I guess so. I think the reasoning behind it was because if they could consider Pluto a planet, a lot more things in space could be considered planets.

Yeah, that was their argument, oh, and the rotation around the sun follows that of... I can't remember which planet, so it was more like a "moon" but I still think it's bogus. Poor little Pluto.

But... but I like Pluto. For many reasons, one of which is that he's named after the Roman god of death. Or in Greek mythology, he'd be Hades. Lord of the Dead.
