There's quite a few bandlationships in our band. A percussionist and a baritone player are going out, I believe... still... I don't really know. I used to date another clarinetist, but that didn't work out too well. Neither did the bandlationship I had with a sax player. I guess clarinets and saxes don't really mix *sigh*.

One of the other clarinets is dating the first chair French horn...and I'm dating the first chair tuba xp One of the alto sax's only dates trombones...it's really funny. Two of the percussionists have been dating off and on since the beginning of the school year...and it's confusing. xp

Hookani Keiki What's with the dating in your section? Is this bad? I'm sorry but I don't think it matters. People tell me all the time, NO DATING IN YOUR SECTION. *shrugs* I've heard that people have strong warnings against it in other bands, but I've never heard anything about it in our band. Granted, though... I don't think we've ever had anyone date within their section, at least since I've been there. NO, WAIT! Freshman year my best friend, a percussionist, dated another percussionist. They broke up about halfway through the summer, and when we got back to school it didn't seem to be a problem. Other than that, though... almost all our sections are heavily oriented toward one gender or the other, so there's not a whole lot of opportunity to date within a section. The tenor section is the only section that's got an even split (two guys, two girls), and, lo and behold, that's my section and I've got a crush on one of the other tenor players.... ninja

He plays in the pit section sometimes too. I think it's pretty cute when you put the two of us together because you have this big tuba and a petite flag (im a guardie). Anyway, my point is that as I may be a future captain, and Greg(my boyfrieend) was the tuba captain(i think it's properly called lowbrass captain...anyway, ) we couldn't PDA even if we wanted to. Now that the season is over for us we do anyway...not too bad tho. I left a huge hicky on his neck and the band directer saw it. she's pretty stiff about that sort of stuff...im so glad I didn't see her that day. Band-lationships are the best though.

Our band is filled with band couples... The bus rides to competitions are "interesting," to say the least. Right now, I'm crushing on our bari sax player, and I went out with the alto sax section earlier this year. Band slut! xd We all try to keep our BD from figuring it out as long as possible... he always yells at us for PDA.
I think we have about 10 band couples.... not sure how many there are in the pit or drumline, though. Oooh, and we have a few guard/band relationships too. ^^
