Icefire Alchemist I like Anime's idea about having two people at the top. It's rather stressful having to deal with all of this myself, and I consult with other people anyways. I'd be happy to have someone help me out.
I agree that we have too many mods... thankyou! so what would it hurt to have 3 people to consult with? 3nodding

Choppers750 Well how about we just start off with Anime being a VC cause two is better then just one. Then we can keep like 3-4 mods. Like, Syko I think should keep his rank and anyone you guys think. I don't think myself cause I came to realisasion that I shouldn't be a mod at all. we could have our own soap opera. >.>

Water Rouge i agree with choppers in the sense that 3-4 is a good number. because one or two usually may be away and that leaves at least one to still do the mod's job. also anime would be a good VC so there shouldnt be any consideration for another. i also dont mind getting demoted if certain people say i shouldnt be part of those 3/4. but how will those 3-4 people be chosen is my question. if you think THIS argument is hell? wait til we try and pick who gets to stay mods. rolleyes

Until a few days ago, no one had any problem with any of the subforum names. XP It's never come up until you didn't like your forum moved to the 'spam and avatar' section. XD
We already decide. It's just not 'officially' a council. >.X We've all debated things over MSN and threads and stuff. We already DO all this. That's why I don't see what the big deal is about this council. gonk We already have an unofficial one. It's not one or two or three people. It' sthe guild, whoever decides to take part in the discussion.
I dislike it when people edit my posts. It infuriates me. If a mod edited my post, I'd be rather irritated. The only time you have to edit or delete a post is if it has obscene material or someone specifically asks you to. Again, only having a few "clean up" mods would accomplish that.
And the second action was brought about by the first, but the first action was concurred on by 3 people, 2 of which have not revoked their earlier decisions. And the 2nd would not be my choice to be left as a mod.

I can't believe someone would be so touchy as to request a name change. >.X It's just most likely never going to happen... And yes, mods can ban but not reinvite. Why? Because if you were banned, you were (at least supposed to be) banned for a reason. If other mods just go and reinvite you back in, then there wasn't anything done. It didn't have any effect. Mods are no higher on the scale then other mods. They shouldn't be allowed to overturn someone else's decision. The VC can do that. I don't think I'm putting too much responsibility on Sumi's shoulder. You make it sound like it's life or death to decide someone's allowed back within 3 days. If she thinks they were banned wrongly, then she's already going to reprimand the offending mod. She's already going to invite the person back. But if the person was banned for a good reason, if they want back they can take it to the higher court- your guild captain. You don't need a million people to say something. She can say "I think that in a weeks time, we can invite you back". or "No, you have to wait out the full month" etc. It's not THAT stressful. What is stressful is this thread though. We don't need a council for normal guild activities. We've nothing dire enough to have a bunch of mods. It's not a personal reason that they'd be getting demoted; they're not being fired as a master. Just let 2 or 3 people be able to move threads around. That's really it. And no, they wouldn't necessarily be a "council" just because they're mods, they'd just be able to keep the forums clean. Everyone that's a master still gets a say in what goes on mah goodness. Tis what we usually already do anyway. we don't need to designate 3 people for it. We ask everyone as a whole as it is. >.X Huzzlecumps. if you must know, i was planning on proposing a new system of organizing the subforums, but since its so touchy, i think it would be better if i just dropped it. stare and i for one would feel more closure if a council (by that i mean more that one person) decided my fate in the guild. sure i trust sumi, but i dont agree with everything she does ALL the time. and i would feel it would be pretty unfair if one person made a decision against me. and again, we all ENJOY being mods. i can recall more than once having fun editing others posts and trying to figure out who edited mine. also it is helpful to do things like post a sticky, or delete a post. and apparently, we DONT ask everyone as a whole. because two times since ive been back a mod has made a decision on their own. (not saying either one was right or wrong, they just made it on their own) so yes, i see need for this council What we're saying is, mod's are mod's because they're trusted to make their own decision, not ask anyone else..
It's a mod's job..

They don't do anything anyways!!! yes, they do. ive listed what they do, what they can do, and whay they like to do because they are mods. i think its safe to say that everyone here enjoys being a mod. so why change it? just appoint a few people to look after them.

AmErIcAnSyKo I'm fine with being demoted, I don't have any problem with it, lol.
If people think it would be better for me to just be a normal member, by all means, demote me. I don't want people to have to constantly worry that I'll ban them for no reason..
xd rolleyes i think you should stay mod, and ban people who you think deserve to be banned. then if they disagree, they can take it up with the council (council is just a title, it would be sumi and anime/puzzles who would just be consulting with one another.) that way, nobody has to get demoted. (except for the people who arent active. >.>)

I didn't mean to make anyone feel bad saying that. Cept for the one banning of kaen, i haven't abused my powers... Hell i actually do my job, and am active... And about the other posts... I myself would be very very pissed if i was demoted. 3nodding Well I am the same except one I have never over used my powers. Yet I am worthy to be demoted in most peoples eyes. Your the same as me Nibi what makes it any better for you to be a mod? Or do you want to be a mod so you are higher then the rest? okay, where did that come from? neutral never once did she say she was any more deserving to stay a mod. and she didnt say that she wanted to be higher than the rest.

A mod shouldn't be "playing" with their powers as mods anywho. XP' Everything you've proposed we do as a "council" we already do. That's why I fail to see what the difference would be. Sumi and I already talk. We talk with Silent and Vin and Gler and Wok when he was active. And a bunch of other people get involved, not to mention anything done to the guild is usually put up as a thread like this.
