Whoa, Tracey thought as things seemed to unravel. Not only were two members of the crew hurt, at least one that should not be moving for at least a day, but now someone was leaving the crew. The two able seamen he brought aboard must really think the ship was dysfunctional.
He had no idea that that the argument that happened before he came back up the second time was about him, and Victoria judging him. He called out, mainly to Sammy but felt everyone needed to hear some reason, "Everyone, two members of the crew are hurt, its easy to understand why we are all a little upset at this rough start. With that said, I think we all just need to calm down and not make any judgment until we can all think with a clear mind." He didn't want to single Sammy out; however, if he had known what he said would have been focused on a few other members of the crew.
At this time, though, he was feeling bad for the Captain, this is the second worst way to start off with new crew, or for them a new captain. So he was trying his best to help now that Tia was taken care of. Still, he wished that someone would go down there and look after her while he was up here.

Penelope shook her head at the girl, and smiled a bit. "Don't worry, you'll be able to play your violin again... Someday soon." She hoped not to seem discouraging, but the wound on the woman's hand was gruesome. "Let me see..." Thought Penelope aloud, gently raising the woman's hurt wrist and examining it with a very close eye. For a moment, she was utterly lost in thought. After she snapped out of it, she looked up to her Captain and answered his first question. "I think that we should move this young lady to the lower decks, and pick out a cabin for her. The deck is a dangerous place for a person with an open wound. We can't risk infection." Penelope then averted her attention to the girl, and eyed the wrist once more. For one thing, it was badly bruised and bleeding. "The bleeding must stop.." She thought out loud, once more. Heaving a heavy sigh, Penelope stood and felt a bit embarrassed that she'd sacrificed her skirt for the woman's pillow. It stuck out a lot, and Penelope felt her cheeks redden slightly.
Adressing the Captain's next question, Penelope straightened herself and strode over to the Captain. "I shall need rum, and lots of it." Gravely, she looked back to the pained woman. "Rum is the only painkiller for surgey, which, this girl needs." Sighing, Penelope continued. "If she wants to ever move her wrist again, I shall need to operate. I need bandages, sterile knives, stiches, a rag, a room, and rum. Do you think you could supply me with that, Captain?" After she finished speaking, Penelope eyed the other crew mates. "And I shall need an assistant to help me in surgery. Any of you willing to help?" It was a grave thing, surgery. And especially in these times. One could risk losing a limb, or their life. Thankfully, this surgery was going to be fairly simple, and would definately not result in death. The Greek girl put on hand on her hip, and the other she ran through her lovely white-blonde hair. "After the surgery is complete, I will need to see Tia and check on her wound." The woman turned to Tracey, and put a hand on his shoulder. "Tracey, I need you to apply the ointment to Tia's wounds. Make sure to cover every single bruise, cut, or anything else along those lines in the general area of the wound. Do not miss anything, alright? It'a very simple, don't worry. Just make sure you put on a lot. You'll know when you've put on enough when it is thick on her wound. After applying the ointment, wrap the wound in bandages, and keep a watchful eye on her."
Sighing, she removed her hand and offered him a smile. "I'll come and check on her once the surgery is finished. Lucky for me, the surgery will be simple, since the bone is only snapped in two as opposed to completely shattered." When she was finished talking to Tracey, she walked to the woman and smiled at her. "Don't worry, miss. You won't be in any more pain than you are now, and you will also be able to play your violin after the wound has totally healed itself. I'll need to check the progress of the wound every day, so make sure you don't do too much hard work and stress the wound. Savy?" Penelope leaned down, and patted the woman on the shoulder. "You'll be fine, I promise. And with the rum sedating you, and the rag to bite into, you'll hardly feel a thing."

Tia sighed abit as Tracey left, but she finished her water and looked about the room. This was a first for her the room seemed nice and quite though the lack a sound kept her awake longer. Tia got as comfortable as possible and laided her injured hand on her chest and stared strait up as she waited to fall asleep. Remembering her glove and gold braclet were tucked in her clothes she removed them and put them back on her right arm. As she lay there for abit more she looked at her injured hand and sighed this ship seemed to be having alittle back luck, but it was rather normal for a ship with an all new crew, but as soon as Tia was on her feet she would help to her hardest to make sure no one got hurt and everyone worked well together. As she though about this she finaly drifted off to sleep. At first her dreams were plesant, but then she was forced to relive each of the worse experiences she had ever had. During the day she could foget them, but it seemed her dreams had other plans.

Tracey nodded to the directions given to him; Penelope seemed to know what she was doing so he accepted them. He gave the injured girl another concerned look, for he really did care about the other crew, it just seemed that taking care of Tia was a job only he wanted to do. On his way back below decks he walked up to the captain and spoke in a low manner trying not to let others over hear, "By the time I got Tia below decks, her legs gave out because of the blood loss. She has a bit of a fever. Other then that she is doing fine and resting now." After updating the Captain on Tia's condition, so he didn't feel that the captain wouldn't be left in the dark.
Back below deck, he went fetched another cup of water and two more clean rags, one of which was half dry and half wet with clean water. Again, he knocked on Tia's door before opening it and coming in, "Tia.." He called her name out, looking over to her; it looked more like he had walked in on her having a nightmare like she had that very morning. He wanted to ask about it again; however, he decided to solve one problem at a time and physical ones are easier. "I am going to see to your hand while the other crew member is taken care of by Penelope, she'll see you when she is done." Walking over to her, he checked her cup out first, it was empty so he just offered her the full on with one hand and held out the other for her injured hand. He hadn't meant to wake her up, and if he didn't, so long as she didn't look too troubled, he would let her sleep.

Caden looked slowly around the deck. It was only the first day and already there had been several accidents... Walking closer to where many people were, he heard a voice from the midst of it all call out that she needed an assistant with a surgery... Caden hesitated. He had had some experience with such things as surgeries and injuries on the last ship he had been on, and although it was very little, he felt he had at least learnt some things that may be helpful. Once again pausing, but hearing no one else volunteer, he spoke up slightly, "Uhm, I could help. With the surgery. I've had some experience on my previous ship that I hope would be of some use."

Victoria sighed at all the chaos; it was giving her a headache! Letting out a silent growl, she moved out of the picture with Tracey, Samuel, Aiden, and Mariko, grabbing her hat and sword and returning in a swift motion, smushing the hat onto her head in a bit of a rage. This was not a good way to be starting her high seas adventure, and she wasn't about to let something like an argument or feelings get in the way. Shutting her eyes, she massaged her throbbing temple, it helping only slightly.
"Samuel, hold on." The white haired woman began walking towards the other pirate, tapping him on the shoulder. "I should be treatin' ye better than I have been. I was wrong, and ye shouldn't be leavin' before ye've given us a chance." Pausing, she looked to the crew, trying to meet with their eyes, one by one.
"What I think we all be needin' is some time ta' breathe n' gather ourselves back up. And all start off on the right foot this time."
Sometimes, being a charismatic aristocrat had its advantages.
Turning back to Sammy, Zaldeer extended her hand, looking at him solemnly. "I'm Zaldeer."

Mariko looked at Penelope interestedly. So this girl was the Sturgeon aboard this ship?
Hmmm... Surgery. Surgery. Hmmm... That sounded familar. Thinking for a while, it did not evoke any positive or negative memories, like Smile for the former and Decay for the latter... Her mind unconsciously threw it into the "Whatever" catagory.
"Sounds like fun," Mariko said, smiling easily. "Yes, this surgery'll be a whole loada fun, eh?" She whipped her head around at the mention of a cabin. "Wow, a cabin? MY OWN CABIN?" Her beam looked like it was about to snap off her face at any moment as she began to babble, waving her right (unbroken) hand around. "On my old ship, er, the one I boarded after I ate my previous cap'n's parrot, I shared a four-foot cabin with Ol' Smokey, who made loud noises and bad smells," she offered. "I left my stuff there-" She pointed to near the bowsprit, where she had laid down, along with a raggedy-torn jacket, a raggedy-torn carpetbah, a raggedy-torn pouch, and standing out, a calfskin leather-covered violin case, buffed to pale bronze-like gleam and the metal bits and locks on it burnished to a radiant gold.
"But are we going to do "surgery" first though?" she asked.

The woman eyed Tracey, and nodded as he left for the lower decks. However, as he paused and spoke briefly to the Captain, Penelope felt a bit intrigued. What did he say? Was it of any importance? Perhaps it was none of her business anyways, thought Penelope. At Miss Mariko's comment about surgery, Penelope found it profoundly hard to restrain her giggle. So instead, she flashed a brief smile and bent down beside Mariko. "Miss Mariko," Breathed Penelope, unsure of how to describe surgery to such a naive girl. "Surgery will be... Interesting, I suppose." Best not to worry her... I'll keep my mouth shut. "Surgery will be an adventure, indeed." The blonde haired woman left it at that, and shot the Captain a wary glance as if to say; 'I have my reasons for not telling her the severity of surgery.' "A short and easy adventure, but an adventure no less." Penelope continued, patting Mariko on the shoulder once more. "It might be a little painful at first, but I've got to set that wrist of yours. If all goes well, which I see no reason why it wouldn't, you'll be playing the violin in a few months. Is that okay?" Not like she had a choice, but Penelope felt it necessary to get the woman's approval before she layed a finger on her. "Do I have your permission to fix your wrist, Miss Mariko?"

Mariko smiled easily and brightly. She wondered why this woman was asking permission to go on an adventure....
"Sare, why not?" she asked. "Ooo, sounds great? Where does this adventure start?" Mariko asked, thinking more of tracking around haunted castles and boarding as raiding parties. She saw the pretty lady shoot a glance at the captain and decided to do the same, in case he might come up with a No It's Too Dangerous or some Start Acting Like A Woman, Dammits.
So she tried to glare at Aiden, but it turned out more like a pop-eyed green treefrog, one of the strange, long-limbed amphibians from the Southern Ameri Kas. Her green pants did nothing to help reduce the froggy effect either, so she sighed and quit trying to Shoot Glances.

She lowered her hand, and kneeled beside Mariko once more. Penelope sighed, and shook her head with a sad little grin on her face. This woman is so naive, and what's more, she looks like a frog. Quickly, Penelope shooed the thoughts from her mind and emitted a light giggle. "Mariko," Said Annabelle, raising a hand to her forhead and shaking back and forth wearily. "The adventure starts down in your cabin." She stated, simply. The girl gathered all of her white-blonde hair in her fist, then heaved it over her shoulder in a graceful manner. With another quick glance at the Captain, she stood. She faced the sun, and her body was profile- the light curving around her elegant figure. A few strands of her hair blew in the wind caressing the ship, and her sky blue optics shimmered in the fading sunlight. For a moment, she stood there, thinking. Then, she pursed her pink lips and opened her mouth to speak. "I shall need to begin immediatly." Penelope said, raising her pale hand to her forehead and shielding her gentle eyes from the blinding sun. Her pale skin became illuminated by the light, and, to be truthful, she looked quite enchanting. Like a faerie of sorts. In short, Penelope looked rather lovely with the sunlight covering her body. For this reason, many people in Isla Olividada teased her for wanting to become a pirate. They told her that she'd make more money with a job in prostitution. Of course, Penelope delt with them in a professional manner. It didn't both her much. But now that she was on a pirate ship and was faced with adventures and such, she began to understand what those people at the bar meant.
Was she too frail for the job? Penelope frowned, worried that she might be displeasing to the rest of the crew because of her outer appearence. Many people have underestimated Miss Zandrasus before, but she was much stronger inside than most people thought. So, with that tidbit of inner pride, Penelope looked out onto the rolling seas with determination and perserverence. She knew that she would make it. Penelope felt her heart race as she thought of all the adventures she'd live through. And you know what? She was ready to face them, and their outcomes. She would be strong! Penelope clenched one of her fists, and smiled. With the seas as her companions, and her crew as her family, Penelope would make it out alright. She was sure of it.

Tia didnt wake at first she whinned lightly in her sleep slightly from pain more so from the dream. When Tracey started to speak she jumped abit as she was startled awake. She stared at him for a moment wondering if she had been out for a long time. "..Oh..I thought you said the other crew member was fine?" Tia sat up abit and gave him her injured hand and took the water she was quite thirsty though she didnt know why. Tia sipped it abit before looking at Tracey. "....Im glad your back..."

Tracey was deeply worried about Tia, wanting to be able to just chase all her worries and demons away. He answered her question, "I thought she was, it looked to me that she just hurt her wrist but Penelope seems to think she needs surgery." He didn't agree and hated to add the next part, not wanting to cause her more stress, "Tempers were really flying above deck and Sammy is no longer on the ship."
Was he really on the right ship? The Captain seemed really care about the crew, but what happened above deck? Very gently, he unwrapped her hand and cleaned it once more, always being as gentle as he could, taking great care with her. Getting the jar of ointment he carefully applied it, following Penelope's instructions to the detail. Satisfied that he covered, he firmly wrapped up her hand again, careful not to be too tight. "I am glad to be back. Tia, can I do anything for you?"

Mariko smiled brightly, admiring what an etheral beauty Penelope marked in the sunlight.
"The Cap'n said fer meh to pick a cabin!" Mariko said in a sing-song voice. "Didn't you, Cap'n?" she asked. When it seemed Adien was busy, she declared, "I hold thy permission to go to the cabins, right?"
She assumed it was a "Yes."
"Okay, onto Grand Adventure!" she chirruped and went over to pick up her bags literally single-handedly. It was a clumsy manuever- she was right-handed after all. But after fastening the carrying straps on her violin and case and shrugging the raggedy old bag onto her left shoulder, she paced down the creaking ladder-stair thing (??) and onto where the cabins were housed.

Tia sat up abit more upset by this news not about Sammy but that the in her mind it seemed to be her fault. It had all happened when she left the deck. She watched Tracey tend her hand and smiled slightly as the stinging feeling that had been borthering her the most stopped. Her faced turned back to worry once more as she remembered what he said about tempers flying. "No, I should go help if I had never left the deck everything would have been fine. You and I both would have been up there and we could have handled things in a proper manner, but now cause of me and this bloody hand, people are fighting ans we've lost a darn good rigging rat even if I did hate him." She moved abit like she was trying to summon the strength to get up and go above deck and she looked quite determined about it.

Short of sitting on her, Tracey would do anything to ensure she stayed in bed and rested. "Tia, you are not personally responsible for everything that happens on the ship. Yes, people are fighting; it is their flaw, nothing to take responsibility for. When your well, completely better, we'll see what we can do for the crew."
It would help if he knew why Sammy had left, besides that the Captain showed he really needed the help of a competent crew to stop things like this from happening. They alone wouldn't cut it and if others couldn't step up then this voyage seemed doomed for disaster.
