He eyed the portal for a minuet before he walked though it. He was glad for the couch since that meant that when his head decided to rebel against him he could just drop himself onto it and as it happened Rude's lap.

Kaleb followed without any hesitation, and with a lot more composure on the other side. "Where did you want me to put this stuff?" He asked, figuring Reno would want something right away, but likely not all of it at once.

He rolled over so that his face wasn't hidden against Rude's leg and waved a hand. "Hand me a beer and the rest can go in the fridge"

"Okay," Kaleb said, managing to dig out a beer and hand it to Reno, before taking the rest of the alcohol and safely tucking it away in the fridge. With that accomplished, he went back to the livingroom and sat down on the end of the couch. "Were you less dizzy that time?"

He'd cracked open the beer and downed at least half of it by the time Kaleb came back. It seemed a strange feat is he hadn't moved is head from Rude's lap or so it seemed.

Kaleb nodded and smiled. "Yeah, but if you do it more often you'll get used to it. It took me awhile before I was able to recover as fast as you did though."

"I-I wouldn't think taking lightning spells to the head would be benficial in any way..." Kaleb said, adjusting his glasses. "But if you wanted to practice more at some point, I'd be willing to help."

"It's not really .. but i'm not normal remember?" He downed the rest of the beer and set the empty bottle on the table. "I'll just have to practice when i need to use you to get more beer"

"Eh, you liked it" He glared up at Rude for a moment.

Kaleb was rather amazed at how fast Reno downed the beer, perhaps there was some truth to his words. "I-I can't imagine that will be too far in the future then." He said.

Kaleb smiled, that was rather reassuring to hear. "You know, it could be useful for you to get used to the portals, and not just for picking up beer." He wiggled a bit, sinking deeper into the comfy couch cushions with a smile.

"you're not suggesting that i get used to it for jobs are you?" That, while a good idea, was a little strange to him. He could get out of buildings on his own thank you.

Kaleb shrugged. "It could be useful, if nothing else for an escape route if things go wrong." He let his head flop back against the back of the couch, wishing he had something so comfortable in place of his own old and threadbare furniture.

"Yea ... but that's not as fun as jumping out of a window." Then again jumping out of windows wasn't generally a good idea but Reno never bothered to think about that.
