Teh_Sheba Ivy-kun Ooh, I just rewatched the first episode, and there was one thing that just stuck out at me! (Besides the voices sounding a tad bit strange... sweatdrop ) Like, this probably has been said before, but y'know when (some) newborn animals first open their eyes, usually the first thing they see is who they'll call their mother, right? Well, Just almost immediately, as soon as I came upon the scene where Aang meets Katara & Sokka, I thought of that! Like, Katara's holding Aang, and just how Aang opens his eyes for the first time in 100 years reminds me of that newborn animal looking upon his mother. surprised I dunno, that was just a weird thing I wanted to say... er... type... xd And on a side note, I feel sorry for the penguins during penguin sliding... It looks rather painful for them... sweatdrop Yep! That's definitely something that has been pointed out. I mean, the writer of the essay that I think Rachaella posted elsewhere in this forum even compared Aang's emerging from the iceberg to a baby chick hatching from an egg! :0 It had the pictures to side-by-side compare, even!
And then AVidzkjo made some videos about Zutara evidence that totally rock, and pointed out that Aang's love for Katara could possibly be misplaced because she could be the first female that he's seen and that he maybe misinterperts the little motherly gestures at him since he's never had that kind of interaction with a girl before.
Aaand, then pair all that stuff with the CoD/Pieta referrence...Um yeah. Mother, mother mother.
hmm, now I feel guilty for the penguins in my zutara comic...
crying xd Oooh, yeah, I remember reading that essay! But to be honest, I forgot about it until now, since you mentioned it... sweatdrop Haha, poor penguins! Lol, *goes to look at your comic*

Teh_Sheba rachaella22 Ivy-kun I read somewhere that someone asked if this was effected by the Writer's Strike... It kind of makes sense to me.. but then again, it doesn't... I dunno.. *shruggy* Nyaah, I don't know what's causing the delay or care, but I'd just wish they'd tell us what the heck is going on or at least give us a date to get hopeful about...With intention of following through with it.
stare i remember reading somewhere that animated series were not affected by the writers strike. this is the last season and they are stretching it out as looonnngggg as they can!! milk it for all its worth. personally i am starting to think that it has something to do with the kids choice awards. sometimes i think they rig shows like that. i won't be surprised to see avatar win AND then they will have new episodes. it'll get more hype and ratings that way. grrrrr. corporate crap!

"The Players of Ember Island!"

It's general concensus on Greenifyme's Journal that 'players' means as in theatrical players.
And we get to go back to Ember Island! I wonder if the Gaang's fire nation garb will make a come-back. Zuko still hasn't seen Katara in her FN clothes!
But I was talking with Aki Yasu today, and we're spazzing and hoping that this will be where Ursa shows up. Well, and the White Lotus of course. ^^ I was kind of half-joking when I suggested that the players were actor/pai sho/ white lotus members, but I dunno, the amount of time this is in comparison to the end of the show, The white Lotus have to be showing up, liek, NAOW...Aaaand, this IS the episode after the murderer of Katara's mother is taken out...
So, I really look forward to it.
And if anyone's seen my little spaz about a Zutara dance in the "What would you like to see happen with Zutara" thread...I actually had a really awesome realization today...
Before, it was just a vague hope that a dance would happen, but think about it. If they meet up with these players...and They are, or are connected to the White Lotus...and they know how to have a good, musical time because, well, they're theater actors...A little dance party, right before the next invasion(the timing would be suitable, too, judging by the number of episodes left) might have just gotten more likely! A very little, but hey!
Either way, I am pretty sure this will be where Ursa shows up. Me and Yasu actually had amusing thoughts that maybe they see Ursa on the stage performing, which totally catches Zuko off guard. Maybe even Iroh makes an appearence...
Hee hee. Oh yes. I am excited.

i heard that the ember island players were supposed to be something theatrical too, only fire nation propaganda.
the boiling rock i heard was supposed to be a prison in the middle of a boiling lake.
and i heard the southern raiders has something to do with katara and sokka.
that's all i know!

Yeah, I noticed that too! Also, Aang breaking out of the iceberg is like a baby chick hatching out of an egg, and Katara is like the mother who hatched it. I'm thinking (hoping) it's symbolism.
Dx I feel bad for the penguins too.

Ooh, theatre sounds like fun. It makes me think of 'Romeo and Julit', though the chances of that kind of play taking chance are slim. xD

If the Ember Island Players are performing FN Propaganda, then I can see Katara being impersonated as a "enemy water tribe peasant" sweatdrop
If they are just a normal group, then does the actress:
a. have a crush on one of the Gaang members? (lolz)
b. have ulterior motives? (i.e. works for Azula/ is a thief)
c. one of the Nomads (remember Chong and co.?) that is trying to showcase how she usedto/should be

Symptoms include some, if not all of the following; hyperactivity, foaming at the mouth, spontenious squeeing, spontanious screams of agony and/or rage, a strong addiction to fanfiction and fanart and previous episodes of Avatar, innane babbling, and otherwise frequency of general spazzings. More recent findings show avid cursings of such organizations as YTV and Nickelodeon as well as uncontrollable fits of sobbing.
Symptoms have been proven to increase in frequency and intensity around Fridays and especially rumored release dates.
Warning: severe symptoms even include such ailments as shipping wars, especially in those affected by either Kataang or Zutara. These symptoms should be handled with great care and sensitivity, as a minor affliction can easily lead to an all out panic on the internets if handled without the proper moderation.
Anyone who is affected by kataang/Zutara AND AWS is cautioned to take precaution in their roaming, and think before they post, lest they be sucked into the severe fandom affliction that is the Shipping War.

Teh_Sheba: xD That's hilarious. Someone needs to make an icon/fanart of that. Though, I always thought 'AWS' stood for 'Avatar Withdrawal Syndrome'. I guess it makes sense either way. ^.^;
