Ruby turned around, exasperated. "You want me to talk? What do you want to know Bobby? Isn't it obvious I'm terrified? Do you think I enjoy listenin' to silence when I got to sleep? I know it's gone! Ever minute of every day I don't hear it, and the silence is killin' me if anythin else. I have talked, I've talked to Arch, and now I've gone and made it so I can probly never talk to him again. I ain't runnin' away Bobby! I'm runnin' because it's all I got left to enjoy. It's the only thing I haven't destroyed."

Ruby turned around and hugged him, "Bobby, thank you...but there's so much you don't know, so much I can't give you. You probably dream of a family, somethin happy and sweet, with three children and a puppy. And I want you to have that, you deserve somethin' amazin'." She pulled away, "I can't give that to anyone, and I'd die tryin."
