Hey, some of the Warhound Titan's weapons had good range (Okay, most of them sucked at 48 inches, but I think the Turbo Laser was 72?)
But the WarLORD has the next class UP from that. Their range should be MASSIVE by comparison.

You assume that Games Workshop uses logic. A deadly mistake.

No, really. The Plasma Blastgun was 48 inch range, so the Warlord version should be 60 to 72 inch, i reckon.

Well, the super-heavy tank-mounted plasma blast gun has a pathetic range of 54" (Imperial Armour book 1 for the nosy gits and gittettes), so I sincerely doubt that they would crank up the range much or at all for the Warlord.

I've skimmed over the October issue of WD and the verbal c** that they shot all over their Apocalypse articles is enough to impregnate the whole of China twice over. If they weren't shooting blanks that is. Right now they manage to cram the word "Apocalypse" into a hundred word segment a thousand times, so being giddy with it might be an understatement. I have a feeling that in two months Apocalypse will be brushed under the carpet, just like Nemesis Crown (who the ******** that won anyway?!) and Mighty Empires.

Thanks to boobies and a strike of Royal Mail I now have the Apocalypse book in possession. You may ask questions and I may answer them.

I hear stuff about armies being able to ally in apocalypse. Which armies can ally and which can't?

Armies can be allied to certain factions as trusted allies or as untrustworthy allies. Example of this is the Imperial Guard being trusted allies with the Inquisition and Space Marines, while being untrustworthy with the Eldar and Tau. All other armies are foes.

Can Tyranids/orks/necrons/dark eldar/ chaos ally with anyone?

Chaos - Dark Eldar, Necrons, Orks, Tyranids

Dark Eldar - Chaos, Eldar, Necrons, Orks, Tyranids

Eldar - Dark Eldar, Imperial Guard, Space Marines, Inquisition, Tau

Necrons - Chaos, Dark Eldar, Orks, Tyranids

Orks - Chaos, Dark Eldar, Necrons, Tyranids

Tau - Eldar, Imperial Guard, Inquisition

Tyranids - Chaos, Dark Eldar, Orks

PLEASE NOTE that while most are seen as distrustful allies, the pairing is one more of two armies fighting a common foe or being there at the right time at the right place then real alliances

That's not entirely true. The allies matrix in the back of the book is more like guidelines, since they don't specifically prohibit anyone from allying with anyone else. The three categories the armies end up sorting into are "May freely ally with," "May ally with against a common enemy," and "You will need a really good explanation for why these two are allying."

Interesting enough, Dark Eldar can't freely ally with anyone, not even other Dark Eldar.

That's because they are sneaky c**nts.

To me Apocalypse feels like GW is overcompensating for a very small p***s. The book is bigger than the IA books (though thinner than the rulesbook and as such, overpriced), the Big Gun dice are ridiculously large and the templates.. I have a new clock face plate!

But at least the backpack looks sturdy enough mrgreen
