Back to rockin pics... For those who are suckers for uber sexy CG in games, check these out. They are from Half Life 2 Lost Coast. Its a feature showcase of HDR (high dynamic range) It makes lighting and shading uber sexy in so many ways. Basically though, it makes lighting look more realistic, as it would to the human eye. I remeber going thru a dark tunnel, and coming outside into the bright, sunny day, it was all over exposed looking, just like your eye would see in real life. You have to see this is action for the full effect, and the developer commentary that explains this tech. Oh, and Before you say, "hey im gonna install this on my comp to see what hes talking about", good luck. MINIMUM specs are a 2.6 Ghz Processor, 1 gig of RAM, and a Radeon X800 or GeForce 6800 Vid card or better. ON TO THE PICS!!!
