I just found out that there is a small chance that they might have to amputate my mother's leg.

Yeah. She has cerebral pulsey that really affects her legs and contracted a bacterial skin infection 10 years ago in her legs, and so her legs are getting worse, so amputation is a real possibility now.

They knew about the infection and didn't get rid of it? confused It was so bad that they could only get it undercontrol, but not get rid of it all. People getting that type of infection more than once is common.
