"I apologize," Haze apologized, "I lost my head for a moment." At Deimos' declaration, Haze wondered if these two wouldn't mind watching Retta for a while. "Jizzy, would it alright if I excuse myself for just a moment? I suddenly remember that I must see to something and dear Retta has had no playmate as of late."
Haze keeps talking and Retta doesn't understand a word she's saying. She wondered why the medium person gave his pictures up and thought that if he didn't want them, she did! The Mishap squirmed in Haze's lap, trying to reach for the cards, though it looked like she was reaching more for Deimos.

Diehard_Dreamer Aphrodite sat down before Garreth. "Whachu wanna play pretend with. Neen-jah Turtles? Castle?" the tiny toddler inquired towards the far larger toddler.
Garreth blinked, closing his eyes. He rustled his wings a bit, opening a single green eye. "I dunno. I wanna play pretend, we can play castle, because we can't play Turtles without Nariko, she's our Mikey."
The tiny toddler nodded. "Yeah, it's no fun without Nari, and she's in the potty."
Garreth nodded a bit. "Mmhmm. Maybe we can play castle or Jungle!" He giggled. "Since we in the jungles room."
"Okies! I'm a lion!" She crawled around on all fours. "RAWR!"
"I'm a birdie then!" He cooed a whistle.
Catherine sighed with great relief as the spider babe was removed from her face. Taking her seat where she tried to sit down before. "Come on Cato, throw to me and then I'll throw it your Daddy and he can throw it back to you." She smiled, unfazed by small red mark on her cheeks. "You can do it Cato." She clapped.

"WOAH!" she grunted as she caught the ball with a bit of force. "wow, Cato you got an arm." She laughed a bit as she tossed the ball to Salem.
Clack! Clack! Clack!
"Ooo Nari's back!"
'Why don't you ask Cato to play with you guys, you should be nicer to him.'
Aphrodite sighed and thought about. "Nice lady says that we should ask Cato to play too."
"Nice lady?" Garreth blinked thinking, and then smiled. " I dunno, I think Cato's playing with Mama."
"Oh."
During this entire time, Baxterfullous was hiding benath the slide, reading a very informative book.

Salem caught the ball easily, tossing it towards Cato. "Come on Cato! Throw the ball to Cath!"
The little spider-mishap once more caught the ball, and then just like before it was stuck to his hands. He wailed and flailed in Catherine's general direction... but this time something happened. It left his hand faster than before! "YAAH!"

Catherine caught the ball with a smile, grinning at Cato. "I'm so proud Cato! You threw the ball faster this time! Keep it up!" She tossed the ball to Salem happily.
Aphrodite blinked, laying on her stomach kicking her legs on the high platform, she watched them play. "Garreth..." She asked quietly.
"Hmm?" He blinked looking at her lowering his head to the ground.
"You think Salem's gonna be our daddy?"
He blushed. "What?"
"Nani?" Nariko blinked, her black almond eyes blinked a bit as she climbed up the ladder. "Whachu whispin' bout?"
"Dite thinks Salem is gonna be our daddy."
"Duh, Mama loves Say lots."
"..." Aphrodite watched a bit, a pensive look on her face. "I think Mama would be happier if Say lived with us. She's always so lonlies when he's not there."
The other two nodded.
"I'd like Salem to be my daddy." Nari said quietly as she climbed up picking up Aphrodite from the floor and sat down, Placing her sister in her lap.
"Why?"
" Cuz he gives me cookies." She grinned, cheeky.
"Meanie! Salem's a good daddy, I'd want him to be my daddy cuz he's nice! He reads stories and takes care of so many peoples and he dun have to." He raspberried his sister.
Aphrodite stared a bit, watching Catherine's smiling face. "I want Salem to be my daddy because he makes Mama happy."
Baxterfullous blinked, sitting right beneath them. A smile glinted his eyes, as his tail flicked.

Despite the low whispering, Salem could hear the children. He blushed at the comments and grumbled at the remark about the cookies. He caught the ball easily, he smiled listening a bit more.
Cato grumbled, wiggling all three sets of arms. What was taking so long to throw a ball?! "MAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!"
Salem blinked, blush fell across his cheeks. He quickly tossed the ball to Cato.
Cato grinned as caught the ball, throwing it to Catherine in a single motion. Huh? He blinked staring at his hands... all four of them. He threw the ball and it didn't stick! ...Neat. "Oo." He wiggled his fingers.

But he soon stoped wiggling. He felt something funny inside him, not really painful but still as disturbing
It felt like thousands of little hair strands growing at the same time, struggling to reach the surface. Bellow them a force pushed them further and further at an increasing speed
When "they" were about to reach the skin the feeling suddently melted, leaving the force bellow it to blast every single cell with its energy
It only lasted for a split second though but the effects were quite visible. His arms had grown longer and thicker, as wel as his legs. The stickiness of his hands remained the same, but now it seemed easier to control

Catherine gasped as she caught the ball, lowering it from her face her eyes widened when she saw a wide grin appeared on her face. Nearly the exact expression she had when Aphrodite grew. "Oh Cato you did it! Heh."
Aphrodite gasped herself, she had enver seen anyone grow before. She clapped for Cato. "Yay! Now you big! "
Garreth blinked a bit. "Oo.. Cato's not too small to play anymore."
"... Hey Cato when you done playing with Say and Mama do you want to play with us?" Nariko blinked, kicking off her wooden sandals.

Cato had been wierded out by the whole growing feeling... Hey... Why wasn't his clothes too big anymore... He looked down at himself, a little confused and realized the floor was farther away. "Wha....? D... Daddy...?" He looked to his adoptive father ini confusion. What had just happen? Why was everyone so happy? Why did his clothes fit? Why was the ground so far away? "Daaaddyyy..." He whined again streaching out his arms to his father.
Cato had seen little Aph grow so he knew just what was happening, but... Wow... Quickly getting up, he closed the space between them and scooped the little one up, holding him close. "Cato! You grew! See? You're bigger now!" He smiled reasuringly at his child.
The spider mishap still looked a little confused, but soon the good mood spread to him too. "I... I greww...?" He slowly smiled before wiggling happily again, proud of himself, though he didn't seem to quite understand why.

Catherine smiled to Salme. "Why don't you take him into the bathroom so he can see himself in the mirror." She mused, petting the back of Cato's head gently, the red mark on her cheek was still very bright.

"I think I'm going to take him home. I need to fix some things for him back at the apartment. I'll let him take a look at himself there." Leaving the ball behind for Cath's kids to play with if they wanted he left the Jungle Room and went back to his appartment. Taking Cato to the bathroom he stood him in the sink pointing to the mirror. "Look Cato. See?"
Cato blinked as they left. Time to go already? The entire way back to the apartment he was trying to look himself over, right up to the point he found himself standing in the bathroom sink. He looked up at the mirror, staring at himself in amazment. Wow... He looked different. "Cato's big now...?"
"Yes. Cato's big now..."

Catherine let out a sigh, and then a frown... Salem just left especially when she needed himmost. Shaking her head she picked up the ball, tossing it into the small pond in the Jungle room. "Let's go home.. " She made her was over to where the children were picking up Nariko and Aphrodite.
Garreth, climbed his way out of the jungle gym. He remind himself later that he'd cuddle his mama to make her feel better.
Baxterfullous was already gone, deciding to find a quieter palce to study.
With that they left, making their way back to the apartment.

-Dreams-
Cartoon noises blared from the television, so loud, you wondered why they even let the volume go up that high. Deimos lounged, hanging upside down from the couch. It was unconfortable, yes, but the less comfort, the less sleep. The less sleep e got, the less dreams and anything with little nightmares was good for him.
Sleep was getting a quick hold of him though, as it tended to happen when you only had a few scattered hours of accidental rest over the past few days. His mood was all over the place, his eyes blood-shot, encircled by dark rings.. He was overall in pretty bad shape, still.. None of the things he had tried had worked...

Being a bit older and trustworthy, Aphrodite was allowed out on her own, but only within the Mishap HQ and inside. Well at least it was a bit of freedom. the small was-mishap, let out a sigh, being held tighlty in her arms was Al, her faithful and most loyal friend. She wore a a pair of jeans, black and white stripped socks, a simple long sleeved mauve shirt, and her most prized article of clothing, her new gyspy skirt. Another item she is never seen without. Not really bothering with shooes, she flew about, passing room by room, exploring testing the limits of her new found freedom, blinking at the muffled noise of an obviously loud TV, she pushed open the door that was ajar, blinking too see who was inside. Wincing at the noise she noticed Deimos. Hmm, him.
'Don't be mad at him Dite.' A small voice echoed from the plushie. ' He was just being a boy.'
A soft laughter could be heard. 'It's not like he didn't want you to be in his 'pirate' crew.. he was looking out for you.'
'He didn't have to compare me to a monkey.' She frowned, keeping her arms around Al. She didn't show it then, she she remembered the tantrum she threw afterwards... not a very memorable moment. As she flew nearer, she felt.. something odd comming from Deimos. A feeling, deep regret.. and fear? "...Deimos?"

Deimos gave a start, sitting upright on the couch and peering for the source of the voice.. He spotted APhrodite rather quickly though and falsed a smile, hoping it was his serious face that had given away everyone else, instead of the rings around his eyes, or the general tired vibe he gave off.
"Hi Aphrodite.." He said tiredly, still trying to keep up a facade, but he even slipped, not calling her by his usual nickname. His mind and body in a war that kept most his thought elsewhere..
