I'm pretty sure it was just how he did things... It's amazing that one man could rally so many people and do so much damage. Hitler is an amazing person. I hate what he did, but you have to admit he did great things. (Like in the Harry Potter movie: Great and powerful things. Terrible! Yes... but great...) o-o That guy in the wands shop scared me... ;;;

XD I like Ollivander. But yeah, I agree: Hitler was amazing, even though he did such horrible things. I mean, you've gotta be pretty amazing to convince thousands of people that it's okay, no, *right,* to kill millions just because of their race...

Well... this conversation has gotten... interesting.
I dunno, I don't think he's amazing. Is it amazing to be that horrible? Erm, I don't know humans are easy to manipulate.... it's just that most of us don't step up and actually try to control them. But, people follow the crowd and all it takes is a charismatic leader to get them to do just about anything.... -.-; Is that really amazing?
I dunno. -.-;;

That's what I said at first. But then my friends were like 'oh but blah blah and blah blah' So I ended up actually realizing that he was amazing. There's a limit to how stupid humans can get. I'd realize something was wrong if I was given a puppy, and then later when I had grown attached to it, told to kill it to be accepted as a Nazi. But for some reason.. people followed him. Perhaps it was fear of this man that drove so many to help him? Another movie quote: 'It is better to be the right hand of the devil... Than in his path.'

*shrug* I dunno.... I just don't like the word amazing for it...
It's all just psychology. I think when you'll study it you'll see. There was this one experiment - done with college kids, given the role to be guards other's to be prisoners. Just an innocent experiment... at first... the guard kids went crazy and started torturing the prisoners... making them do push ups, humiliate them, make them take off their clothes and run laps. Obnoxious things because they were given power... anyway, psychologists think their behavior mirrors Nazi/Army behavior in away. Anyway, I can't remember much about it, but I know they had to cancel the experiment before it could finish due to the suffering many of the kids were going through. O_O

It is psychology. My barking phsychology teacher talked with us about that today actually. But then, if you don't like the word amazing, would you accept the word 'great'? As in that earlier movie quote? XD *I heart movie quotes*

...no seriously, would you accept the word great? It's conformity... that's why the Nazi's did it. They did experiments right after WWII that proved so. More people than it should have been shocked the person on the other side of the wall all the way up to lethal, even though no one was making them do it... And it was easier to do it when they couldn't see the person and had no contact with them. But when they took the wall down, less people went all the way to lethal. Kinda like how the people followed Hitler, because they were technically 'behind' the wall and could only hear what was going on...

Yes. Yes it is. X3 But I think Hitler is special. Most of the dictators that get people to follow them are special. THey have brainwaves that suck in other people to do their bidding. xd And I'm so morbid I watched the hanging of Saddam on youtube.com It was GREAT. Bin Laddin is NEXT. (did I spell that right?)

Oh, wow, that is quite morbid... ^^;; I wouldn't watch it though... I'm against the death penalty, even for people like Saddam.

Yea... I could never watch someone... *cringe* die. I mean, a real person, an actual video... I just couldn't do it.
I don't know how I feel about the death penalty at this moment. I just know I couldn't watch something like that.
