Daved growled inwardly as the fish darted between a rock formation near the bottom of the lake. --Missed again-- he thought in disgust, as his head emerged yet again from the water. He pulled himself up and lay upon the surface, the small waves that were beginning to form splashing against his side. "Looks like another storm's coming" he said to the darkening sky, and sure enough, moments later small *plunks* could be heard starting at the far side of the lake, moving slowly towards him. --I love it here-- he thought in contentment, as he closed his eyes, and let the raindrops wash over him.

merock106 I would like to skip the academy. Here goes. My characters name will be Sora Hyuuga of the Hyuuga clan. Here is an RP sample: Sora sat in the middle of a clearing in a forest, panting hard. He had just finished training his taijutsu. He got up slowly, still breathing heavy. As an academy student, he rarely sees action and trains after the academy class lets out. After Sora caught his breath, he dashed off to the Ichiraku Ramen Bar. ((I know It's not the most exciting sample, but I hope it gets the job done.)) You don't skip the academy by posting in here, I just asked that exact same question about three posts up. Approval here just means you're good enough to be involved period. Which I don't really understand at all, since we had to give an RP example to get into this guild in the first place... Why do we need to do it again, since we're apparently good enough to be here?

A Varden Fighter I have no character yet. Sorry. "Thank you Ni-san", Nicole said loud enough for her brother to hear. She was thanking him for the dinner they had together. She only saw her brother once a month ever sence he got his new job as an ANBU. He had shown her his mask once but told her not to tell anyone about his job just incase. 'They might come to hunt you down or Mom and Dad and I don't want that to happen', he had said with a smile. She slid open the door and walked out out of the house grinning.
She had to get home before sunset or she would be grounded. She didn't like to be grounded at all. 'It's so boring', she had always thought of it. She looked at her feet. The sidewalk was made of cement and just as hard. She wore no shoes because she had never liked them. She looked up and around at her suroundings. On her right was a small meadow filled with bright green grass while on her left there was a small town of farmers and traders. Where her brother lived there were no Shinobi around but somehow he recieved information just the same. The sun cast long shadows on things such as wagons and nearby trees. It made the clouds look as if their outlines were orangeish(Sp.?)-pink.
I guess I'll be late, she thought picking up her walking pace a bit, unless... She began to run; her feet thudded softly on the sidewalk at each step. She was quite fast for a Child but only because of practice. I run!, she finished her thought. She grinned while running; ocasionaly dodging people, objects and animals, which only made it funner for Nicole. After a long while but just before the sun set, she got home in time to go to bed after a quick shower.Pass. I agree completely with Zuzzy. 3nodding This is one of the best rp samples I've seen. It has literacy, imagination, length, and details! The rest of you learn! domokun

Fujita Junpei Ok my Character is Fujita Junpei from Otogakure. RpJunpei was ready, this was his day, he was going to start his way on becoming a ninja. He stood at his door thinking about how exciting his new life was going to be and how much fun he was going to have training. His mom saw him standing there and she said goodbye and Junpei left hurrying. He didn't want to be late on his first day on ninja training. Mmm...Pass. Be careful about starting all your sentences off in the same way. Mix it up and show some variety.

Meh. Length helps. But you're just proving that you can spell and write well enough to avoid giving me a headache. This is more than adequate to prove that. So pass. ^^

It's more trying to help you out than anything else. We offer suggestions to help you fit in better with the levels of people that are here. Some villages have a more relaxed rp style. Which is fine. But others have mostly high-level literate rpers. So fitting in there would be a bit more difficult.

It was noon and the sun was beaming from above, a young girl with dark hair styled in braids was kneeling in the tall grass. She was in the part of the forest near Konoha where the grass grew even more wildly than it did everywhere else. Her friends that had been training with her had all gone back to Konoha for lunch but she didn't want to stop her exercise. She made a mighty bound into the air, seven targets at the ground below, and one hanging from a tree limb spinning in the wind. In midair she uncovered her senban from under her arm warmers and sent them flying towards the target. She gracefully landed in the grass and looked at her results as she pivoted on her left foot. The rotating target was whirling around rapidly all ten senban from one of her senban rings had pierced it. On three targets she hit the bulls eye each one with exactly three senban stuck into the red dot. Hikari was still not happy with her results however and she miserably collected the rings. She noticed that all of the red and white targets needed replacing. 'Oh boy, I guess I can no longer train with these.' she thought.
Breathing heavily Hikari readied herself for one last go at target practice when a Jounin appeared (apparently by Shushin no Jutsu) in a swirl of leaves. “Hikari Kuurysai,” he started, “You have been summoned by Hokage Tsunade- sama. She wants you to come to her office immediately she has a mission for you.” With the same swirl of leaves he was gone, leaving Hikari amongst the trees and targets. Disappointed that her targeting was not what she expected, Hikari jumped to the nearest tree limb and began sprinting and jumping toward Konoha. Within under two minutes Hikari was below the rock face monument in front of the Konoha administration building. She walked up the stairs and through the main doors and as soon as she walked in a young woman, older than herself, grabbed her by the arm and began to lead her to a meeting room. The woman was a pretty woman with Auburn hair wearing a red dress and a golden wedding ring on her right hand. “It is very good that you came. There has been an incident and Hokage- sama is beginning to worry. Are you ready to depart?”
Hikari responded with a nod and the two stopped in from of a large oak doorway. The pretty woman opened the door for Hikari and let her enter first. Hikari’s green clothing, hair accessories and eyes all stood out from the blue the covered the walls in the room. Hokage- sama sat waiting at her desk and greeted Hikari as she entered. This was Hikari’s second mission and her second time seeing Tsunade. ‘She’s so pretty’ Hikari thought as she bowed to Tsunade. “Alright, I will begin telling you your mission as soon as the others I summoned come. I don’t want to have to repeat myself because I want you leaving as soon as possible. The well being of other ninja may be at stake.” Hikari and Tsunade waited in silence for the other ninja to come.
(OOG:Hikari is a character I made but she will not be the one I use here, also I am already aware that Tsunade is not the Hokage in this RP, I just used then name becuse that was the name when I first wrote this.)

((i've already begun to rp in the sound village academy forums but I willl respect protocol and rp here))
Raven Hawthorne had just finished cleaning his small two room apartment. The bathroom was shiny, the kitchen was cockroach free, and the bed was no longer tick infested. He looked at his work sparkle like the morning dew on the grass on his lawn. He looked at the clock he brought with him and his jaw dropped.
"Oh... damn," was all Raven could say. His first lesson had already started. If he sprinted now, he would probably make it in time to shout, 'present,' for the roll call. Raven skipped, breakfast, waved to his neighbor, locked his door, and ran as fast as he could to the Sound Village Academy. The adults watched him appear and disappear across the street, talking to each other as he passed by. Hawthorne shrugged it off, all that mattered was that he got to the damn Academy.
Raven pushed past the long bathroom lines, the other students getting ready for their survival tests and found room C-20. Raven dived into the room and landed onto the ground with a thud. He was sweating, winded, and probably broke a rib, but he still got up and bowed before the instructor.
"Raven Hawthorne?" The man asked.
"Present!" Raven replied, saluting the teacher. The instructor nodded and pointed to a seat two rows away from the front. Raven walked as fast as he could to the seat and took it, trying to ignore the laughs and whispers of the other students.
"All right, class, our first lesson of the day is to review handseals!"
And so, Raven Hawthorne's first day of Academy training began.

Daved Lodfa Is there any way, apart from testing each and every one, to tell the villages' styles from each other?
You'll just have to ask the Kage when you ask to join a village or check out the threads yourself. Remember, all the villages aren't always accepting new members, so you'll need to check the Village Status thread to see who's accepting new academy students.
