Vastina nodded again as she took the lead. "She is the same one who lead me to you guys yesterday. She is really nice." The path the ghost took was fairly straight and to the point. There were a few corners to go around at times but Vastina kept going. Rue hung back with Blade for a while. Maybe the older boy would teach Rue a thing or too...if Rue decided to talk to him.

The Fallen's cave was deserted save for two dragons, both adolescents, who glanced at the small group guiltily before retreating back towards a far wall to continue sniffing around and talking in low voices. They appeared to just be investigating the area that housed the Fallen and neither had a good look to them - they appeared quite unfriendly.
Other then that, the area was pretty clear of interest save for a few small bags that had been left by the human Dragon-bound. These had been dumped open and their contents scattered, presumably by the two dragons that were still looking around.

Aaliyah looked down the hallway, feeling rather dubious about the whole thing. “Weeell… no, I’m not sure about this, actually. It’s just that this is the best clue that we have for now.” It was a place to start, at least. If this turned up a cold trail, they could just wander on back to the main room and figure out something else. Aaliyah followed the other younglings soon enough, trying to think of other plans just in case this one failed.
It never hurt to have a contingency plan, after all.
Maybe she should have spoken to that blue youngling, the one who had talked to Tarketh. Maybe he would have been able to tell her something. Or willing, anyway. By this point in her life, Aaliyah was learning that the two didn’t always mean the same thing. The tunnel eventually opened up into the rough hewn-cavern where the Fallen had stayed the night before.
At the sight of the other dragons, Aaliyah wondered if they should leave… but, reminded herself that she was here with the authority of the Dragon-Knights. Alright, so Master Lierce hadn’t said that in so many words. She had translated his orders as ‘poke around as much as you can and report back’.
“What are you doing here?” she demanded, trying to make herself sound like she had any right to ask that question.

Grishmak glanced at Viscal and Thara, and an agreement was made just by understanding eachothers glances. The three of them really had nothing to do so why not follow the group heading over to the Fallen caves? Viscal had been there once before, so if they somehow lost the group they might be able to find them anyways. Might.
They made there way out of the caves and circled around, acting as if they weren't doing anything of importance. Grishmak made the detour for another reason too. He fed off the emotions of other dragons a bit. Only a little, making sure no one noticed. He would of preferred to be standing still, but that would be suspious.
Viscal glanced around at his companions. Thara was examining the ground and Grishmak was off in his own little world, yet somehow managing to walk gracefully and silently. For a moment Viscal marveld at how he managed to look underfed/sickly and graceful at the same time. He sighed and turned his attention back to the group they were following and noted that the group had entered the cavern.

The two dragons glanced over at Aaliyah and then one snickered. The other, a male, stepped forwards and glared down at the small group. He was rather large for an adolescent, easily old enough to have a Dragon-Bound, but his wings were still stunted and obviously not capable of flight, even with magic.
"What are we doing here?" he asked, his voice mocking, "We're just lookin' around, that's all. And I'm afraid that we don't really feel like having a bunch of nosy younglings poking their snouts into our business so why don't you just go back to your clan now?"

Upon arriving to the cave, both Blade and Astalder shifted a bit at the sight of the two adolescent dragons. While the youngling had walked on ahead with the others, the human had paused by the entrance, eying them warily for a moment before stepping inside as well.
Things won't end well for us if they try and start something...
His gaze shifted over towards Aaliyah momentarily, giving her a strange look as she questioned the two rather sternly.
"Might want to leave them alone..." he muttered at her before glancing around the cave to see if there was anything important around.
Spotting the bags and random items that seemed to be the only things in the area, Astalder stepped towards them to try and get a better look. Most likely, they wouldn't be of much help, but he figured it wouldn't hurt to examine them a little.

"I said want your belly on the ground, face down. Your hands stay behind your head. I won't say it again," the ranger threatened. She didn't need the man on his feet, ready to bolt or retaliate. As she waited, she made a brief side glance to see if she could spot where the bandit's horse darted off to. Hopefully it wouldn't go too far.
"Sir, M'am," the ranger addressed Risen and Avalene, "I counted three of 'em: one dead, this one here, and the questionable one off to the side. Is that all of them? If that other fellow on the ground by chance has not met his death yet, could either of you check to see that he'll not be waking any time soon? I don't think we need him bothering us."

"You've already won, no need to destroy my pride as well," the man replied smoothly, making no effort to follow the ranger's orders, "I'm not stupid enough to try anything against an arrow, a spear, and magic. One of those will get me. Besides. What are you going to do? Take me to the authorities? I doubt that'll work too well. I think it would be wise if you just let me go my own way with my companion. This is the Borderlands. You have no idea who hired me."
Avalene gave him an ugly look and moved over to the fallen bandit. She glanced at him for half a second before slamming the butt of her spear against his forehead.
"If he wasn't out for a while he certainly is now," she announced with a certain amount of vindictiveness in her voice. Then she slammed the butt into the prone man again, this time at the wrist and there was the snap of bone breaking. "And that's for hitting me, you b*****d."

One of the dragons snarled as Astalder poked at the nearest bag.
"There's nothing there, runt," he snapped, "So scram. You don't have the look of a dragon that could ever become Fallen which makes you a nuisance. Get out of here before we make you leave."
He stepped forwards and whipped his tail back and forth, snarling to show off his teeth as emphasis. However, the other dragon kept glancing at the entrance, as if he knew that they really shouldn't be here like this and was hoping no one else caught them.
The bag itself didn't seem to have anything useful in it - just some food supplies for the humans that appeared to be no longer needed as the Fallen had vacated and were headed home.

Grishmak had stopped and him and Thara had swerved to the side of the tunnel to listen to the conversation that was going on, but Viscal didn't notice and unwittingly kept walking and right into the cave. Grishmak, from his spot let out a string of colourful curses as Viscal stood confused, lacking the presense of his brother. In an attempt to make it look like he ment to walk out at the moment, Viscal listened to a comment from one of the Adolecents. He then snorted, and replied to it, despite the fact the comment was not directed at him.
"Pffft, as if you'll ever get the chance to fall. Then again, why would you even want too?" Viscal surprised him self more than anything. He''d managed to convince himself aswell that he had ment to just walk in like that.
Grishmak, finally, had gotten over his shock and stopped cursing and darted out after Viscal, to stop him from making a fool of himself, or atleast anything like that. Seemed like he had been to late. He muttered under his breath about Viscal being a fool and turned to take in his surroundings as Thara peeked out from the tunnel and in at everyone else.

Vastina didn't like these two younglings. She stood looking at them wondering why they were so skidish if they were suppose to be here. Rue didn't like how the aggressive one bearing his teeth was behaving and so took out his sling in case he needed it. Not that it would do much good but it was better then nothing.

As the archer came to their aid Risen still held the bloody sword at ready. He wasn't sure letting the kidnappers go was the best of ideas. After all they would be able to go back to their employer and get more people after them. However he was very hurt and tired from the short battle. He still had the bolt in his arm as well and that made it hard to think a bit. "Ms. Avalene I fear that this is only the beginning." He would have to stay with her...but he was not sure she would be ok with that idea. Also he glanced at Alter now that he had the chance and saw the tramatized little girl. However he had no idea how to help the child.

Geeze... hopefully the dame (Avalene) didn't kill the other guy - yet.
"Agreed, this is the Boarderlands," she said toneless in response to the man.
Did he think she really cared about his pride... inside the Boarder no less? And the authorites? She would have laughed if it had been someone else asking the question. ~She~ didn't even trust the authorities. They only did their service when they were paid - like the mercenaries except allowed to break their own laws in broad daylight half the time.
Without further thought, she let her arrow fly toward the bandit's chest. With a smooth follow up that seemed almost instinctive, her hand grabbed another arrow from the quiver behind her and she moved to nock it.

The bandit had half a second to step aside and the arrow landed in his shoulder, just under the collarbone, and the impact was enough to puncture the leather vest he wore. He staggered back with a grunt of pain and Avalene whirled her spear, bringing the better part of its weight and momentum into contact with the back of his knees. He dropped and she reversed it so that the blade was against his neck.
"I'm a horrible fighter, I'll admit that," Avalene said softly, "but I sure know how to exploit an opportunity when I see one. Ranger!" She called up to their unexpected salvation but didn't take her eyes off the bandit. "I may need a bit of help with this one... I'll run him through if he so much as flinches so it's safe for you to come down here, I suppose."

The adolescent dragons turned their attention to Viscal and the one in the rear started to look even more uncomfortable now. They were getting far too much attention and worse, one was their age. Then the lead adolescent noticed the spur and his eyes went a bit wide.
"Ah," he said, hesitantly, "You get your wings if you fall. No humans. It's only fair, really... after what they did to us." He was starting to get some of his nerve back but he couldn't take his eyes off Viscal's spur. "How'd you get that?" he suddenly demanded, viciously, "That's Tarketh's, I recognize the work! Did you steal it? You're an idiot... the Fallen hate Tarketh right now. He betrayed them - that's why they left so quickly to avoid the Dragon-Bound Knights."
Now his tone was boasting, reveling in the fact that he knew something that the others didn't. But the one in rear was getting even more nervous, especially since he had noticed Grishmak, and adult, and even worse - Tainted.
"I think we should go..." he whispered to his friend.

Viscal snorted in response, ignoring Grishmaks presence.
"Wow, you sure point out the obvious," Viscal growled, "Tarketh and the rest of the Fallen aren't getting along. It only takes a fool not to know that. As for the spur, I was given it..." Viscal paused, wondering if it really was wise just to spill out any information he knew. Plus, saying Tarketh gave it to him would make that white youngling even more suspious of him. He knew the spur was already attracking enough attention. "Tarketh gave it to me too." Viscal finally finished.
At this point, Grishmak stopped muttering under his breath and glared at the adolescents
"Oh, do you really want to Fall? Seriously, Fallen are not trusted at all. Why not Ascened? Plus, not all humans are bad." Grishmak said in a dark voice. He was trying to scare them off, before Viscal's stupid remarks got them into trouble.
