*Sierra lips tweaked with disgust as a frown creased her brow. She respected and loved her yojimbo as both a warrior and a lover but when she saw someone lose control it tended to hit a little close to home with her past. Rising to her feet in one fluid movement she gathers her skirts and makes her way down to the arena. Her sister's pain flowed out to her and she was already evaluating how to aide her without enlisting holy magics.*

*Gouken stood and listened to the scene. He could feel the aura of utter dissapointment and pain emonating from both women, and he felt a huge rush of disgust fill himself. He turned quickly and walked fast into the shadows of the arena, dissapearing to be alone with himself.*

The girl wiped away her tears and tried to sit up. She knew Gouken was leaving and she didn't want him to go.
"Onisan!!"
She sighed as she realized he wouldn't be coming back.

*She picks up her pace as Mai's voice reaches her pointed ears and all of a sudden she breaks out into an all out run. With a burst of inhuman speed she's kneeling beside her sister in a flash. She takes her into her arms carefully as not to agrivate her wounds and she smiles sympathetically her voice soft and soothing as she projects peace and calm to the young vampiress.*
"You did well imouto... I'm going to go into your mind love... block out some of the senses that allow you to feel pain okay? Then we'll do something about your beautiful wings..."
*She casts a sad look at the damaged faethers and frowns.*
"My poor sweetie... and your poor wings... Let's get you taken care of hai?"

"Oh, Onesan, it's my fault, I should have given up, I should have let him win, I..."
The girl sobbed on her sister's shoulder; she knew Gouken hadn't meant it. She was a stubborn vampiress, but so were many of her kind, they hated to lose.

*She hold's Mai firmly and chides her softly.*
"Settle down imouto... You're in no shape to chase after him."
*She strokes a hand gently through her hair and holds her firmly against her, soothingly and protectively. She let the strength that could fill her arms be known and and projected a feelign of safeness to the girl*
"It wasn't your fault love... And it wasn't his... Knowing what I do now... I will interrupt sooner should you two spar again and I feel the need arise."
*She closes her eyes and searches for the feel of Gouken... it wasn't difficlut being as close as they were and having connected with him often before. His self loathing slamed into her and she staggered only slightly before projecting herself to him. She coloured her thoughts carefully showing understanding and gentleness not anger as best she could.*
::Gouken-kun... please... I need you here now. I'm not angry dearling.::

*Gouken offers up no thought in reply to the one sent to him. Instead, he centers himself to block anyone out of his mind and continues moving, leaving the arena and moving out into one of the many gardens.*

Mai smiled weakly at her older sister. The girl was suddenly hit with a strong feeling of weakness. She watched Sierra through her half-open eyes as her wings fluttered weakly.
"I'm sorry onesan, I won't take it this far again. No more bouts for me soon, eh?"
The pain in her head reached a painful cresendo and the small vampiress slowly slipped into a darkness free of guilt, pain, and broken wings.

*Sierra hold her as she passes out, carefully she tucks up the broken wings and eases the unconscious girl into her arms. She smiles down at her a saddness in her eyes.*
"No my little love... no more matches for you for a little while."
*She craddles her head against her chest and then turn a vexed mind towards her yojimbo. She growls mentaly as she mutters under her breath*
"You call yourself my lover and my protector yet because of one incident you dare to ignore me and attempt to block me out so you can drown in your self pity? Ohhh I don't think so 'dear'..."
*That last was uttered in a scathing hiss as her face twisted into an ironic smile. She centered herself and sudenly, gathering herself mentally she opens that line between them and tests the barrier he's constructed. She throws just enough power at him to send a tremor through his body before she crashes all 67 000 some years of her existance through his mind and obliterating his shields. Yet... she shields him from the worst of it herself... not wanting to destroy his mind only prove a point.*

*Gouken stops walking as he feels her penetrate his mind, and his empty sockets widen in shock. He tries to think for her to stop, because the barrier was not only to keep her out, but it was too late. As the memories of her 67000 years smashed through his mental barriers, all of his own memories he kept behind the barrier flooded through his mind as well. His mother dead on the floor of their home, his father cutting out his eyes, everything in a sudden instant. All his bottled emotions flooded through his body as he let out an ear piercing shriek, clutching his head and crumpling to his knees, his bloodcurdling scream never ceasing as the horrible memories mingled and danced in his minds eye all together.*

*Sierra shrieks wordlessly as his pain travels through their metaphysical connection and breaks over her like a tempest of raw pain. She sags to her knees still cradling Mai in her arms. Her vision flickers before her and she shakes her head violently fighting to clamp down on it. She had never actually revealed her memories just let him feel the sheer weight of her existance in his mind... but she had never guessed that he wouldn't have shielded his memories seperately. She had known a little about how his blindness had come to be... but not lived it. Her stomach churned with revulsion as she slapped up a barrier of her own in place of the one she had destroyed. Her heart thudding loudly in her ears, tears slipped down her pale cheeks as she hated herself for what she had just done to him. She staggered to her feet carrying Mai gently and rushes outside to where Gouken had sunk to the ground*

*Gouken's screaming ceased as she stemmed the flow of memories and emotions, and he let out a shuddered breath, falling to his side in a heap and gaping wordlessly at the gardens in front of him. No thoughts passed through his mind, and no emotions coarsed through his veins. He lay, for now, an empty shell void of any mental activity. His mind, it seemed, had been shattered almost beyond repair or recovery.*

*She sinks to her knees beside him and shifting Mai so that she's over one shoulder... her hands tremble as she grabs a hold of Gouken and heaves him onto her other shoulder. She bites off another scream as tears flow silently down her cheeks. Her mind races as she tries to think of how to attack this and not cause him more dammage. Grim faced she trudges towards the infarmary with two of the people she cares most about in the world wounded and broken both in different ways, berating herself every step of the way.*

*he walks into the empty arena, taking a deep breath, remembering all that had happened in that very place. Remembering the time that he had nearly died. The time that Ryoko had accidentally run him through with her sword. Then when the healer had managed to save him from death, but at a great risk to himself. Come to think about it, most of the memories were quite depressing. The number of times he had cheated death. it was quite ironic, considering how much blood he had spilled here. it was quite funny*
More or less as I remember it...
