Demetrius' brows furrowed. What an interesting creature he thought. He could almost smell the warm scent of life coming from her, but he resisted. "My dear, you are in the West Courtyard. Now come out, nothing will happen, you are safe here." he promised.

‘Nothing won’t happen…?’ she repeated in her mind, looking up at Demetrius with lost eyes to face him. As she stood up from her spot where she hid from the strange noises from the building, alertness came to her when she approach Demetrius slowly. Tears were still in her eyes, but she quickly dry them away with her hands from Demetrius touching her. “What are you??” she suddenly ask in wonder, hoping he didn't mind her asking on what he was.

Demetrius smiled. "I am a human, and you are the first to question my race. I suppose I will have to get used to that here though. And what are you?" He asked, inquisitive red eyes looking into hers.

Reikon only blushed in embarrassment at the question she ask, but she couldn’t help it when it comes to people she doesn’t know very well. “I’m a half-breed,” she told him, feeling a bit paranoid when he smiled at her. It made her a bit uncomfortable for a human like him to smile at her like that and she didn’t know whether she should smile back or not to him for being so kind to her.

"Ah I see." He said. He tilted his head and looked at her. "There is no reason to fear me, I will not hurt you." It sounded strange,coming from his lips. He had hurt so many people before him and had been hurt by many others.

“I-I’m sorry…” she apologized shakily, not realizing she was showing a bit of fear to him. “This is my first time talking to other people than my childhood friend…” Putting her hands behind her now as she looks to her right in embarrassment still on what she was doing.

"No need to be sorry. Sometimes it can be quite embarrassing to meet new people." He smiled again. He did not quite know why he was being so nice to the girl, perhaps because she seemed so...helpless.

Looking at Demetrius at the corner of her eyes, she couldn’t help but feel a bit calm now on how nice he was to her. Maybe it is time to change things a bit for her, but she didn’t know where to start when she first came to school. “I guess it’s all right to be embarrass most of the time…” Starting to face him now as she continues to put her hands behind her. “What’s your name??”

He smiled. "Demetrius D'Leon, at your service." He said, making a bow. "And what is your name little one?" He asked, his head tilted slightly.

‘L-little?’ she repeated in her mind as she twitches a bit, is this what people think of her all of the time? She knew she was short, but she was never called “little” before in her entire life. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Demetrius,” she said calmly, bowing a bit to him in respect. “I’m Reikon, but must you call me little?” Giving him a look now on what he said.

Demetrius chuckled. "Don't fret, I say that to most younger girls. If you do not wish for me to call you that I shall stop." He said,tilting his fedora hat towards her. He smiled. "Reikon, what an interesting name. Does it hold any meaning?" He asked.

‘You still shouldn’t have call me little in the first place…’ she thought in annoyance still, continuing to give him a look for calling her “little” as she starts to cross her arms in front of her now. “My name means ‘soul’ or ‘spirit’ in Japanese…does your name have a meaning also sense you ask about mine?” Looking at him in wonder, feeling a bit curious about Demetrius now.

"No, merely a European name. D'Leon does mean the lion though, it's a name passed through the generations." Demetrius said. He looked at Reikon and saw annoyance on her face. "I see, you do not like to be called little. Forgive me." he said in that strange old fashioned manner of his.

Reikon blinked in surprised when he apologized again, but suddenly smiled at him for being respectful to her than other humans she met in the past. This was one of her rare moments to smile at someone than her childhood friend and she was relief to meet someone who wouldn’t hurt her for being a half-breed. “I’ll let you go on this one for being nice to me Demetrius, but tell me…what brings you to this school??”
