chairs well after Jabir's last sentence was made, staring at Jabir. Everything he had just said; all the info about the allignments, control, combos... swam around in their head. Well, all except King's of course.
The young tyrannosaur, while having his twin listen to the long, boring speech(to him, at least - he could not make neither head nor tails out of all these human speech), took the opportunity to rip open on the back of the chair. Presently, pleased chirps and squeals, could be heard in a barely audible mumble from the large reptile as he continued tearing through the cloth and attacking the plush cushion underneath with tiny tyrannosaurus claws.
It was Silencer who broke the silence. Not noticing what destruction King had, and was still doing beside(and behind) her, she leaned forward in her chair and sat up. "Well, I do have some, if you don't mind me asking."
"Since my son is somewhat of a 'double' being, with him being a twin; if he received an allignment or two or more, will King be able to execute tricks, spells and the likes too?"
There was a pause, as Silencer contemplated on the next question. The answer might be somewhat obvious, but she still was curious. "Will King have any... 'magic' in him, or will he just stay true to being a 'normal' t-rex with none at all?"
Rex's mind swirled some more, with Silencer's questions added in. Reached a hand up to his head and scratched at a non-existant itchy spot, glancing from Jabir to Maggie and back to Jabir again.
Neither noticed, still, what evil deeds King had done unto the poor chair.

Jabir noticed King's little chair killing, but instead of stoping him he decided to make things more interesting by making the stuffing inside the T-rex's mouth slowly inflate. "This should keep him entertained" he thought
"I don't think he will. Despite being a Magical Mishap tyrannosaurus aren't magical creatures, so he'd needed to know what he's doing and focus a lot on the purpose of the spell to cast magic. Just like humans"
Jabir continued "But having a magical origin it will probably boost some of his abilities. We can't be certain until we know the alignment and power level"

King let out a sudden, short squeal-chirp of surprise as he felt his mouth beginning to fill up. The tyrannosaurus snorted and tried to expel the material from his mouth, sticking out his tongue and trying to scrap the stuffing off with the teeth in his upper jaw. To his surprise, the thing stuck fast, and further attempts at removing it were nothing but a waste of time, and effort.
The dino then retracted his tongue and worked on simply chewing the material into bits and pieces. If he could, that is.
"I see, I see..." Silencer nodded and smiled, especially at the last answer. This should be interesting to find out. "Thank you."
Rex fidgetted in his seat, and finally voiced out his thoughts. "Can we find my allignment now?" the boy asked aloud suddenly, not being able to contain his excitement and curiosity any much longer. "No more talkings?"
