It...I liked...I loved him when we were younger. He was always there for me and always so happy for me. I didn't think he would want someone who was scared of her own shadow. He was better then good enough. He still is. I don't want him to turn into a heartless monster like you. And if that means forgetting I ever knew him then I'll do that. It will hurt him though. But that's the only way you'e going to like him, isn't it? You can't get close in front of others...so kill me. You don't want me here but you don't trust that I wouldn't want to hurt Kiba so kill me now and tell Kiba you let me go but didn't make sure I got back."

Shikamarus gaze dropped to the floor.

Hinata had broken eye contact long before Shikamaru looked down. she was shivering from his words and gaze. Tears stung her eyes as she took a step backwards and lost all that held her together. SHe was crying failrly hard and her shaking was getting worse. "Love isn't just words or feelings...It's how you act." She made one last attempt to tell the vampire about Kiba and him, feeling like she just wanted to curl up and die. Fear had seeped into every part of her.

"And did you ever think that the reason I'm acting like this is because of you?" Shikamaru said, voice getting cold and hard again. "Why don't you just go back into his room until I figure out what I'm going to do with you. I don't want to see you anymore and I can't stand the smell of your fear." he then turned and walk away.

Hinata quickly feld back into Kiba's room, closing the door with a slam and mving everything back in front of the door. She slid to the floor, shaking and crying. If I leave then he'll be nicer to Kiba-kun? She thought, her eyes closed tightly.

Now that Hinata had locked herself back in Kibas room, Shikamaru went into his own and pulled Kiba into his arms. "Shh, you're safe now, I won't let them hurt you anymore..."
He always knows. Kiba thought as his arms wrapped around him and he buried his face in the others chest. "Were...were you and Hinata fighting again?"
He didn't answer for a moment. "I guess so. She's worried about you now instead of her self. Foolish girl..." he tilted Kibas face up and kissed him. "Don't worry about that now, you're still tired and should rest."
Kiba nodded as he got more comfortable after Shikamaru had lay down. I'm going to have to talk with her when she gets up.

Hinata sniffed as she sat up. She had fallen asleep, no suprise with how hard she had been crying. Shikamaru scared her...and she had spent awhile thinking about what he said. How well did she know her dark-haired friend? And how much had he changed since he had been turned? Was he a different person from who he use to be?

((Lora, just do whatever until you run into someone again. Sometimes that's how it is until things get going. It just seems like you missed a lot but not really.))
The next time Kiba woke up, he was fully rested...but hungry. He noticed Shikamaru was gone and hoped that he was coming back with food. I wonder if Hinata is awake yet? She must be pretty hungry by now if she hasn't eaten yet. Kiba left Shikas room and went to the kitchen where he found the rabbit he'd cooked up, still untouched. He gave a sigh, then went to his room and knocked on the door. "Hinata....are you awake?"

Hinata looked up at the door. She had just finished moving things back to where she had found them and had been about to go see if she could eat any of that rabbit, as she was now very hungry. "I-It's open, Kiba-k...san."

Kibas heart sank for some reason as he entered the room. "Good morning, Hinata. Um, did you sleep okay? You weren't cold or anything were you?"

"Good morning, Kiba-san." Hinata said as she stood up from the floor, dusting herself off. "I slept fine, thank you, Kiba-san." She couldn't meet his gaze. As much as she wanted to everytime she was about to look up or add kun to his name she thought of what Shikamaru had said the night before and stopped herself.

There it is again. Kiba thought as another pain ran through his chest. Is this her pain I'm feeling or my own? he pulled Hinata into his arms and held her tight. "Hinata...we're still friends right? If we are, you know that you can just call me Kiba." What did Shikamaru say to her this time?

Hinata nodded, relaxing in his hold. "H-hai. We are still friends...if you want to be, Kiba...-kun." Her upbringing wouldn't allow her to just say a person's name. She had to add some kind of sufix to it. She knew Kiba would understand though. She wrapped her arms around him and hid her face from him as her face flushed a bright rose color.
