Kaleb went to find a bowl and fork before taking the container of noodles from his partner. "Why not just serve noodles until you're not completely sure it's impossible to survive on such a small portion?"

"I guess i could do that ..." He scrunched his nose. "But it's just as easy to make you get what ya want." And it meant he could find himself something to drink.

Kaleb forked some of the spaghetti into his bowl before offering the container to Riley. "Makes sense," he said, smiling and taking another sip of his water. "When are you leaving for work?"

Kaleb nodded, eating another bite of spaghetti. "I can make you a portal..." He didn't expect Riley to accept his offer, but he felt like he had to make some kind of response. He wanted to ask if Riley would mind him coming in to study at the office again, but he didn't want to be a bother, or have his partner get sick of his company.

Kaleb nodded again, fidgeting a bit as he tried to gather up the courage to ask. Maybe he should go home instead, but he didn't think he felt comfortable with that thought.

Kaleb nodded and smiled timidly, feeling more relieved than he would have expected. If Riley asked, that would mean it was okay and his partner wasn't getting tired of him yet.

Kaleb blushed a bit, but his smile was more confident. "I-I think I left my book at the office, i-it should still be there."

He nodded and went to find where he'd tossed his keys and shoes. "Makes things easier then."
He found his keys eventually and one shoe. The other was across the room and he grumbled as he tugged it on but didn't bother to lace it up. He could do that later.

Kaleb's shoes were right where he left them, sitting neatly next to the door, so he was all ready to go by the time Riley found his second shoe. "Do you think we could practice today if you don't have too much work?" He asked eagerly.
