User ImageHer cousin's question snapped Felix back to the present. "Well, we can't just let them die here," she said bitterly, kicking at Daren's near life less body lightly, "I don't feel like wasting any favors trying to hide their bodies from the police."

More than anything, Felix wanted to yell at both men to carry their own pitiful bodies back to wherever the hell they came from. Unfortunately, her consence[sp] was battling with her will for revenge. "There's a heater in the room down the hall." she said after a few moments, letting out a deep sigh, and looking down at the two men,"If you want to live...I suggest you find your own way there..."

She turned to Kyrin, still shivering, "I refuse to touch them." she said in disgust, "I'm going to change upstairs."

Choosing not to wait for her cousin to answer, Felix stepped over the two men, and proceeded down the hallway, pausing only for a moment, to note that Mikel had started to operate on Izzy. A quick shudder ran through her, as she remembered all the blood that came out of such a tiny body. Forcefully pushing the graphic scene out of her mind, Felix turned to continue up the stair case. I won't be gone for long, she told herself, I don't want those men to get too comfortable...

Kyrin’s mind screamed, Why!? Why can’t we let them die!? Watching her cousin ascend the stairs, Kyrin looked down at the men, What is she going on about? I don’t want them in my living room. We’ll have to get all new furniture. With that thought she looked down at her hands, they were still speckled with yellow paint. Her heart stung, that was the reason they went out in the first place. She then turned her gaze to Draven, Could this be my fault? She wondered suddenly, If I hadn’t approached him… then none of this would have happened. Shaking the thought from her mind she looked at Daren, “You heard her, we aren’t going to help you, but we’ll allow you to heat yourself up.”

And if they try anything funny, they’ll be dead for sure, the way Felix has this place wired. She thought idly, as she pulled her phone from her pocket. She pressed her finger on speed dial 3. She figured they may want someone with strength around to help and Craig seemed a well enough candidate. He was never far away, as his house was only a street down from the mansion.

Draven groaned, he knew very well that he couldn’t drag both his body and Daren’s to the heat. It would be futile. So being the natural survivor that he was, Draven began to drag himself to the heat, slowly picking himself up as he went, pride pushing him on more than anything else, “I will get my revenge”, he thought, “I let my guard down and that broad hit me…” it was painfully obvious that Draven was sore about it, and wouldn’t let it drop until the supposed wrongs were righted.

Although he wanted to see the young girl more than he wanted to live, Draven knew better and continued his way towards the living room where he would then try and warm up by disrobing and sitting near the heat with his clothes lying not far away. Draven sat by the heater an angry look painted on his stubbed face. Draven's guns sat in front of him along with the knife.

Daren looked up to see Draven crawling away and smiled. At least his friend was awake, and now it was time for him to get warm. Growling slightly he kicked off both boots and then rolled onto his stomach; with a heavy drawn out grunt he pushed himself up onto his knees, followed by standing up. He could barely hold his own weight so he leaned against the wall and shakily began walking to the warmth. Each step was a heavy thump as he made his way to the room they were directed to. However despite the short distance it took him several minutes to arrive, where he would proceed to remove his pants.

Kyrin watched the men trudge down the hall in disgust, as they tracked muddy water into the living room. When Craig picked up the phone on his end, Kyrin said a few short words to him. This resulted in him being at the door within about five minutes of Kyrin hanging up with him.

Craig shook out his umbrella and let himself in. He saw Ky standing in the middle of the hall way, looking into the living room. Following her annoyed gaze, he saw two men, one of which was fully naked and the other whom was almost naked as well. Craig sighed and walked over to her. To the touch she was cold, though no longer shivering, Craig held her close for a minute before saying, “Go change, I’ll watch them.”

Kyrin looked up at Craig, her shoulders dropping; this was not how she had planned the night to go. “Okay…” Was all she managed to say before he directed her to the stairs.

“Go see Izzy, too. She might be more conscious now.” Craig said in a soothing tone. He watched Kyrin wander up the stairs and out of sight before he made his way to the living room.

Craig looked the men over, more sizing them up then anything else. He knew why he was here; Kyrin couldn’t take on two men the size that these guys were. Craig wasn’t even sure that he could take them by himself. Putting his hands in his pockets he felt his guns and relaxed a little. He put his back against the door frame, he didn’t think they would try to leave, but if they did, he would be in the way.

Mikel's hazel eyes traveled up away from the wound, to look at Izzy's facial expression for a few moments. She's very brave... Mikel thought to himself, as he continued stitching up the large area the bullet had torn through. Given the condition she was found in, and the lack of surgical equipment Mikel had with him at the time, he couldn't properly give Izzy any anethestics [sp] before commencing the operation. Luckily for her, the loss of blood helped keep Izzy in a state of semi to unconsciousness, so Mikel could complete his work quickly...or so he hoped, knowing full well, she could possibly still feel everything.

"She's very lucky," Mikel murmered, pausing only for a moment to look back at the stitches he had begun to put in, "The bullet missed any fatal organs, but she's going to need something for the pain very soon...," Mikel was an absolute master when it came to sticthes. In fact, no matter how large the torn area seemed to be, he made it his uncompromisable[sp] mission to have it "patched" in 20 minutes or less. Mikel smiled to himself as he continued to work, setting a personal goal to be done with Izzy in under 15. That will definately make my aunts happy...the less time for them to worry, the better. Mikel thought to himself, before glancing up at his personal guard.

"Please call our driver, and ask him to pick up the rest of my equipment at mother's before heading back to the mansion," Mikel said thoghtfully, wiping a bloody glove on his jacket, "Once he delivers them, you can go home, Richard."

The large man nodded solemnly, quickly stripping himself of his dirty gloves and shirt, knowing that the young boy now had the situation under control. Throwing on a wool jacket that he had earlier discarded on the floor, Richard fished out his cell phone and called for the driver before stepping outside the room.

Knowing that more materials would be coming to make his patient more "comfortable", Mikel relaxed a little bit. He hated being unprepared, and the fact that Izzy could have been injured beyond his immediate repair with the equipment on hand, unnerved him a bit. He wanted to finish the stitches up fast so that Izzy would suffer less, but he knew the pain, although only for a short time, would be a little more. Seeing Izzy's face twist up in pain, almost stifling a sob from time to time, almost made Mikel lose his professionalism on the 'subject'. Feeling a bit cold, and uncaring for not reaching out to her, but knowing he had a job to finish, Mikel forced himself not to check Izzy's face for signs of consciousness. Hearing the small moans and feeling her body shudder from time to time, were all he could take. "Ssshhh..." he said, mechanically trying to soothe her, "It'll... all be over soon."

Outside, in the snow, a man stood. His breath made clouds in the air, clouds he watched dissapate with cold blue eyes. His chin was buried in a black scarf, and his hands vanished in the pockets of a black peacoat. He wasn't tall, but his thin body and long legs, covered with dark denim, made him seem so. He leaned against the surrounding walls, unknowing of the blood and fighting inside the mansion, and uncaring. Such was what he had come to escape.

He figured, with ignorance, that he could rest against this wall. He had been walking for far too long, through streets and alleys, trying to find himself lost beyond recognition. He pulled his hand from his pocket to brush brown bangs from his face, but the black-nailed hand quickly hid from the cold again. It emerged with a cell phone, and he scanned the ID with disinterest and mild anger. "Don't bother calling, Ian," He said to the phone, "I'm not coming back again. This is for real this time, my love." He shoved the phone back into his pocket, briefly wondering why he had brought it at all, and sighed deep. He looked in the gate, curious and seeking a distraction, and saw blood in the snow. I hope you're alright. Blood was something he had seen too often. He felt against his neck, compulsively seeking a scar that ran against his pulse, and shuddered. Whatever was going on in there was something he didn't want to get involved in.

User ImageThe door slammed shut by itself, as Felix entered her laboratory. Not bothering to check her equipment for any updates, Felix trudged across the room to the closet, kicking off her black snow boots along the way. Still shivering, her long fingers worked quickly to punch in a code that would lead her to a world of warm jackets and dry clothes in general.

Suddenly, the faded wall paper and shelvers that she was standing in front of, rotated around like a revolving door, to reveal a rather large dresser, loosely stuffed with every clothing item Felix owned. Standing on her tip toes, Felix placed her glasses on the top of the dresser, and then immediately began to strip off her soaking wet clothes. The freezing cold hit Felix even harder than before, reminding her that she had yet to turn on the heater for the rest of the mansion. "Setting temperature...75 degrees Farenheit[sp]." she mumbled into her headset, trying to pull on a rather form fitting sweatshirt at the same time.

Hearing the hum of the heater turning on, prompted Felix to pull on her clothes more quickly, now that she was thawing out. However, by the time she pulled on a pair of baggy camo pants, translucent screens began popping up in her face, revealing that an intruder was on the grounds. Who is it now...? she thought, rather annoyed.

Curiosity always got the best of her, though, and Felix froze in place in order to focus on the new comer better. Is he with the other two men?? she thought angirly, her bright blue nails tapping her headset in order to zoom in on the stranger. Against her will, Felix let out a little giggle at the man's phone conversation. Who says 'My Love?' anymore, anyway? Raising an eyebrow, Felix studied the man for a few more moments. Was he really just going to lean against their wall all day? Or was he with the other two men, and planning another attack.

With a few strides, Felix was at her monitoring system. Plopping down in her swivel chair, she took a quick spin around in thought, before stopping herself in front of her computer. "Better safe, than sorry." Felix smiled crookedly, quickly typing in the command for the man to be "escorted" into the mansion.

"Escorted", of course, meaning for him to fall through a tunnel, that would lead to a living room with two half frozen men laying in wait.

The man let out a quick yell as the ground gave way underneath him. He scrambled for a grip, clinging to the ground and pulling up, scraping his hands, his hold failing in the snow. He landed in the living room , square on his backside, and looked around in bewilderment. This was definitely something he did not want in on. These were the kinds of things Eddie would have done, kinds of things he was running away from.

User ImageFelix's lips curled into a wide grin only moments before she burst into uncontrollable laughter that was a little short of cackling. The last time she used her "intruder shute", everyone landed on their feet which was a huge disappointment, but this man landed flat on the ground very ungracefully. Holding her stomach, Felix swilved side to side, trying to control her laughter. However, every time she managed to reduce herself to a mere giggle, and look at her monitor again, the man's bewildered facial expression sent her rolling on the floor again.

After a few moments, Felix, still plagued with a fit of giggles, tried standing up out of her chair, ready to interrogate the three men with her cousin. However, as she was standing up, her hand hit a few buttons on her keyboard that would open another portal, sucking the third stranger directly to her lab. Shaking too much, and laughing to loud to notice, Felix fell back into her chair, smugly patting herself on the shoulder for a job well done.

As soon as he had found his bearings in this new enviroment, and seen the room full of strangers, he was pulled away again. This time he was ready for it, or more so than he had been the last time, and managed to stay standing. He was pulled into a laboratory, the likes of which he hadn't seen since, once again, Eddie and home, which he was beginning to think was preferable to the way he had spent his day. Nine hours on a bus, five of walking in the snow, and now I'm getting pulled around as though I never left?

User ImageThe laughter stopped suddenly, as Felix heard a soft "thump" behind her. As the portal on the wall closed with a click, Felix turned slowly in her chair, afraid of who she might find in her laboratory. Seeing the confused, and slightly annoyed man standing before her, Felix let out a scream of surprise. "What are YOU doing here?!" she asked, practically falling out of her chair.

He steadied himself and brushed off his dark jeans, facing the girl. Somewhere in this mess he had lost his scarf, and he grasped a plain black choker that adorned his neck, looking around, almost nervous. "I got pulled here completely against my will, actually.. I'd ask you what I'm doing here too." He scanned the room again, eyes falling on familiar objects, lost. He grasped for his phone, checked the ID, sighed, and switched the device off. He fixated on the girl again, his expression never once changing from attractive indifference. He found something again in the room that was familiar to him and made a note of it. He took a few unsteady steps, if only to make certain that the ground wasn't going to give out underneath again, walking towards the girl.

User ImageStill a little unnerved, Felix took a little step backward, feeling around for her orb that could turn into handcuffs. Cursing under her breath, for she remembered she had already used it on Fiore, Felix was forced to actually asses the man coming toward her. "Well, it seems," she said, placing a hand on her hip, "That I summoned you here by accident."

Still a little uncomfortable, that she couldn't detain the man immediately, Felix walked around to the other side of her desk, walking her fingers across it all the while. Glancing up quickly, Felix noted that the man was indeed very handsome, but not exactly her type. "Or maybe it's fate!" she said in a mockingly romantic voice, Either way...you may be stuck here for awhile...mind telling me why you were on our property? Or were you planning to meet up with you're friends in the living room?

He stopped walking, and laughed sardonically. "I was resting against a conveniently placed wall, I had been walking for too long in the godforsaken snow. I don't know anyone in that room, or in this one, for that matter. Why would I be here for awhile?" He stepped back, mentally assesing the situation. He was too used to being the one in charge. Being here, being in a situation beyond his control was to his immediate distaste. He fumbled with his hands, pushing them in his pockets and feeling everything that was in there, his phone, some money, a necklace and a letter. Everything he owned. He looked down then back up at the girl, speaking softly and almost timidly. "Who are you?"
